I know that we don't often spoil TAR, and I have to admit that the season where the entire bootlist was published wasn't enjoyable for me.However I have just seen this little tit bit on season 18
It's an All-Stars race (season 12 onwards, one season providing 5 of the 11 teams!). They flew into Sydney from LA this morning.

Jamie & Cara & '911? We may be in last place!' Do let the door hit you on the way out. Marge & Luke? Fine until they hit the first problem and then watch the fun spread. Flight Time & Big Easy & Their Special Friend Franz? Go. Away. Jet & Cord? Sorry, we know what you are now, and the stink is contaminating the entire course.
Kynt & Vyxsin? All right, fine -- but my preference would be for Vyxsin to work with a new partner: I remember why we called the current one Kant. Amanda & Kris could arguably use a second chance. Mel & Mike were just fun. Zev & Justin might be interesting on another run. Gary's no All-Star and neither is Mallory, but neither one particularly annoys me.

I do see one common factor here, though: pretty much every team in the field made A Mistake. One major error which knocked them out of the race and sent them to the final mat to act as low-paid cheerleaders -- across the board. This isn't All-Stars, this is Second Chances. Given that, I'm predicting the Switchback's about to manifest -- possibly in bulk.
Wonder if the Globetrotters learned how to sort letters yet.

Zev and Justin (Season 15) - As someone who has Asperger's Syndrome, I'm rooting for this team!
Jet and Cord (Season 16) - I like them OK as well but not my favorite team.

I'm just speculating so this is not a spoiler but does this cast suggest that Nat & Kat or Brook & Claire win this season? I would have thought one of them would be asked back ('specially Brook & Claire) over the dull Gary & Mallory unless they win.

Not sure about that. Right now, I'm not sure I can see any of the four finalists being willing to subject themselves to another grind so soon after leaving the show with the difficulties of the past couple of episodes (Jill/Thomas might be the most 'willing' of the four teams if I had to rank them). Gary and Mallory have had a little extra time to veg out and they likely would be the most willing to do it all over again, especially with Mallory's gung-ho attitude.I think there's a good bet that we're seeing an all-female winner this year for the first time, but don't think it's the reason why we wouldn't see either Nat/Kat or Brook/Claire in the all-star season as whoever doesn't win would be available to go in a second-chance season.
Just complete speculation pulled out of my heiney, so take it for what it's worth.
As for the question why Season 13 got "ignored" ... I'm surprised that Toni/Dallas isn't back, as I would think they'd be eager to want a second chance after losing the passport and all. I'd bet they were asked back, but declined.
Maybe Gary/Mallory were the last team to not be decoys in this current Race?
Good points but it also seems they didn't feel any need to cast extra all female teams for 18 - they way they had four female teams and no alpha male teams this years. Kisha & Jen and Jamie & Cara are facing three alpha male teams while the Poker chicks weren't invited back.

On 11/24, the teams went to Broken Hill (New South Wales, Australia) via two chartered planes (bunch point!). Upon landing, they were 'picked up' by several four-wheel drive vehicles (locals at the wheel?). I don't remember half these teams; that's not a good sign. Doesn't seem All Stars to me. Second Chance, yes ... but for that they should have cast people that fans wanted to see get a second chance.

Hi OFGNot sure why we don't post spoilers here, it just seems to have happened that way, however as this is a spoiler forum I don't think there would be a problem with you posting anything you have.
My personal issue with spoilers is that I am a sucker for the editing, and quite enjoy watching the show knowing very little and adore seeing the race to the line without knowing who is going to be Philiminated, however that is just me.
Thanks for the reply, Starshine.I have never tried to spoil TAR or looked for spoilers on it all these seasons, as I too like having some suspense on one show. This season I decided I would play the TAR fantasy game for the first time, and there's no point playing if you're not on a level field with everyone, which means reading spoilers, so I took a look at this forum.
I was surprised not to find spoilers in the spoiler forum ... not sure what its purpose is then. But not being a regular here, I won't post anything. I don't know anything beyond what's on RFF.

Many seasons ago I posted the CBS clues a few times and didn't get much response so I stopped doing it. I don't think there's any reason why you couldn't start a spoiler thread, it's just people rarely do. There have been occasional spoiler/F3/editing threads but recently it has pretty much just been voting, East Coast Spoiler Thread and announcing the cast discussions.

There used to be a lot of spoiling going on here. All you have to do is look back at the old pages, for example this one.It seemed to have faded a bit. Some posters left for RFF, who really does do the most awesome job there, but there is no reason we can't have spoilers in the spoilers forum!

Just saw the preview this evening. Is it quite possible TAR 18 starts off with more than 11 teams, but only 11 teams continue?There were so many teams shown with "unfinished business". I specifically saw Toni/Dallas, Dan/Andrew, the poker players, and Michael/Kevin. These teams could have been screened out right from the start?
I saw that, too. Seems like it's just a teaser until an official list is announced. I know Connor & Jonathan can't be on it as Jonathan has been in rehearsals for his Broadway show since October and they were a team revealed in the preview.

Yes, perhaps the spoilers are wrong for the list of competing teams. From the last season there were several shots of Brook and Claire, Nick and Vick, Conner and Jonathon, and Michael and Kevin....in addition to Gary and Mallory.I'm hoping there will be more than one team from this last season....a fun group, imo!
On the Early Show, Brook and Claire confirmed they are NOT in TAR 18. It was either Brook or Claire that's currently pregnant.
