So we should get that one last desperate solo audition, the drama of the rooms. Watch for the drama when someone is certain that they are in the wrong room if that other person is in there with them.

Press release says they will use some of the 2 hours. TWO HOURS!!!

to introduce some of the top 24.

Does that mean there are some they want to pimp more than others, or that giving some time tonight and then more time tomorrow will ensure we actually see all these people before the performance shows start next week?

I also think they're trying to keep people from drifting over to the Olympics, since the men's figure skating short program is on. If so, it's working -- Mom's taping the whole thing.

I think they usually have set the rooms before they send them in.

Not sure why they make them wait so long unless they are then picking the top 24 while they wait.

Last year they had to move one person and that caused all sorts of drama. But then they moved Tatiana.

Drama, though, is AI. Ryan's lead ins to the show and after the commercials is getting to be like The Biggest Loser. He keeps telling us over and over and over and freakin' over that they are separated into rooms, etc. Get on with it. Stop stretching it. Don't you have better filler footage, AI?

We've sort of cleared Top 24 spoiler time with his induction, so I can post this now: there have been rumors going around about his having been disqualified. If it happened as told, the offending party was his family -- someone Internet-boasted about his having gotten in, and contestants are supposed to keep their status out of the general public until the show officially reveals it.

So he's still a little shaky -- but they're only rumors, and AI might have decided to let him go through even if the incident happened. After all, they can't expect him to keep full rein on his parents.

Defining moment group night. Jessica didn't get to sing so got them to restart. Worked so hard. I know the words. Just let me sing it.

Starts begging. You have no idea. I know I can do better. It sounds pathetic to beg but I have this in me you have no idea. The passion and drive please see that. I have it. I got it. You have to see that. and on and on and on.

Can I ask something. What did I do wrong. Simon says didn't sing as well as the others. Randy, everyone had something to deal with. Improved and gotten better. talent level is unbelievable.

Ellen says it is not the end of the road. This was one no and you will be OK.

The local news just followed AI with a story about the 2 local girls who made it into the top 24. They were not shown tonight, so they jumped the gun on tomorrow's show. I won't tell you who they were or where I live.
