Gymnastics in Romania is up first after a flight from Munich.

Looks like Tammy and Victor got on the full 3:20 flight

uh oh. The flight is having problems

...and they try to switch planes.

They don't make the 4:45 and will be in the back with the group on the 9:30 plane!

Problem with Tammy & Victor's flight and they have to return to Munich and they also miss the 2nd flight.

Brad & Victoria try a different flight through Amsterdam and miss the connection!

Lots of flight issues. Kinda nice to not have them all bunched on the same flight for a change.

Brad/Victoria's flight to Amsterdam, and then connect to Bucharest idea went up in flames when they completely missed the connection......

They've caught a small break. The train to Transylvania doesn't leave until 6:30am.

However, the earliest flight out of Amsterdam doesn't arrive until 9:00am, I think..........

Now teams have to wait for a morning train to Transylvania.

Detour!

Choose gypsy moves or vampire remains

- move a bunch of junk in a truck

-or- find a coffin

with a local band playing maniacal background music!

And locals rolling on the ground laughing their butts off.

Gypsies making move all sorts of big heavy things.

Elsewhere taxis drive on the sidewalk.

The gypsy moves detour has annoying "hot soup" type music.

Gypsy Moves or Vampire Remains

Gypsy Moves: Load up a bunch of furniture and stuff into a cart, and then drive it to the other side of the park.

Vampire Remains: Go into a wooded area graveyard, and take a coffin down a hillside. At the bottom, you have to untangle the chains, and then open the casket to find frames. Then, in the spirit of Dracula, spike the frames until you get a TAR colored flag which you trade for the next clue....... from a Grim Reaper!

Whomever is in charge of the tasks and detours this season is doing a bang up job. Vampire Remains? drag a coffin down a hillside, then impale pieces of wood that have fake blood in them until you find a TAR marker? lol!

What the heck on the gypsy move? My son asked why would people want to move a car carcass? The party atmosphere was fun though.

any marker is the right marker.

But there are red and white stripes in addition to TAR yellow and red arrows.

In Transylvania one should never assume a red slash is anysing but a red slash. I don' dringk vine.

I have a feeling he didn't.

I suspect Victor's severe case of Overprotective Big Brother Syndrome will lessen during the Race, like Ron's case of Overprotective Father Syndrome lessened during his time with Christina. However, I predict frequent struggles for Victor not to relapse -- and maybe even a relapse or two. But it's a start for him.

Is it just me or are Asian older brothers more likely to suffer from Overprotective Big Brother Syndrome?

I'm surprised they made them do the Detour. I would've thought that they would've given the Express pass to Phil.......

It might be that the producers gave them a choice of throwing in the towel or going ahead with the detour since they were close enough to the end.

If I were in the same position, I'd have wanted to go ahead and complete everything even if I knew I was being eliminated, just so I could experience as much as I could as part of the race and to say that I didn't give up on anything.

I like them.
