Please keep all discussion of tonight's results, Paula choreography, shocking never seen before on idol events, guest stars, odd lighting, and random camera shots on this thread until the West Coast finishes watching for themselves.

No graphics, sig pics or other baubles, the glitter from Paula will be more than overwhelming enough to slow the server down for the dial up folks.

Say what you will about Paula, but she knows dance and is a great choreographer (sp). The kids did pretty good.

I look at it this way. Supposedly they had a mentor lined up who dropped out right before they were to announce the theme for this week.

So they selected Disco as the theme and called up these performers, who had to scramble to get ready to look as good as possible in front of 30 million people or so on a last minute notice. I know how long it takes me to find a dress for a wedding...I can't imagine picking out a dress to make me look good in around a week if I were in my 60's, lol!

I think KC still performs fairly regularly but I don't know about Freda or Thelma.

I've been saying that for 8 seasons now. For me, it's like "Okay, I really svcked and America voted me out. Now, here's a reminder of how much I svck."

Season 1 was the absolute worst for svcky losers (with the exception of Kelly & Tamyra). If any of those singers auditioned now, they probably wouldn't even make it to the Hollywood round. At least the swan songs of Season 8 don't make my ears bleed nearly as much.

I thought Lil was better last night than she was on Tuesday, but I thought Anoop was really good... better than Tuesday and just really good. I enjoyed him last night. I appreciate when people do their swan songs the right way. Show us something so we'll remember you fondly. They both did and I will.

OM...Taylor and AI made nice with one another? After years of dissing him and putting on former contestants who took the AI/19 contracts instead of renegade Taylor, they let him on the show when it wasn't the finale? I am nearly stunned! Wonder what he promised, because they have to have extracted a pound of flesh or something.

Unless....they finally owned up that they pissed off a big bunch of Taylor fans with their treatment of him and they want those fans back.

Or, Ken Warwick doesn't dislike/hate Taylor as much as Nigel and Simon do/did?

If they had not used the save on Matt last week . . .
wonder if they would have used it on Lil this week?
Surely they would have - they had nothing to lose by using it on it's last time.
So I wonder if the judges have considered whether they prefer to have Matt or Lil in the final 5 - 6.
If Matt had been let go, and Lil really was the bottom vote getter this week, Anoop would still be there too.

You know Lil & Anoop have to be thinking "what if"
