"TAR 18 Fans, Time To Vote: Ep 1"

Posted by dabo on 02-18-11 at 01:02 PM
They're ba-ack!

The Rules

1. Put the name of your choice for this week's bootees in the subject heading.

This is really easy, just erase the bit where it says "Re: Tar 18 Fans ..." and replace with your vote, i.e. "Jet & Cord." This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately.

Nicknames are tougher to tally unless they're really obvious, so please save the nicknames for inside your post and only use their proper names in the subject header.

2. Non elimination episodes.

If you feel there will be a Non-Elimination Leg (NEL) put down "Non-Elimination (or NEL) -- Team name" in the subject header to tell us who you think will finish last. If you feel there will be a continuation of this leg (Superleg) put down "Superleg" in the subject header.

3. Reply only to this post.

We like a nice straight vote thread around here.

4. Vote changes.

However, if it just so happens that you want to change your vote for whatever reason, reply to your own vote post! Your new post heading should read, for example, "VOTE CHANGE: Mel & Mike."

5. Have fun!

In the spirit of TAR 17, one of the best most fun seasons ever, I've decided to give all these teams a clean slate. TAR at least is not making a mockery of the concept of redemption.

Remaining Teams

Amanda & Kris (Engaged)
Gary & Mallory (Father/Daughter)
Flight Time & Big Easy (Globetrotters)
Jaime & Cara (Cheerleaders)
Jet & Cord (Brothers Cowboys)
Kent & Vyxsin (Dating Goths)
LaKisha & Jennifer (Sisters)
Margie & Luke (Mother/Son)
Mel & Mike (Father/Son)
Ron & Christina (Father/Daughter)
Zev & Justin (Best Friends)

Solely because I bet all my points in Jims' casino on them.

And if they go, I won't be disappointed, as they're one of my most-hated TAR teams ever.

I've heard that there are two legs in Australia, and that one is a TBC leg, so it looks like this one is the one. I also heard that the Cowboys come in last on the TBC leg.

A physical task does them in

I have heard that the Cowboys are last. But they are saved since there is no elimination.

Second verse, same as the first...

or TBC. Every team will have their fans so it makes sense to have no elimination in ep. 1, smart programming, wish they'd do that every season. Doesn't matter really who is trailing in last in a Superleg or TBC, but the Cowboys probably won't be getting a batch of cowboy friendly tasks to start with this time.

I guess Phil wanted a two hour premiere but CBS said no, we want the money from the Undercover Boss infomercial.

I mean, whew! At least I'm not the only one who thinks UB is bogus filth. Wife gets caught up in the melodrama, I get it, but it just irritates me how the thing always turns out to be mega-hype. The only saving grace, really, is every so often they do admit that these people only think they're in a reality show.
