This is American Idol.
over 24 million votes.Allison sings.Kris Allen Haiti stuff. Idol Give back News
Judge Intro
Simon. I didn't think I was harsher than usual. If you are going to judge you have to be honest and give them advice.
Ellen. No not what I expected. I said I like bananas, I surprised myself. The first time singing with millions watching. Thought there would be nerves, but they gotta step it up now.
Randy. It is very tough. It is really make it or break it.
Kara. It's OK, we are working it out. Husband in the audience tonight.
That was truly awkward.
>That was truly awkward.I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe her husband would set foot in that place after Kara's antics last night. She was nauseating.
I spoke too soon. That! was truly awkward. Like a beauty pageant smashed into the Glee club.
Backrow stand up.Siobahn--sit down you are safe.
Haeley--you are safe.
Michelle--have a seat you are safe
Kaitlyn--you are safeKatie and Janell. One of them leaves us tonight.
Randy, one is leaving, you don't know but who do you think is leaving. Says it is too tough to call.
After the vote. It is the end of the road for Janell
Can't say I disagree.
Should have paid attention to Snidget's spreadsheet!Wow, way to crash and burn on a preseason prediction, lol.
Now I'm all about Crystal.
Remind me, can top 24 peeps come back in another season?
No they haven't before.Sometimes if you made it to the chair episode you couldn't come back even if you weren't voted on.
Scars
I loved her singing, but seemed as if the band was playing a different song. And yes, I loved the outfit - shoes, buttbow and all.
Thought all season long that she was the best of the girls. Last night just confirmed that to me, once again! PLUS, she has personality to boot! LOVE HER!
Paige--is safe
Lacey--you will have to endure for another week--safe
Lilly--ask you to chill, take a seat, you are safe
Crystal--you are safeAshley and Didi, walk down to center stage.
Talks to Ellen. They aren't starting over, this is a huge platform and should be proud no matter what. Just another experience. Just a new beginning somewhere else.
Didi you are safe. Ashley is leaving us tonight.
Ashley will be kicking herself tomorrow watching that performance. So sad.
So much for idolforums having any reliable rumors, lol! They reported really good buzz on Ashley and Janell. Maybe Simon's saving them for his new show. ;)
Ashley looked a little pissed.
Well there were some Ashley is the chosen one theories going around.Don't know what she heard or knew but if you even think that story line is going on, getting voted out first has to hurt that much more.
Tyler in boots and a spa robe.
Doood, seriously?
backrow stand up.Big Mike--America wants to see more of you. Sit down you are safe.
Jon Park--He is safe
Aaron--The King was right, you are safe.
Todrick--you are safeTim vs Joe
Kara...America right? Unfortunately we have to send one home. Out of that group, I wouldn't say that, no.
Tim, sit down you are safe.
Most shocked face ever.
LAST EDITED ON 02-25-10 AT 08:43 PM (EST)
Wow. I haven't watched the guys show, but that was pretty good. Shame he's leaving.
Darn, switched from Survivor to the Olympics by mistake and missed the rest of AI including seeing the shocked expression. Was tonight about creating buzz for the show? Off to check Snidget's prediction thread.
Just tuning in now because I was predisposed by THE CANADIAN WOMENS' HOCKEY TEAM WINNING GOLD!!*MC floats back to Earth*
Will try to stay focused.
congrats CanadaI'm in Survivor land-
wondered but should have known where to find everyone
Lists sponsoring companies.Kris Allen was in Haiti.
Kris's performance on Itunes and 100% will go to Haiti. Also other ways to donate.
Kris singing Let It Be with photoes of Haiti behind.
Casey--you are safe.
Jermaine--tough to hear all that, but you are safe.
Lee--you are safe.
Andrew--you are safe.Alex vs Tyler.
Down to center stage.
Simon...Out of these two. I think Tyler it is over. I think.
The one staying in the competition is Alex.
Tyler is headed home.
Audio is lost.
I'm watching Survivor...so the poser on AI is gone?Weird night, goes with weird week.
I'm going to file this under: There's something else going on.
Yes, but what? What keeps going through my mind is that whoever wins needs to respectably be able to sing the National Anthem at some important game in about 8 months...so who is worthy of that honor? ;)
You make a good point.
Another great job!
Yes, thanks! I appreciate the play by play, especially when I'm travelling and have to miss the show.
Just really need to know if Casey can sleep in late tomorrow. As I will. Thanks Snidget.
That wasn't just the sound guy asleep at the switch again.http://news-briefs.ew.com/2010/02/26/american-idol-dropped-audio-results-show/
The four seconds of dropped audio you may have heard toward the end of Thursday night’s American Idol results-show telecast was not caused by a technical glitch. A Fox spokesperson confirms that “the audio was dropped by broadcast standards due to language.”
What’s more, a source who was at the results-show taping tells EW exclusively that, in fact, it was contestant Alex Lambert whose salty language got bleeped.
Wow, that cute little puppy dog said THAT?? LOL. We don't even know what it was he said, but here I thought all along it was Tyler saying something like, "There is no BLEEPING way I'm singing for anyone now, DUDE"!Seemed more normal coming out of the rocker's mouth, somehow...guess not.
Just once again, IMHO, America got it SO wrong when they voted for Hayley to stay. What can ya say? I don't stay up long enough to vote, so I really can't get too deep into the waters with all this. Like I said, just an opinion.
But I DID love the look on Tim Urban's face. Now THAT was priceless, and should be made into an American Express (or Visa, whatever) commercial!!
I haven't checked the web for video yet, but I read on another board that Ryan **never said the people who were leaving were the ones with the lowest votes**.Anyone have the show on tape or DVR? Can you check near the beginning of the show to see how Ryan says it? I only saw the early part and I think Ryan was saying something like "the one who is leaving us tonight is..."
