Of course, the real network definition of 'success' for this series is the number of tabloid headlines generated, so by that standard -- actually, by that standard, Brad still fell short. Maybe if they give him a third chance, he'll learn to start slapping his chosen one in public while screaming racial epithets and then they'll have something.

So another one bites the dust, which means poor Chris has to hit the Erase button on his memory again and repeat the 'we are all about romance' until someone believes it. And every time this happens, it takes at least an extra three seconds to find a someone.

Well just colour me shocked, Shocked, SHOCKED! that the lovebirds didn't make it. Really, he was such a catch, what could she have possibly been thinking? I mean, just because her 5 year old is more emotionally mature than Brad, is no reason to call the whole thing off. Maybe Brad will find true love with his therapist.
So, when is the next Bachelorette starting? (heaven forbid I give my liver a chance to fully recover)

I am more shocked it lasted this long. I never understood them as a couple. It just didn't click for me.

If I were Emily I would not so politely tell the producers to eff off, I've got a 5 year old daughter to think about here and I'm not marrying the wrong guy just to keep your batting average above the Mendoza line. And since said 5 year old has a rich granddaddy with a bunch of car dealerships which could pull ads off a bunch of ABC affiliates if ABC pushes it too far, ABC better back off and let her go.

If Ali and Roberto get married, that'll be three. I think they will, I just don't know when.

Anyway, I think The Bachelorette has a slightly better track record than The Bachelor. Granted, part of it is because there have been fewer Bachelorettes than Bachelors; but as you yourself pointed out, one of the two marriages wasn't even the original pick. That was Jason Mesnick. The other was Trista from The Bachelorette, and she married her pick, Ryan. So that's another reason why there's a slightly better track record for the women than for the guys.

What? They broke up? Nah, I don't believe it. They were such a cute couple.
