Keep all discussion of tonight's (or tomorrow's) episode on this thread until the West Coast (or the East Coast) gets to see it through until the end.Football in overtime and isn't looking close to finished at this time and we have to see every second of 60 minutes and every commercial before TAR can start.
*sigh*
Which means there is actually a chance I will get to watch it in real time with you Easters![]()
LAST EDITED ON 11-07-10 AT 09:07 PM (EST)We should be just a bit over an hour late.
so will any early viewing Canadians be on here to taunt us with their on time viewing?
with the time change how many folks are going to be able to stay up later? I already know I'm not going to make it, I'm yawning my head off. Give Phil my regards
It was essential to hear Barack, the Lord of All Creation. At least in CBS's opinion.
Aw, it'd be the same if they were interviewing someone on the right, the middle, or completely irrelevant to anything, or someone who would make every human on the planet change the channel.Nothing may interfere with showing every single moment of 60 minutes and every single commercial before during and after 60 minutes.
That was an unusually long commercial period right after 60 Minutes ended - it was as if they were intentionally trying to torture us!(Started watching the Canadian CTV feed, but there were transmission problems with the HD channel occasionally breaking up into pixels and screwing up the captions - so we elected to wait for the CBS feed and start from the beginning rather than to go over to the regular digital feed and miss the first 15 minutes or so)
Still waiting for the start in the States, thanks to the Raiders-Chiefs game. Zzzzz.
Oh look, someone finally pressed the start showing the race button.
The show is over in Canada. I am confused because I never saw Vicki and Nick do a speed bump for being last. Maybe they edited it out. But I never heard it mentioned.
St. Issac's Cathedral aka the 6th pitstop.Departs start a 8:30 am, go by taxi to Atvovo circus.
Circus band, play an accordion, traditional song.
Circus clown, 10 plates spinning for 10 minutes.
It wasn't a great leg even if the detour and roadblocks were fun. Two teams got penalties and philimination was decided by which team that had the lesser penalty.
If you want to know the finish order:1- Nat/Kat
2- Brooke/Claire (They almost also had a penalty but doubled back. More kissing and bamer jamer!)
3- Nick and Vicky (we didn't see them doing a speed bump. What's up with that?)
4- Jill/Thomas
5- Mallory and Dad (or are they 4th with Jill/Thomas 5th? hould have taken notes!)
6- Chad and Stephenie finished last but had only 30 minutes of penalty)
Philiminated: - Kevin and Micheal (broke two rules so had 60 minutes penalty)
I liked that the leg was rather hectic with people running through the streets, making mistakes taking taxis and trying to figure out clues. I wouldn't want that every week but I liked the way this leg mixed things up a bit. It wasn't a given that Jill and Thomas would win again because they were in the same city as the previous leg.
Yes, that was fun but it mainly happened because of the bunching point at the circus. Without that, we could have had a repeat order again.I have a question about spotting the church. They said only 2 teams could go up there at a time but they didn't say anything about a time limit. Could two teams have stayed there for hours until they figured it out? Talk about traffic jam.
Four creatures with golden wings guard the bridge.
May not be led by a taxiThen go to a church.
Taxi leading Michael and Kevin.
are they supposed to walk to the church?Brook and Clair and Michael and Kevin take taxis to the church.
of the clue in the tower before all the teams arrived, because you'd think one of them would notice their cameramen's obsession with it.
Brooke and Clair retrace their steps so they don't get the penalty.
More taxi taking.
but clue must be figured out.
Use a stick to knock over formations.
You gotta love Phil's devotion! It was hilarious to see him standing on that board and be knocked down.(Jeff should run through the mud the next time they have such a challenge but he is too big of a star!)
I hope Phil had some shin guards on because that stick could really hurt.
Couple of teams having trouble paying their taxis.Jill/Thomas and Michael/Kevin (I think)
In the fortress.

Stupid DVR cutoff the last few minutes because it went over! Thanks for this info! I figured that Michael & Kevin would be Philiminated!
Chad and Steph missing in action.
Mallory overwhelmed in Oman.
What happened to the Speed Bump?
I'm pretty sure Nick & Vicki couldn't make borscht, but not being able to drink vodka?I felt this might be coming when Phil didn't on-camera mention the Speed Bump last week, but -- yeesh. This one must have been too embarrassing for the producers to put on the air. And they showed us people sitting on ice for ten minutes, so the bar is really low.
>What happened to the Speed Bump?Word on the street is that during the Piano challenge last week, they gave the correct sequence of songs (possibly more than once), and were told they were wrong each time.
Production decided not to penalize them for coming in last, since they likely would not have (or would not have come in *that* far behind), had they been correctly given their clue earlier.
Makes sense. Thanks!
That may also be a good reason for Hours of Operation rearing its ugly head again to cause a Bunch Point... Give everyone a more 'fair' start, so to speak?
It makes sense but we should have been told about it,
http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/the-amazing-race-leg-omitted-speed-bump-due-production-issues-11697.php"There was a production glitch during
that essentially led to numerous time delays for several of the racers," a source close to the production told Reality TV World. "In the interest of fairness, the producers decided Nick and Vicki would not have to perform a Speed Bump."
InterestingSo what if it had been an elimination leg?
Would they have still been eliminated?
Or would they have made a quick decision change to use a non-elim leg at that point?
the Drs. Teeth for another outstanding leg! Are they a target? IMHO if there's a Yield or a U-Turn coming up they should expect to be the chosen ones.
