Please keep all discussion of the incredible, unbelievable, no-one-saw-it-coming finish of tonight's leg on this thread until the West Coast gets to finish gasping in shock. We were promised a surprise. We were told we'd be discussing it for days after it happened. And would Bruck ever lie to us?

Of course he would. But he's not Markie-Mark, so we can probably count on something mildly interesting happening. (With the other one, we tend to get 'It's the most painful Boardroom ever!'=Donald stubs his toe.) So stay tuned and be shocked. Surprised. Forced to gape in amazement with jaw dropped and limbs akimbo, whatever that means. Because no one could possibly see this coming. No one in the world.

Except us. But we don't count.



I dunno. Maybe Mirna says 'Please' and 'Thank you'?

We should be okay for start time this week. Next week, with March Madness in full swing, is more of a 'Did you want a Sunday or Monday on that?', but at least for right now, the Race will very probably start on schedule.

Unless the preceding show wants to go six hours. CBS would let them do it, y'know. They'd let them do anything.

So Uchenna & Joyce took a couple of hoursz to find the right city, Rob & Amber never figured out the spelling mistake, while Dustin & Kandice went for the M.A.S.H. style. How many Detours do you remember that could be gotten horribly wrong in three different ways? And now Rob's getting overconfident again, while Mirna's dancing on the verge of self-destruct...

Interesting Detour, at least for time: it's one of the few where we eventually got to see just about where all the teams were in relation to each other.

On the detour, all the teams who did Navigate It are on the first Charter flight. Those teams are Cha Cha Cha, Mixed Tag, and the Big Kahunas

Uchenna and Joyce are the first to figure out the correct order and spelling of the signs.

Rob and Amber can't spell Phillipines to save their life, and the Beauty Queens I don't think got the order right, they've switched to Navigate It.

Charla and Mirna, and the Guidos, who got stuck in the second flight out of the Pit Stop, arrived. The Guidos, who chose Navigate It, are convinced that Romber and the BQ's are going the wrong, opposite way. Schmirna is at argument level 25 on the way up to the Sign It. (Estee's got loads more material...)

Guidos were right, got on the 2nd flight.

Romber and BQ's got the clue next.

Schmirna switched to Navigate It, were the last to get their clue, and broke out the Taxi whistle.

Teri/Ian missed the entrance to the next clue and got delayed.

The ferry to the "End of the World" Roadblock goes every 20 minutes, and can only carry two teams.

Roadblock: Sort through a pile of mail to find one of two letters addressed to them. What they don't know is that the letters were written by a team from their original season...

Cha Cha Chas and Mixed Tag got to the ferry first.

Teri and Ian, got on the second ferry by themselves.

Oswald and Danny's letter was from Blake and Page

Eric and Danielle's letter were from their ex-partners, Jeremy and Dani. (They got the title "No Babies on the Race.")

The pit stop is found by walking around the island by foot.

Cha Cha Cha is team #1!
Eric/Danielle is team #2

Guidos letter was from Frank of Frank and Margaretta (the Runners-up)

BQ's letter was from Lyn of Bama (which they called)

Guidos are team #4
BQ's are team #5


Uchenna/Joyce's letter is from Susan/Patrick (Mom and Gay son) and they are now team #6.

LOL! Schmirna's letter is from Marshall/Lance! In which they've summoned up in spirit!

Romber's letter is also from Susan/Patrick which hope they are gone...


Schmirna is team #7! and Uchenna and Joyce are estatic!

Romber is last and Philiminated by the Worst.Leg.Ever.

Totally sucks! I can't stand Mirna and Chmirna! I love Romber and to lose on a needle in the haystack sucks. It seems like all the NITH challenges eliminate a team I like. I've had enough of those kinda challenges.

I might keep watching for awhile, but if that spoiler about the order is correct, I am not going to watch the final three.

Incredible is right...Rob and Amber: Payback is a #####. Not sad to see them go. This really opens up the race to anyone now. My only issue with the elimination is that it did not look like they were really trying at the end. I don't know how long after C & M they found their letter, but they certainly did not run after them, when it seems like if they found it quickly, they may have caught up. Also, how did Charla and Mirna catch Uchenna and Joyce?? Were they still just hanging around? Anyway, this was a good leg because things got shaken up!! By the way, those who thought that Magellan came from Guam...go back to history class lol.

I was mad at Romber for not running too, but I'm guessing they weren't nearly as close as the editing made it look. They likely knew it was over...which would also explain Rob taking it so well at the end. It's like he had time to reach the acceptance stage!

Charla and Mirna's boat also arrived MUCH sooner than any of the others (i.e. less than 20 minutes). With every other set of teams they had already found their letters, read them and started runnning on the trail before the next boat arrived. You can see that Charla and Mirna arrived just as Rob and Joyce started emptying their bags on the table. Was I the only one who caught this?

There's a question about that in the site's weekly elimination interview. As it turns out the opposite was true: The Uchenna/Joyce and Romber ferry was so loaded down with competitors and crew that there ride was much slower than the 20 minutes that was expected.......

Really sorry to see Romber eliminated - but they made a whole-lotta mistakes this leg. I'd rather see them lose that way than some flukey thing where conspiracy & interference could be debated to death.

And even the anti-Romber contingent has to admit they're very graceful losers.

As for the drama over the lies - big deal! Almost every team that's ever raced has done that kind of lying in the past. I was disappointed to see Uchenna get self-righteous about it.

I am going to miss Romber I thought that they really had a chance to win this.. they made mistakes it's too bad. I thought out of all the teams they are physical, and they probably stood a good chance as long as they didn't mess up needlessly.. as they have done..

Oh well I am still in it.. Is it wrong to dislike Charda and Mirna so much? I cringe whenever they show them...

So glad I decided to watch tonight's episode. I have been boycotting it since it began b/c of Romber. (can't stand to look at them) They are so slimey and now they're gone!!!

A good sport? He sulked in the airport and nearly bit Amber's head off when she tried to "comfort" him. Sure he was a good sport for the cameras, but when he arrived at the Elimination mansion he said "I don't want any other team to win and I don't want any other team to come here." Good sport? Nah. Sore loser more like...I think their Vegas reality show demonstrated just what a sore loser Rob is.
