I see Chris GoLightly in the back. But didn't seem him in the show, or in the

Tim Urban mentioned in the final 12 boys, but not during the show that I saw.

Yep, I rewound the dvr and even midway through the show there was a quick cut of Tim and others still waiting to be told...so even the show was acknowledging that he hadn't been told in the first half of the show. But hey! He wasn't told in the second half, either, just got slipped into the line up at the end.

Could it be that they didn't show it because it didn't happen? That Tim is a back up to the one that they had designated (Chris Golightly according to the spoilers), but there was no Chris to be seen. That's my guess. They didn't have any film of Tim's being told yes and they hoped we wouldn't notice. But we did, especially since Ryan kept going with the whole tally thing. "Now 15 of the 25..."

I think the casual viewer may not notice, but anyone counting as they went along (or ticking off the spoiler list) would notice it as pretty obvious.

I saw Chris in the "here is your top 24" group shot. Didn't hear any mention of Tim until the top 12 guy individual dance off.

Darn, I've already changed the channel so I can't go back and look. What a gaffe for the show. But they've never treated everyone equally, so why not get an early start in the top 24?

Thing is, Tim Urban sounds like someone you already know, like Keith Urban and Tim McGraw. And on our local news they showed an AI chat where someone already had Tim Urban on their list of who they are rooting for. Heh. The show's best laid plans and all. They may have wanted him on the fodder list but unless he lays an egg on the stage he'll probably advance.

Over on Idolforums every single contestant that gets a golden ticket to Hollywood seems to have a fan club. So it isn't surprising someone has everyone on their list. Some people who never make it end up with huge fan clubs before the show even starts.

He had myspace music up and stuff and got some fans once his name was known. He also did get shown during Hollywood week (was in one of the highlighted groups).

So he isn't a complete unknown, but he didn't get introduced to us/reintroduced during the picking of the top 24.

I'm surprised we saw as much of the top 24 with clip packages, and at least most of the "just saw the yes" ones we did see sing during Hollywood week.

Last night he says that he had one that ended June 2009 and they wouldn't listen when he said he found the info to prove that.

The company that he had a contract with says he signed a brand new 2 year contract in May 2009 and THAT was the one 19E was having problems with.

Do not know even if they could have gotten him released in time, or how the being under contract when auditioning would have effected things.
