I want to say "don't go there again" but I bet they will. The idea wasn't bad, but the gameplay and egos were. If they do it again I would prefer they not bring back any more winners.

This would be a much better season IMO. No previous winners, lots of schemers, lots of drama, plus some sentimental favorites.

I echo echogirl's rule that there be no former winners for the next "redux" show.

It would obviously be hard, then, for the show to be called "All Stars," so I think they should simply run with a different concept this time, and have it be Survivor: Repechage. Or Survivor: Second Shot. Or Survivor: Best of the Rest. Or whatever; you get the picture.

I just think that former winners will always be such targets in the early voting that it's barely worth expending a slot on them, if future All Stars games are to be formatted like the first one; these great players barely get a chance to show up and say hi before they're sent packing! It strikes me it would be good to have the next true "All Stars" event be for Final Two people only, Final Three maybe. That way we'd have enough people to make up numbers, but the element of "vote out the winners because they already have a mil" would be vastly reduced and thus we could have a proper competition.

So for me, there seem to be two types of redux shows EPMB should be looking at: a true "All Stars" with high-placing former players and winners, and a "Repechage" (with a smaller prize?) for those who haven't won/placed highly before.

As always, though, I'll watch whatever he wants to show me. ::grin::

What about three of the strongest teams competing against each other in an All-Stars season? Say Koror against two other tribes - pick any two strong tribes. If some players can't make it, get stronger players from the weaker tribe from that season to fill in (e.g. Stephanie and Bobby Jon for Janu and Caryn.)

Or different seasons competing against each other - Pearl Islands vs. Palau vs. Australia?

Those Idea's sound neat, especially the second one.

Korror versus Rattana? (I think Rattana was the tribe I wanted to put there, but I'm not sure.

Rattana was the name of the merged tribe in S1. I think the tribe you meant to write was Tagi (Richard's tribe). Pagong was Colleen's tribe and hence the theory of 'Pagonging'.

The other most successful tribe on Survivor was in our silly Australian version (that we saw in Oz instead of Marquesas), where of the 6 tribal immunities one team won 5 of them. When they reached the merge at 10 people left, it was 7 on 3 and the 3 got Pagonged out quick-smart. Otherwise I am still waiting for MB to make some sort of international Survivor. I am not going to go become an American citizen just so I can try out for Survivor.

Apart from that I recall Lex and Ethan's tribe in Africa was pretty strong and got to the merge with 6 or 7? This was also due to the fact that Silas etc. got switched in about episode 4. And Brian's tribe in Thailand was strong because of the fake merge. At the fake merge i was 5-5 but by the time they actually merged Brian was up 5-3.

So Koror vs. Chuay Gahn would be an o.k. match-up. And because Koror has 9 just cut Willard out or something. And it's also good because none of the Chuay Gahn people were on All-Stars (S8).

Two totally awesome ideas!! I would happily watch both shows.

Gosh, imagine how intense the tribal rivalries would be. It would be like... for REAL. Fantastic telly!

Pretend that Next Season would be an All-Stars. My idea is to have 3 teams of 7 members each... yeah so there'll be an imbalance of guys/girls... oh well.

Very few of the old All-Stars should come back again. There are a few that really indeed do deserve a 3rd chance. But I think there should be a bunch from more previous seasons.
