And it goes on and on.
LAST EDITED ON 03-24-10 AT 08:08 PM (EST)Anti - Drink of the night
anti- because I'm not drinking the Kool-aid. Nope, can't make me.
OK, I'm having a nice Cava, with a veggie quesadilla.
I snuck some soft drinks and hot dogs from Tribal Council over here if you want. Fizzy stuff, no koolaid.
Mmmm, a hot dog would be great.
Columbian coffee for me... I'm still working off the hangover from last night.
Looked like it both times they went to her. Will they use the save tonight.
Hi to the judges.
Wham--Wake me up before you go-go.
Kill.Me.Now
![]()
But killing you won't stop it.
I don't think we can kill them all.
'As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapable of resolving approaches zero.'
Hey, this is America! That stuff only happens somewhere else.
You mean voting on something select people don't like isn't punished by violence?*glances at CNN*
Um...
*boom*IED (Idol Entertainment Dud) explodes.
Not before they kill us first. We are weakened by their Cyrus-enriched powers.
So are the judges going to ream TPTB for their pi$$-poor song choice?
Good one!At least one of these group numbers winds up being sung on the tour, like the "Don't Stop Believing" last year. Hope this isn't one of them.
The svck falls in on itself before exploding in a supernova of heavy elements, firestorms, and even more svck.
That almost begins to capture the svckitude of the group sing.
LAST EDITED ON 03-24-10 AT 08:33 PM (EST)supernova of heavy elements
U-ran-ium isotopes decay into U-ran-from-um.
ed. changed a dash here or there, depending on the quantum decay rate.
Our Time Now
Darn. Andrew caught up before Tuesday even though they left him behind.
(*cue beer commerical about NFL playoffs*)Now? Now? Are you kiddin' me? Now?
Casey, went into the second verse instead of the chorus during rehearsal.Siobhan's boss is here. Brooks will not shave until she wins. Scary beard.
Blood on face girl is Siobhzombie.
Katie's Dad can't see kids being sad so he's across the street and someone is texting him what is going on.
Big Mike. Saw some footage of Mike Baby sitting. They have an apartment separate and they've lived together since high school.
Siobhzombie.A little editing and that could catch on.
Siobhan--pack your bags this summer for the tour, you are safe.Lee and Casey--Both stay there for one second.
Tim and Paige--
Randy looking at those two faces, who is in the bottom three? Both not good. Paige worst I ever heard, so Paige.
Paige is in the bottom three and so is Tim.
Lee and Casey are safe.
Paige and Tim.Absolutely no surprise here. For once, the votes tell the true story.
Right as Lee & Casey were being directed to stand together, it looked like Tim turned to Paige and said 'It's us.'
Eye candy stays.
LAST EDITED ON 03-24-10 AT 08:26 PM (EST)Itunes pimpage.
Next Week R&B Soul with Usher as the Mentor.
"When I look at you"
She plays the piano, who knew?
ETA: Is she in serious pain. Those faces she is making at the piano look almost as pained as I do listening to her
or five

Hey, pass a few of those around!
and a round and around
whirl, whirl
Those faces she is making at the piano look almost as pained as I do listening to herOuch.
Sorry to say, simply based on the week's performances, she was a poor mentor.
Next Week R&B Soul with Usher as the Mentor. That might just heal the gaping hole in my chest left by this week. Should be great.
Oooo... Usher. Now this should be interesting.
Idol Gives Back Pimpage.Aaron--You are safe
Didi--Sending death rays to Ellen when she has to give some advice.
Simon: Sometimes you over think it. She agrees. Choose a good song and be good. Didi can't hear him.Didi--You are Safe.
Big Mike--You are going on Tour and are safe.
Crystal--You are safe.
Katie vs Andrew--Ryan talks to Andrew kind of a lot. Acuss Tick? That is what my closed caption says he knows himself as.
Katie in the bottom three Andrew is safe. GACK.
Mike, Crystal, mere formalities.Andrew safe? Double gack. He ruined one of my fav songs.
Well, at least it's Tim and Paige on the bottom rungs.
This is why I've been afraid of Andrew's voter base since public access opened. I think he has a lot more people out there than we think: votes coming from places that the various agencies don't and can't track. If you look at the reported numbers, you'd think there'd be no way he could have pushed Katie down -- but votes we're not counting remain votes.
Is Katie.
Her father probably didn't have time for more than two drinks.
Make A Wave.
So, um, were the "talent" chosen to sing tonight picked to make the top 11 look good?*twitch*
*babbles*
*rocks back and forth*
Who are these people, and why are they on my TV?
Didn't one of them pretend to be a judge?
Yep, one of them got to sit at the table and actually say a few words.
Pfft.A tsunami would clear the decks a lot better.
huh? Who are these two? Is this song for a purpose? Sounds like one of those songs written for a cause.
It's for the DisneyEarth (or whatever its called) movie "Oceans".
LAST EDITED ON 03-24-10 AT 09:01 PM (EST)It's for a new Disney ocean-themed movie. I've never understood the draw of The Jonas Brothers. When Demi Lovato performed on DWTS she was pretty bad and showed how much her music is mixed to cover up her poor singing.
...yet another reason why I cannot live without my DVR.
Her name is DemiI have a 12 year old daughter, I know this.
Yup, Sonny with a Chance.I have two young ones as well.
Ooops.I try to have minimal knowledge of whichever young people Disney owns/promotes.
Sadly, I know way more than I care to.
DH and I had no clue who Demi was so I googled her. All I said to DH was, "she's a Disney singer." 'nuff said!
And David Archuletta opened for her on some tour dates after his AI season. Now I read that he is looking to go the country route. Wonder if country music rues the day AI started knocking at their door. So many lining up on the "country lane". On the other hand, you can't help but admire Carrie's success.
And don't forget that Simon is trying to push Katie towards country too!![]()
Note to self:The bottom 2/ booted one who doesn't make the tour is one who didn't get much spotlight before the Hollywood rounds:
Spotlighted first night of making top 24:
5 of the 7 spotlighted made the top 12 and the top 10:
Aaron Kelly, Sonestown PA
Casey James, Dallas/Ft. Worth TX
--booted--Toddrick Hall, Plainview TX
Lee DeWyze, Chicago IL
Michael Lynche, Astoria NY--booted---Katelyn Epperly, West Des Moines IA
Vered Didi Benami, Los Angeles CA
And there are three more from the second night spotlight who made the tour:Second night spotlight:
---booted---Tyler Grady, Nazereth PA spotlight second night
---made the tour--Andrew Garcia, Moreno Valley, CA spotlight second night…last guy to find out
--made the top 12--Lacey Brown, Amarillo TX spotlight second night
--made the tour-- Crystal Bowersox. Chicago IL spotlight second night
--booted---Haeley Vaughn, Fort Collins, CO spotlight second night…last girl to find out
--booted--Lilly Scott Denver/Boulder CO spotlight second night
--booted--Janelle Wheeler, Tampa FL spotlight second night
--made the tour--Katie Stevens. Middlebury CT spotlight second nightThat leaves Tim and Paige, both who had scant time on camera before making the top 24--Tim wasn't even announced.
Here we go.Paige Tim good luck.
The person who is going home tonight unless the judges save them is Paige Miles.
Tim--You are Safe.
Yeah, she was a total trainwreck last night. At least the vote was right. What remains on the bottom half of the top 10 might as well be part of the same scene.
But you had a great voice when we first heard you. Work things out. You gotta use it to your advantage.
Judges are unanimous we won't even listen to you before we know we won't save you.
Go straight to the goodbye tape.
I have to say, I think she's a nice gal and I think she'll go places. She's got a sincere heart and quite a bit of talent. Time will tell, I wish her well.![]()
with "All Right Now"I like the change to where they get to pick one of their songs rather than the one that got them booted.
And the way she sang it, it kinda makes you think it's "all right now" with her. Nice sign-off.
For what it's worth, I respect Simon for telling Paige outright that she wasn't getting the save. False hope is a horrible thing to have.
I'm glad he put and end to the suffering rather than drag it out. It's almost like his heart grew three sizes or something.
LOL on the grinch reference.Ironic song title..."It's Alright Now" ...that she's singing.
--still wondering if something else is going on with her...family problems or something, especially with the judges' comment last night about not even trying to be in the competition. Almost like she purposely chose a song she'd suck at so she wouldn't go through---listen how big her voice is on "Alright Now"...something isn't adding up.
Also the judges not conferring...maybe she asked to not go on the tour?
Yeah, it's like she voluntarily agreed to leave the comp, for whatever reasons she's got. No prob by me. I happen to like her, just for her character and honesty, even if she isn't a true contender.
No surprise there. And it's the right choice.
@ChrisSligh--This will become known as the week bad singers showed the Idols being a good singer has less to do with success as being owned by Disney.
and loved the Chris Sligh tweet.
... by CNN. Sounds like her vocal chords were in bad shape and she didn't want to risk permanent damage to them. Good read. I still like this gal and wish her well in spite of her poor vocal performance this week.
Thanks for posting. And she was surprised? Wow.
If I was on the thread Wednesday night I would've said that I would be surprised if they did give her any chance at the Save. Mainly because if they used it, then how would they determine next week in the double elimination which one wouldn't get on tour vs the one getting on tour? Would they then have gone on tour with the Top 11? Highly doubt it.
