17 May is the finale. Don't know if it's one or two hours though.

Rumor has it that Chip of Chip&Kim says it's May 17th.

That would mean 5 episodes left:
Apr 19: Non-el or TBC
APR 26: F4
MAY 3 : Non-el or TBC
MAY 10: F3
May 17: Final leg starts with 3 teams. Would it be 2 hours?

Michel, with 5 epis left I could see it as:Apr.19 - Non-elim
Apr. 26 - TBC
May 3 - elim. (final 4)
May 10 - non -elim
May 17 - 2 hours part 1 - elim. part 2, final 3 run for the $mil
by the way, Michel I am new here and have read your thread here and enjoyed it very much. Along with Serendipity and others the opinions are very good.
Thanks

Welcome to the boards Tar_Reloaded. Your schedule could be right. Three weeks between elimination would be hard to take. But then so would a three team finale. Thank you for the kind words and why not come join the fun!

It's been a three-team finale in every edition of the race. After last night, it seems pretty clear we have04/26 - Five teams to four
05/03 - Non-elim
05/10 - Four teams to three
05/17 - Finale - three teams to the end
That date puts it up against the Idol Final Results show, however.

Don't worry -- the phone lines will be open for you to call in your Eric&Jeremy votes until midnight. Plenty of time.

Not every season finale for TAR has had 3 teams......The season with the bowling moms (TAR 6? or was it 5?) had the bowling moms eliminated at the next to last leg befor the remaining three teams raced to the finish.

Yes vince, The bowling moms were eliminated in the first hour of the finale of Tar 5.
I'm almost certain Hayden and Aaron were also eliminated in the first hour of Tar 6 finale.
This season's schedule seems to go with Tar 7 when a three team finale wasn't as fun to watch.

Michel, I read where Serendipity had posted that there could be an all-star TAR this Sept. I posted this before and was wondering if you or any of the others had any thoughts.
Thanks,******************
Hello everyone, I am new to this site but thought I 'd put in my 2 cents. If indeed Toad8098's rumor is correct how would the producers of TAR pick the teams. Here are a few possibilities for 11 teams to be picked :
Tar winners
TAR1 - Rob & Brennan - chance of return? - good, 2nd place - Frank & Margarita - chance of return? - good
TAR2 - Chris & Alex - chance of return? - good, 2nd place - Tara & Will - chance of return? - only if Tara can compete with Chris
TAR3 - Flo & Zach - chance of return? - u gotta be kiddin? , 2nd place - Teri & Ian - chance of return? - Say it isn't so Phil
TAR4 - Reichen & Chip - chance of return? - doubtful, 2nd place - Jon & Kelly - chance of return? - see Teri & Ian
TAR5 - Chip & Kim chance of return? - good , 2nd place - Colin & Kristy- chance of return? - good but could be banned in certain countries
TAR6 - Freddy & Kendra - doubtful, refer to Colin & Kristy, 2nd place - Jon & Kris - chance of return? - good, Phil please bring them back!
TAR7 - Uchenna & Joyce - good, class act! , 2nd place - Rob & Amber- chance of return? - good - Will compete only if plane doors cannot be reopened and free passes
to bypass fallen racers .
TAR8 - Nick & any other Linz sibling - chance of return? - good, 2nd place - Bransens- chance of return? - good , pick 2, 3rd place - WEAVERS - chance of return? Philiminated due to lack of geography outside of Florida..
TAR9 - Winners
TAR10 - Winners
11th team - Wild card - Kevin & Drew?, Oswald & Danny?, Jonathan & Victoria?, Bolo & Lori? Jill & John Vito? , Meredith & Gretchen?, Brian & Greg? Ryan & Chuck??,
Matt & Ana, who? 1st team eliminated TAR1, Suggestions welcome!

"All-Star?"

LAST EDITED ON 04-23-06 AT 03:06 PM (EST)Despite it's promise, Survivor All-star wasn't very good. Previous friendships and players thinking they are entitled to star treatment didn't make good TV.
TAR isn't a social game but you'd still have players thinking they are more important than the race. As far as who should go, I've never loved or hated any participants. I want them to be entertaining and be determined to win. The way one Paolo kid treated his mother and the Weavers' attitude were very distateful, but that's about it. I'm not in position to judge the other "villains". Lena and Kristy's elimination was a heartbreaker and maybe deserve a second chance but aren't All-Stars. As far as people from other shows, I only watch Tar and Survivor so I don't know the others, and we've seen plenty of Romber!
TAR needs better teams (the first 4 eliminated this year were pathetic) better challenges (the hiring of survivor challenge planner may help) and have enough teams at the start that every leg is an elimination one.

I know they want a wide variety of players to appeal to a wider audience.
But I really don't need to see the bowling mom's, or the Air Traffic controller team, or the grandparents etc... unless they are going to be COMPETITIVE. Surely there's a team in their late 40's, early 50's that can COMPETE! Or an all female team that will have a real chance. Just give me players who will bring an A game to the table.

How about this for a twist. What is CBS gave us 20 - 30 team bios, videos, etc., and let the public choose the 11 teams for the next race. Or voters could split 22 CBS chosen teams into 2 groups and have TAR 11 and 12?

You're crediting the wrong person, TAR RELOADED. I have heard nothing about an All Stars TAR, and if given a say, there never will be one. Survivor All Stars was a disaster in my opinion, and is one of the reasons I lost interest in it.I don't think I would hate it as much if it were only the winners from each season, but the idea of the "popular" teams doesn't sit well with me. I would guess if we were to take a poll on everyone's favorite team from each season, we would come up with at least three or four teams from each season, and no one would be happy with the final selection.
I do know that TAR has been picked up for at least two more showings - TAR 10 and TAR 11, but know nothing about who will be in either of these episodes. Rumors are flying, of course, about an All Stars, but I don't think it's based on anything factual.

Even though nothing is solid about an All-Star edition, this summer's Big Brother All-Stars might prove that TAR may go All-Stars for next spring's edition. And it is believed that their will be no non-elimination legs. If that is correct, then there would be 15 teams participating. 16 if they add an extra episode like Survivor did. And if I was putting together the list, I'd exclude any team from the Family Edition. None of them had to face the challenge of racing around the world like the others did. The only raced around North/Central America.

People here have said the finale is 5/17, but AOL is saying it is 5/24. Can anyone verify which it is?5/24 is also supposed to be the finales for Lost and American Idol.

Chip and Kim are hosting The TAR Finale wrap party and the invitation says it's the 17th. I think it is highly unlikely they would host it a week early.
