I don't know if this has been discussed already, but a few weeks ago, I saw travelocity commercial with Jon and Kelly in it. I've only seen it once. Could this be a possible spoiler??

Haven't seen it, but find it very interesting. I think it could be a great spoiler. Why would a 2nd or 3rd place team get an endorsement?

I had heard that Kelly was also in a Priceline commercial. Not sure if it's really a spoiler- after all, doesn't Kelly work as a model? And Tian didn't win, but she made some movie for Sci-Fi and said she's moving to L.A.

(Long time lurker, 1st time poster)

A few weeks ago on CBS was running an ad for Ringling Bros Circus coming to Dallas/Ft Worth and it specifically mentioned Jon "One of the stars of the Amazing Race" and his act of being shot out of a cannon. Of course it broke my heart to see them eliminated last week.

So since Jon is mentioned in an ad maybe Kelly is just getting lucky to get some work out of this show as well. I can only hope...I really don't want her and Jon to win.

They might if they were the most memorable team (which they are I still can't tell which is R/C and which is the other) and/or they have the best agent.

I've seen the priceline commercial and mentioned it at some time in the past. I have seen the commercial enough times and I'm absolutely convinced it was Kelly. The Travelocity one makes sense considering they are on the Amazing Race, with all the traveling and such.

Hey, I know Jon/Kelly are not everybody's favorites, but I'm sorry, Kelly is nowhere near as bad as Flo as far as I'm concerned. Jon and Kelly combined aren't as bad as Flo. They're at least funny.

Agree! Kelly only whines about being 50% of the team, Flo whined about EVERYTHING! Kelly is far more adventurous than Flo and a greater all around contributor. This team seems more annoying than F/Z to most because Jon dishes it out too. Zach just rolled over and begged for more Flo abuse rather than screaming back at her.

I saw one of these commercials and recognized Kelly right away - don't think the one I saw had Jon in it, or at least I didn't recognize him. And although I find Jon and Kelly really annoying, Kelly has knocked herself out to be adventurous, conquer her fears and keep up with the other players. Flo was an incredible whiner (to put it mildly) and Zach had to coddle and carry her every step of the way. If Kelly/Jon win, at least I would feel like they both worked hard to get there.

Yeah, it's Kelly, but there's no Jon ... so the commercial probably isn't something that the Kelly/Jon team "won" because of TAR4.

In the commercial I saw, (maybe it was priceline and not travelocity, not sure) anyway, it showed BOTH Jon and Kelly. So, I'm not sure if we're all discussing the same commercial... At the end, Kelly said something like, "This means next time I won't have to stay with my mother-in-law..."

I don't know if it's because they won, but Priceline and Travelocity have a Marketing Alliance. So while there might be multiple commercials, it probably counts as the same "gig" for Kelly and Jon.

In addition to that, as a former travel agent, I can tell you that Travelocity is powered by Sabre (an airline computer reservation system). Not such a big deal except American Airlines uses Sabre exclusively. As we all know, American Airlines is one of the main sponsors of TAR4. Hmmmm...

At least their website is. (They always mention American Airlines Website when giving away the trip) You know, now that I think about it, when did the Travelocity/Priceline commercials first air?

When was this edition of TAR originally supposed to air? Spring right?

Could it be that the commercials were originally timed to air *after* the end of TAR? I think most of us assumed they were actor wannabees and the gig was coincidence, but maybe not....

it was supposed to have aired at the end of February, got pushed back to March and then to May .

Jon and Kelly's website -- http://www.kellyandjon.freewebspace.com was the first group site up. It was up after the first episode. Could this be a spoiler?
