The Outcasts Return!

Well the twist is over. I for one am thankful for this! Finally the Pick The Bootee Game can get back to normal! A total of six Ghost Players return to compete for the PTB title. You can welcome them back, steal their rations, make them sleep outside, or simply ignore them. But just like Lillian and Burton they are back! Our returning Ghost Players are: Nash, benjapol, smrtNsassybnkr, Plum Blossom, ejm92, and TungFong. Unfortunately that left sittem out in the cold once again. Congratulations to all our returning players!

A note to our returning players: I had to go back and add up your score the week you were eliminated. You were accessed the (-10) point penalty for failing to pick the bootee that week in addition to your other points (mostly negative) for the week you were previously eliminated. Also, I deducted 3 picks for each week you were out. For instance if you were eliminated week 3, you lost 12 picks, week 4 you lost 9 picks, etc. Also ejm92 failed to list any picks this past week, presumably because he wasn't aware that the Ghost Players were allowed to compete in the regular portion. Well his bonus picks won him a spot back in, and due to him probably not being aware he was supposed to make picks last week, I decided not to eliminate him for not making selections for episode 7B. No points, but ejm92 you are still alive! Please come back this week!

And now some other tidbits that may need to be cleared up! The Ghost Bonus Question A points were awarded to last weeks score. The Ghost Bonus B question (Lillian and Burton) were awarded to this weeks score. As for the merge question, you received a bonus point if you selected either A (traditional merge) or C (three tribes). Answer B (merged but competing as seperate tribes) was the only incorrect answer. There was no RC or pillager, so these questions were tossed out. No points (positive or negative) were awarded. Also, no points (positive or negative) were awarded if you selected a team IC winner. You did however receive points if you selected an individual winner. From this point on, all selections for IC and RC should be individual. A correct selection nets you 4 points, an incorrect selection costs you (-2) points. The First Confessional remains the same, 5 points for a correct guess, and (-2) for an incorrect guess. The pillager bonus question has now been eliminted.

Now our weekly winners!

Survivor Maniac was our weekly high scorer with 22 points which includes the 5 bonus points. She correctly listed Sandra as the First Confessional and wise wise enough to include Jon (8 points for his votes) on her entry. Tribephyl finished with 16 points and would have won the overall top score for the week had he listed Jon. Lolly had the week's third highest score with 13 points. Our overall leader remains DoodleBug despite a horrid week in which she took the late penalty finishing in the red for the week with (-1) points for an overall score of 64 points. Right on her heels are Team Joisey with 60, and bubbastan with 58 points. Will they play conservatively, or go for the big risk/big reward optional bonus questions?

In the Battle of the Red Ink, defending champion forehead had an amazing week with (-9) points for the week. Amazing because unlike the other Red Ink Contenders he was wise enough to avoid Jon on his list of bootees. Jon was worth 8 positive points this week, not good if your name is djandy or echogirl. Forehead only has 5 picks left, but has done remarkably with his few remaining picks forging an (-18) point lead over djandy. He isn't long for this game, but I'm sure he is licking his chops knowing he will gain an additional (-10) points the week he fails to pick the bootee. We shall see how his lead holds up!

Sheesh! That is it for the week. Hopefully I didn't mess up any scores!!!! Also, I will be leaving town Tuesday for the rest of the week. I don't have a laptop, so I will probably find a Kinko's and check in once Wednesday or Thursday to make my picks. I may not even see Survivor this week, so someone please not the First Confessional, IC & RC winners, and votes for me this week. I should be back Saturday or Sunday, so any scoring errors will have to be addressed then.

Failure to list booted player: (-10) pts and elimination beginning episode 3
Listed players who receive votes: 2 pts per vote

Bonus points for highest weekly score = 5pts. 2.5 pts if two people tie. 1 pt if 3-5 people tie.

Deadline To avoid penalty is 12 noon (EST) the day of the show. You may edit up until 7 PM (EST) but you will be penailized (-5) points.

You are limited to 50 picks for the entire season. You can list as many as one less than the remaining number of Survivors. If you survive until the end any unused picks will be added to your score.
