Is everyone ready for the end of it all?
i think only the NYC Media Market will be the only ones that'll be late, and they apparently are delayed by 4 minutes......
-- will begin at http://www.myinfochat.com/ in the Recreation & Sports room immediately following the closing credits. Please remember to have Java enabled, and that you will not be able to change your chosen name once inside.Should Andrew & Dan win, bring beer.
Made it home in time for the on time start. Woo and Hoo!!!
Die Frat Boys, Die!
Phil hath recaped not to praise Dandrew, but to bash them. 'Bumbling', indeed.
Head directly to the Final Destination City: Portland, OregonThen head to a park to get your next clue.
Nick/Star: 10:54pmKen/Tina: 3:34am!
Good thing the first flight out isn't until the morning.........
LAST EDITED ON 12-07-08 AT 08:08 PM (EST)the end of the race always makes me sad.
Oops hey, what NY is behind AGAIN? What are we, the Dandrew team of TV? Well I'm going to avoid this thread then until later.
*marches away*
Were those prices in dollars? 4000+ per ticket, good thing they have those credit cards.
I think the prices were either in Rubles or EU
If in EU then all I can say is (:0
Ok, that came out a little unclear. Yes, I am balding but the top of my head is to the left, the mouth to the right. Otherwise it means I have been polishing my scalp a little too much.
Frat boys have a super power.Able to get in the wrong cab in any country.
High and Dry or Low and WetBoth involve logging
High and Dry: Climb up a tree, then traverse a log suspended 30 feet in the air, and each member must jump to a trapeze bar to get half of the clue.
Low and Wet: Walk across a 750+ feet log boom to retrieve your next clue.
Ken/Tina arrive first and choose High and Dry. Ditto for Nick/Starr
DAndrew are still lost.
I hope Dandrew does Low & Wet. I want to see someone do it and they would be funny falling in.
Also because given the way women will regard them after seeing this season, it'll be their only chance.
Did anyone else lose sound or is it just that the Phoenix affiliate has decided to sabotage the show since the local idiots didn't win? It went out just as they started climbing the trees.
I didn't notice that. So may have been your affiliate.
LAST EDITED ON 12-07-08 AT 09:30 PM (EST)Since it is still out and no other station is having a problem it must be. You would think someone would have noticed after the first 25 minutes or so and fixed it.
ETA: maybe they let Dandrew into the station for the airing and one of them tripped on a cable.
Travel by Taxi to the Bridge of the Gods, then travel by Zipline to the islan 2000 feet away.
I want to do that zipline! It looks awesome.Tina is scared to jump into open air to grab the clue.
Personally, I understand how she feels.
But personally, for a million bucks I'll jump as soon as I got up there.
And the Frats are still fratted.
I see Dan is wearing a Delaware shirt, which would ordinarily be a point in his favor but he's too much of a screw-up so I want him to take it off.
Skidmark must remain clothed at all times.Thank you.
A deity has come among us, and he is disguised as Andrew & Dan's cab driver. Save us, oh divine one!
Nick and Starr's driver is not doing so good.Tina jumps off the bridge.
I REALLY WANT TO DO THAT ZIPLINE!!!!!!
Wow! A memory task. I think D&A are doomed.
PS. This task would kill me if I had to do this.
It's not for you!!!!!!! What we have here is beyond all comprehension. Massive fail!
Glad you found your way out of that scary place![]()
Nick/Starr left the Detour first, but their driver missed the bridge.Ken/Tina ended up getting to the Zipline first.
It's time for the memory challenge!
Teams must use a gameboard and reveal a game piece one at a time in numerical order and corresponds to that number's leg and something on that leg that corresponds to the symbol inside: Route Info, Detour, Roadblock, or Pit Stop. The pictures to answer the questions are in 150 different TAR clueboxes!
1. Route Info: The Coffee Cart
2. Detour: Beach It
3. Roadblock: Fighting Cholitas
4. Pit Stop; The Sheep Farm
5. missed it
6. Route Info: The Ambassador Hotel
7. missed it
8. Pit Stop: Kazahakstan's Old Square
9. Route Marker: Monastery
10. Roadblock: The Lenin/StalinDAndrew's Lost again heading to the Bridge of the Gods. They finally made it, but they had a long run to get on the bridge, and they haven't been seen ziplining down yet.......
Nick/Starr finish the memory challenge first!
Man that has me out of breath and I'm just watching it.
The camera made a point of showing everything on the ground by Ken and Tina's board. I wonder if there was a reason for that shot. Do they forget something when they leave?
And after the two teams leave the Frats just arrive.
And Nick and Starr are back in the lead! And the Frat boys have not even showed up yet.
That was not in real-time, it must be edited down. I can't see it being done with all that running in less than 15-30 minutes.
And now a game of taxi tag breaks out.Now the two team's taxi split up and Nick and Starr go to the right building.
After finding the clue inside a building containing a painted green dinosaur, the next clue sends them to a food cart pod where they must find the nationality cart of the last pit stop (Russia)Next clue has them to go to "Where the magic is in the hole" Voodoo Donut!
Slick clues for the final leg.......
I wish they did these kind of clues more often in the race. Of course then we would have some players that would never make it anywhere.
They said before this season even started that they were going to make the clues just clues again and then they didn't! Glad to see they finally did them. I agree the whole race should be this way.
LAST EDITED ON 12-07-08 AT 08:43 PM (EST)Dandrew = the Weavers.
They'll be at that challange for a week.
And Nick and Starr sneak out so they are not seen.
Voodoo Donuts! The things you can find in the US of A.And the woman spills her guts to Tina.
Nick/Starr find a donut lover who knows the clue.
Ken/Tina find the lady that over heard the donut lover. Now taxi, taxi, who can find a taxi.
Nick/Starr and Ken/Tina finally got the clue at Voodoo Donut, but now neither team can find a cab to take them to the Finish Line!
And on the run to the Pitstop, all the taxis vanish! How do they know to do that?
I wish I knew for sure what second prize was. I think it $100,000PS. I love how they said One Million Dollars earlier.
Now two taxis appear at the same time. How's that happen?
The magic of editing.
'Go to the place where the magic is in the hole.'...and now we're all banned.
You have a very dirty mind. I like that.![]()
Yeah, I thought wow, they can say that. But they didn't get to taste the magical holes, so I'll have to be curious.
Nick and Starr!
Ken and Tina arrive 2nd.
DAndrew finally finish 3rdKen/Tina put their wedding rings back on, and decided to give their marriage a try again.
Awwww! I hope that they stay together!Yeah, Starr and Nick!
And Delaware gets a good mention, and thankfully Dandrew didn't win.
Wonder how long it took Dandrew to finish the course. At least they got to run into the pitstop, wonder if they made them do everything.
I really would liked to have seen they try to work the memory test. I have real doubts that they finished it, except they did cross the finish line. I wonder how long it took them too.
woo hoo! looked like a close finish. Nick and Starr were full value for the win.Man, was my heart pounding. We don't really know, but it sure was edited to be a close finish.
Okay, I only watched it once, didn't tape it, but it looked to me like Toni and Dallas wasn't there at all at the finish line. Can anyone confirm this?It would be horrible if they weren't. Although if Dallas lost his passport and couldn't retrieve it, I could see why.
In their exit interview, they said that they didn't make it back in time for the finish. Dallas also confirmed that he and Starr were still dating.
>In their exit interview, they said
>that they didn't make it
>back in time for the
>finish. Dallas also confirmed
>that he and Starr were
>still dating.Cool, thanks. That really sucks though, must have been hell actually losing his passport.
Although, as far as Dallas and Starr goes, at least he liked her before she had a million dollars. xD
If you can't win the race, dating the winner (with $500,000) is a good second! I wonder if she makes him go Dutch?
>In their exit interview, they said
>that they didn't make it

Exit interview? where can we find this? Is it at the official site? Thanks.
I posted the link below Pepe's post.RTVW interviews pretty much everyone on TAR after they get booted.
Their passports were turned in very late on the same day they lost them to the local embassy. Assuming the usual red tape, I guess they could not get a flight that same day to get to the finish line on time.
boo!My stupid bet of Dandrew somehow winning the whole thing was WRONG!
Oh, well. It could have been awesome.
I have heard of 'not following the general crowd' but you are taking it to the limit.
Congrats to perhaps the best TAR racers we've seen in all of the seasons so far (then again, they didn't have much stout competition to deal with).I notice that Toni and Dallas weren't there at the finish line. I wonder how long they were stuck in Russia for, with the paperwork needed to get new passports?
linkThe Passport was turned into the Embassy, but looks like not in time for them to get to Portland with the rest of production.

Thanks. That was a great read. I guess I'm less upset about N and S winning. They were really great racers, Especially Nick. and hearing from Dallas about how they were pretty genuine people helps soften the blow.![]()
the most ridiculous "spoiler" clue by Phil ever.We spent an entire season trying to figure out who would make an "unprecedented mistake" and not make the finish. Turns out it was an already Philiminated team. pfft.
Congrats to perhaps the best TAR racers we've seen in all of the seasons so far (then again, they didn't have much stout competition to deal with). They were great!
*happy dance*
So long, loser Frat Boys!
I do think the most deserving team did win this season. It was the ending most of us expected with those 3 teams.
Nick and Starr were great racers and that was a good finale. Tina and Ken made a good effort and kept it a close race. A good ending to a mediocre season - and I even liked the loser frat boys at the end when they were goofing around at the mat.
Yup, grats to the best team of this season. I lost track of how many legs they won, too.DW and I also noticed Toni & Dallas weren't at the finish, and the passport delay would explain it.
Happy that Nick & Starr won. I would like to know how close it really was though.
there will be a TAR 14!http://realitytvworld.com/news/cbs-announces-the-amazing-race-14-will-premiere-february-15-8090.php
ARnutz!
Good finish. Too bad Toni/Dallas weren't there for the finale. I wonder how close it was between first and second.
