Fly to Prague, Czech Republic and then head to the Old Town Square and find a man in a Vintage Prada (Classic convertible)

You have $0 for this leg of the Race!

Meghan/Cheyne left the Pit Stop at Midnight

Brian/Ericka took the subway, all else went by Taxi.....

Proceed to Kayaky Troja........

Sam/Dan catch a lucky break spying Meghan/Cheyne dashing toward the Vintage Prada guy......

Brian/Ericka are stuck in a tunnel in their bus/subway mess..... and they bail out to get a taxi.

I see Ericka is as sweet as ever.

I initially thought the bus ride was a financial decision: caught with low resources on a no-fresh-money leg, take public transportation. Now it looks like they were going for a shortcut -- and since when is a bus ever a shortcut?

"Wouldn't Any Team Take the Cab?"
Posted by kidflash212 on 11-22-09 at 11:31 PM
Four teams left, two of those teams have completed the task and have moved on. Half of the team behind you has completed the detour and the other partner will be finishing soon. If you don't get going they will finish and take the cab and you'll be in last place and possibly miss out on the final leg for one million dollars. No one is that nice.

It sucks when the Globetrotters follow Sam and Dan, but if Sam and Dan follow Cheyne and Megan all is cool.

Sam and Dan had an alliance with the poker girls and they've worked with several other teams during the race too. How are they ever going to survive in the final leg without any help?!

"Detour"
Posted by vince3 on 11-22-09 at 09:51 PM
Fast and Furious or Slow and Steady

Fast/Furious: Ride a kayak down the river, get a ribbon hanging down and stay upright down the length of the course. Failure to stay upright means you have to do the course again......

Slow/Steady: Travel down the same area on an overhead ropes course.....

Sam/Dan chose Fast, while Meghan/Cheyne and Globetrotters chose Slow....... and Sam/Dan are arguing again....... TIMBER! Please try again, Brothers........

Globetrotters are so heavy, their feet are literally touching the water........ Yikes! The Brothers almost hit Big Easy on their 2nd pass! Then the Brothers tip over again in the gates section again......

Meghan/Cheyne finish the Detour first...... The guys on the finishing rig asked Flight Time to head down after he finished and was waiting for Big Easy....... He started to head down slowly because he was tired, but once they accused him of slowing them down, he slowed down further to do it on purpose....... Timber #3 for Sam/Dan!

Teams must now head to the Estates Theatre, using the two words that are on their ribbons to figure that out.........

Sam/Dan switch to the ropes, finally. Brian/Ericka arrive and choose the ropes as well.

Reminder: Ericka's afraid of water, Brian's afraid of heights...... This is the worst case scenario Detour for them!

Meghan asked the Globetrotters to work together with them, but when Cheyne spotted a taxi, he left them high and dry to wait for the Tram that they were originally waiting for.......

Roadblock: Find a tiny mandolin among the theater's seating (probably attached to the underside of the seats like it was in the Roadblock's video..... the mandolin is maybe book sized, and in an appropriately sized case)

*snort* I guess there's no time for a haircut on TAR!

"Sam & Dan vs. the rapids."

The first attempt was an honest overturn.

The second one was a legitimate capsize.

The third was the river trying to throw them out.

The guy playing Don Giovanni in the opera hall is freakin' hilarious, the way he sarcastically laughs whenever somebody brings an incorrect instrument or an empty mandolin case.

Watch for it...

I know where Cheyne can find a tiny instrument...

"RE: Just being helpful."
Posted by Prof_ Wagstaff on 11-22-09 at 10:12 PM
... one that he knows how to play?

"RE: Just being helpful."
Posted by MsShel330 on 11-22-09 at 10:12 PM
But that would be if Meghan was searching.

It's funny but the brothers are doing everything that they hate in everybody else. But then again a lot all of the teams are like that to some extent.

But that would be if Meghan was searching.

And you'd know she'd found it when you heard "Hahahaha -- no!"

I think Cheyne's brain isn't very large either.......

After literally searching everywhere, Cheyne finds the proper sized case, and with a mandolin inside......

Make your way to the Pit Stop Prague Castle. Warning! Last team to check in, may be eliminated.......

Meghan/Cheyne find Phil and the Mat....... and are Team #1!

They've won a trip to Hawaii (La Knight, which includes a round of golf at a Jack Nickalus designed golf course)

Poetic Justice: Sam/Dan can't find a taxi!

Phil just said, "You're in the final three" to Sam and Dan. But... it's a non-elim! Was there an editing slip-up somewhere along the way?

1. Megan/Cheyne - a trip to Hawaii
2. Sam/Dan
3. Flight Time/Big Easy
4. Brian/Erika

ETA: I just rewatched the scene. Phil (according to the captions) said, "You are in the final three" while talking to Sam and Dan. Was this a "let's suppose" question or did the captions miss something else that Phil said as in "If you're in the final three"?

I think it was theoretical question....... Asking them who they want out..........

Ericka took so long, that the Don Giavonni guy had a snack break and sat with Brian for a while........

As figured, Brian/Ericka aren't eliminated...... but they will have to deal with a Speed Bump, and they're also way, way behind to start the leg.........

Considering this season's previous speed bumps - they'll probably just have to untie and retie their shoes.

Let's vote here,is Brian the NICEST contestant that's EVER been on TAR? I don't recall him doing anything dishonest or mean once.

He'd have to go a long way to match TAR #5's Chip.

And I found Brian very attractive tonight - noticed it first when he was smiling at Ericka at the rope detour.

He and Sam would have made a great team.

Dan and Erika never would have gotten to the first airport without manslaughter charges being filed.

My grandmother actually worked a switchboard just like that - I remember visiting her at work in the Bronx. They don't ring, they light up.

"Foreshadowing?"
Posted by kidflash212 on 11-22-09 at 10:34 PM
Last week Brian mentioned something about Ericka never winning any prelim at Miss America and then winning the whole thing. Tonight, lots of talk about angels and making comebacks. Are we seeing some foreshadowing?

"RE: Foreshadowing?"
Posted by Prof_ Wagstaff on 11-22-09 at 10:37 PM
I hope not!

Angels & Demons/Brian & Erika.

"RE: Foreshadowing?"
Posted by kidflash212 on 11-22-09 at 10:41 PM
I don't know - all the other teams came off a bit negative tonight - Flight Time's gamesmanship at the detour, Cheyne's abandoning the Globetrotters with the taxi and Sam & Dan taking Brian & Ericka's taxi. All while Brian is being shown in the most positive light since Kris & John.

"RE: Foreshadowing?"

Oh I agree! I just prefer Brian without his baggage.

"RE: Foreshadowing?"
Posted by CTgirl on 11-22-09 at 11:39 PM
I agree. I caught that comment last week too and with all the talk of angels and lucky breaks, it made me wonder. Some endings of TAR have come down to luck - the right taxi cab etc. so if they're still in it, they could pull it out. Not sure how I feel about that. Brian is a nice guy; Erika isn't so nice. And to think that they went on the race to show her mom that he was a good guy!

I'm on the fence about it too but I would prefer they win over the Globetrotters. My first choice is Sam & Dan, Sam's dreamy blue eyes get me every time.

Last week Brian mentioned something about Ericka never winning any prelim at Miss America and then winning the whole thing.

The sad thing is, that statement is not entirely accurate - Ericka won the Evening Wear portion of the competition as well as the Talent portion on the final night(yes, I know those are not considered "preliminary" events, but for me, who wouldn't give a rat's ass about Miss America if not for seeing her on TAR, they're close enough.)

As far as this being foreshadowing, if the previews are any indication, they don't have a prayer of surviving, but if they make it to F3, hey, crazier things have happened.
