I did it again, I was so busy on one internet website I forgot the time.

I hope to catch up, but I doubt I will.

First, a flight Praque to Harare then a train to Imire Rhino and wildlife conservancy.

Looks like a bunch point at the airport.

And all seem to get on the train too.

Comment that they have been traveling for 30 hours.

Team members have to build their own tents to sleep in overnight.

But the order they finish the tents affects the following day events.

Note: Some teams have never gone camping before.

There is a inspector, the team that finished first got a #1 sticker, and do on.

Interestingly, no-one seem to have made mistakes that just seems to be a speed test.

Phil wakes them at the crack of dawn, then tells them they have to do a partner swap!

The order of teams lets them choice who they want to partner.

Yeah, I thought some teams would have messed up, too, but I guess it was just a basic tent to put up, and they aren't that complicated. I'm surprised some people have never gone camping before, though.

Row makeshift rafts and search small islands for the next clues.

Then race to a lookout tower for the next clue.

Rhino rack or Bush wack:

Find poacher clues from horse back and find the locations on a map.

or

Refill a ranger supply point but you have to thru bogs first.

One team has to change from driving thru bogs to horse back because they can't drive stick-shift!

How could anyone go on the Amazing Race and not pre-learn to drive stick-shift. I bought a stick shift truck when I was younger just to make sure I could do it if I got on the Amazing Race.

The racers who should be watching for poaching clues keep being distracted looking at the animals.

Team members walking into the water to make sure there are no soft spots or holes - but the camera person instead points the camera at a VERY BIG CROC!

And the wildlife is looking at the humans.

Racer picks up bone as a clue, hopes it is not real, but once they have it they realize it is REAL!

One team get stuck in bog, and needs to winch themselves out.

Another team comes behind them, tries the other route and also get stuck.

Oh,dear.

One team reaches the pit-stop, but must wait for their partners.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"

teams are learning the difference of manual winches vs powered ones.

Second team at pit-stop and they still need to wait for their partners.

Poacher teams need to remember where they found their clue and need to put them properly in order.

Partner swap is over and the race continues!

One team is having problems with the map, another solves in short order and passes them.

After all the physical challenges, looks like the singing may be a big problem for some of the teams.

Jessica's annoyed that the other team wants to see if they can solve the puzzle for themselves first rather than work together right away. As if she wouldn't have done the same thing in their shoes. I find Big Brother the most annoying team - all about the gameplay, including giving other teams the wrong answer when working together, but as soon as someone tries a little bit against them they get mad.

Myself, I enjoy the teams that try to gain every possible advantage and are all about gameplay.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by featherfish on 02-12-18 at 01:41 PM
I don't love it when they're all about gameplay, but I don't mind it if they're consistent. It's the teams who are all about gameplay when it favors them but get mad when other teams consider gameplay that I really don't like.

Teams are bunching up, and are racing each other to Harare.

Double U-Turn! I hate it.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by featherfish on 02-08-18 at 03:28 PM
Agreed. At least this time it's early enough in the leg that teams have a chance to come back from it.

Teams have to deliver mail in a complex building or deliver tires to people who reuse the old tires.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-07-18 at 11:43 PM
Road is congested which slows the teams down - note it is also hot under the sun.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-07-18 at 11:47 PM
Mail delivery, they need to climb a lot of stairs.

Tire delivery, the open air market is huge with no signs to guide them.

Tire delivery: Teams see the signs but do not see the stairs that they need to go up.

Girls are mad they helped the other team members. But they (the other team) put the tires in the wrong truck!

Mail Delivery: Find the right floor to deliver to have it's problems too.

Sing a song with the right tones and punctuation.

This looks like a hard one for some teams.

PS. I can't sing - I am a Black without Soul!

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"

And people are laughing at their singing mistakes.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-08-18 at 00:05 AM
This is turning into a hard one, I think even the double u-turn teams will catch up.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-08-18 at 00:06 AM
Yes, all the teams have got there!

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-08-18 at 00:08 AM
And one team knows they are so bad that they apologize before starting to sing.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-08-18 at 00:15 AM
The singing, the signing! The horror, the horror!!!

And then they start to dance!

When will the madness end!

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 02-08-18 at 00:10 AM
And one team makes it thru and now has to find the pit-stop.

Looks like a race to the finish line, but there is too big a gap for the last team to catch up.

Question; Does anyone know about The Amazing Race that starts this Sunday?

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"
Posted by featherfish on 02-08-18 at 03:31 PM
You mean another race that's starting up this Sunday, or airing of another version?

The ads say it is a new race. I am set up to recording it so I will see.

I don't know. It doesn't look like it's airing in my market.

You must have picked up the Canadian signal. CTV has presented every season of TAR in Canada but with this new schedule they were in conflict, having the X-Files schediled for Wednesday evening at 8:00PM so they are showing the race starting tonight.

"RE: Race 30 Feb 7"

Guess what! I am in Ontario Canada.

We get the regular schedule broadcast of TAR here, in fact if you look at messages years past you will see me post how good it is to be Canadian because I rarely get any delays in the schedule from US football and baseball games.

Anyway, It is race 30 that is being broadcast here in Canada on this Sunday and the next leg is on Monday, then Tuesday, then Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is back to the US broadcast again, so us Canadians are catching up

So I will post the next leg on Wednesday. See you!
