And now we play that ever-popular game, 'What time will the show actually start?' Because nothing, nothing, would ever cut the precious news magazine short by so much as half a second. And there's no way they would rush the golf broadcast off the air. Or college basketball. Or a dog show. Or anything except what we came to see, which can be postponed and pushed back for any reason or none. Usually none.

Sunday at supposed-to-be-eight: the worst time slot on CBS.

The three-hole playoff between Mickelson and Howell was more exciting than anything I saw on TAR...of course, I am in the 5% of the TV audience that actually enjoys TV golf. It won't happen again for a while...NBC has most of the March golf tournaments.

I wouldn't mind another delayed TAR for a playoff at the Masters in April, though Obviously YMMV.

Normally I hate people (golf-lovers) like you, but this time I can see exactly your point. Aside from Rob who seem to have studied how all the other players already none of the teams seemed prepared for the race itself. I expected better from teams who had already played before.

Well, not being a basketball fan (too many timeouts take away from the suspense, dragging out the last two minutes worse than football), March Madness on SeeBS did not occur to me until this morning...so, I guess on second thought that we will likely see more delays.

They don't dare richard over the sports fans in any way. Sigh. Now that it is college basketball season the chances of me seeing any CBS show when it is on as scheduled is next to nil.

The Guidos may be world-class asshats, but I've missed them!

Still waiting for the real back-stabbing to start - we haven't seen any other than Dave/Mary lying to the Beauty Queens at the airport but that's mainly because they knew the BQs from last season and everyone disliked them. C'mon, let's have some backstabbing!

It's weird. When watching this episode, I realized that I kinda missed seeing Teri & Ian on this show. Weird.

Good episode tonight, though. I thought John Vito & Jill were one of the more non-entity teams on here, so I'm not too upset... Although I thought they're nice people.

Well considering how badly some of the other teams messed, C&M for example *KNOWINGLY* going to the wrong entrance, for you to come in last really requires you to mess up. And getting wrong directions and following them for a long time without double-checks is a a prime one.

They've always had that banter of putting each other down or tossing around insults. We got another geography lesson from them:
After one mentioned being in Peru, the other said, "I'm sure Peru is nice but we're in Ecuador."

That reminded me of the "We're in Namibia, jackass" bit in Season 1 when one of the Festers said something about being in Zambia ... and ironically, they *were* in Zambia.

I didn't start watching TAR until season 5, I think. After reading the love list, and some of the other threads lately, I kept seeing people talking about how much they loved "The Festers". But all I saw of them tonight was whining and complaining."Ow, I can't run. Ow, I fell down. Ow, I dislocated my shoulder. Wah, we have a flat tire. Blah, blah, blah."

Those are NOT the Festers that we knew and loved originally. Like they said in the intro, 5 years is a long time and they changed. Seems like they got old and grumpy. Being responsible adults isn't agreeing with them.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. They just weren't as sharp with their banter -- might have been the fact they both got married in the last few years that 'tamed' their frat boys ways that made them so popular in the first season.

They were 34 and 35 and single in the first season, now they're 40 and 41 and married.

It is not just you. These guys have gotten soft, and Drew seems to be suffering thru-out the entire show. His backpack was too big, but even then he seemed very slow. And his shoulder seems to hurt more than just a fall would suggest would happen.

Maybe there is something wrong, but he did not want to give up one more chance to run the race, I know I would do that.

I hate it that CBS always has some reason to start their Sunday shows late!! I mean, who really sits around to watch golf? Plus, 60 Minutes isn't all that good so 30 minutes would be more than enough.

I was very pleased with Rob & Amber and Danny & Oswald being the top 2 teams , but I was extremely disappointed with John Vito & Jill being the first team eliminated. I really liked them in season 3 and thought they ran a clean race and were a good couple who treated each other well.

It is so nice to see all the old teams back! I think I am going to really enjoy it. I was surprised to see John Vito and Jill eliminated...the New York boys really were not on their game.

Pretty good episode. Would have liked to have seen a weaker team go first. Many bad teams have stuck around when teams better than them have gotten lost. Why should this season be any different? I realize that Romber being a lightning rod makes CBS want them around for a while but I for one would love to see them go NOW! It's really hard to root for any of these teams except Uchenna and Joyce from a personality standpoint and it's hard to root for them because they won before. I guess I'll just keep watching and see if a team does something worthy of being pulled for.
