| Puddin's vidcap | Temple of Segesta |
The temple of Segesta is 61 meters long (190 feet) and 26 meters wide, built upon 4 steps, with a total of 36 Doric columns supporting the stone roof-frame of the structure. There are 14 columns on each of the long sides of the building and 6 columns across the front and back, for a total of 36 columns. The columns are of a "rough" finish because they were never "fluted." Apparently, the temple was never completed. It also appears that the structure never had a "cella," or roof, and archeologists are still in disagreement as to whether the temple was deliberately planned this way, or was just never finished. It is believed that the edifice was erected between 420 and 430 BC.
Despite the identification of this temple, I still say Greece is a likely destination. In the last preview clip of the bungee jump, it looked like the canal/gorge that Neobie mentioned was in fact the canal across the narrow strip of land that connects the Peloponnese to the rest of Greece, near Corinth.
*claps hands excitedly*Yes! Yes! You nailed it!

Yes, I know that gorge well. I used to be stationed (USAF) on an airbase in Greece and made many trips over the bridge above the canal. There is a rest stop, gas station, gift shop, snacks shop right next to it and we stopped there many times on our trips to Athens.
I'm also thinking of the possiblity the teams take a fairy from Scily to Patras or viceversa. It makes perfect sense to me. The gorge is between Patras and Athens and I don't see them flying into Athens driving to the Gorge and driving back. Going thru Patras makes sense.
Sounds like a plan, rba5. Only thing, I can't see any ferries from Sicily to Patras on this web site:
http://www.aferry.to/ferry-to-italy-ferries.htmI'll keep looking, but don't see any direct ferries to Greece from Sicily. Keep up the spoiling.
Looks like you're right. As the previous poster speculated, I think ferries are in play here. As Scily and Greece have a lot of ferry connections.

I know that I'm going to be cheering for the nerds already!(My favorite TAR team so far, by the way, was Steve and Josh from TAR4).
Is the preview videoclip online anywhere?
LAST EDITED ON 12-14-05 AT 06:38 PM (EST)Can't read the Registration Number on the yellow helicopter (vidcap), so can't speculate on the country.
Found a front view of the same model chopper. Edited to add: Just identified the chopper as a Robinson R44 Raven. Robinson Helicopter Co. is based in Torrance, CA. Doesn't really help as they sell their products worldwide. Oh well, keep lookin'.
![]()
Update to Raven R44 vidcaps:
Was able to use my neighbors high definition TV to watch the TAR9 preview frame by frame, and was able to see the following (partial) Registration Number on the yellow chopper; ?T-Y?R (possibly PT-YGR)According to the Registration Number Database, Brazil aircraft have the "PT" prefix. Given we see the Nerds head-on in the preview, we can assume this is an early, if not first, leg. So according to other spoilers, the first destination is Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the vidcaps below we see the Nerds holding a clue envelope as they run from the chopper on the ground (which BTW is NOT yellow, but dark colored R44 with a white stripe). Given this, I'm guessing the helicopter pix are somewhere in Brazil. So there!

Just thinking on how Phil was explaining roadblocks in TAR:FE, how more than one person might have to do it, I want to hear him say this during a Moscow roadblock: "A roadblock is a task usually performed by one person, but in Soviet Russia, roadblock performs you."
This is pure speculation at this point...The monkeys seemed to be in a ruins of some kind, so I thought it might be that temple in Cambodia, but it's probably some site in Indonesia instead, if those dancers are definately Indonisian. (I thought they looked Thai, so that's why I was guessing Cambodia, which is closer than Indonesia).
Another place that has famous monkeys is Gibralter. But the setting might be a little too tropical. Gibralter is a bit more weedy and Mediterranean. The shot goes by really fast.
Didn't think of Gibraltar monkeys till you mentioned it, Peetah. Do you think they stop in Gibraltar traveling from S.A. to Sicily? Interesting...Here's a few pix to compare the monkey species on Gibraltar with the preview.

You all are on a roll over here , wanted to add that Slowhatch has found the Monkeys , heres a site link .Lopburi Monkey Temple~puddin~
The buildings/ruins in the background look like a very different style from the the Lopburi Temple to me.
If you look at the picture closes there is only 9 cars. 3 are taking off, 2 are in no sight, and there are 6 still sitting there.
So two teams are already in the lead, while 6 fall behind.
I guess we can assume that![]()

what is this out of sync spoiler for Ottawa?!
Is there anywhere online that I can download this video clip? We haven't had the TAR8 finale here yet in New Zealand. Could anyone post it online temporarily?
Welcome to the boards, OttawaFan!It was on the 5th of November when Melesse of TWoP spotted a man holding a yellow and black clue envelope on the corner of Rideau and Sussex. He was wearing a trenchcoat walking onto the road against the light, and did not have any backpacks.
The timing is what makes this sighting strange. The actual race started only on the 7th (based on several different spoilers), making it too early to be on the show itself, and too late to be a preparatory race.
Anything could happen, though. Do you know of any local races (like those in Vancouver) that are frequently being run in Ottawa?

sorry... but that's not indonesian mask...
and as the photo said, that is a thai mask...by the way, i am as an indonesian feel sorry with your "Wow, they dared to go there?"
Hi Bowwie! Thanks for the clarification!I am SO sorry my wording has offended.
Very bad way of putting my idea across! What I wanted to express was more along the lines of 'Oh wow! They didn't let one or two recent events blind them to the beauty and marvels of the nation! Good for them!'
I guarantee you, Indonesia was what got me the most excited in the previews. (Don't tell anyone, but I started jumping up and down on the couch when I saw the mask!) I know and love so much about the country that I immediately realised its great potential for several legs on TAR. I do acknowledge that Indonesia has not been treated very fairly in the Western press, and was really excited that TAR would come to show everyone how wonderful it truly is.
Once again, I am very sorry about my phrasing. Please forgive me.
If not this season, may TAR visit Indonesia soon! It's one of the countries (along with Israel and Spain) on my original wish list that's still not covered by TAR!
Sounds like a fun place to visit. Great Australian government
review ....http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/zw-cgi/view/Advice/Indonesia
In view of the fact that so many Australians were killed in the first Bali bombings, and several were killed in the second Bali bombings earlier this year, and the suicide truck bombing at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, and several Australians are in jail for drug trafficking in Bali, I think our Government is wise to advise Australians against going there or to take extra care if they must go.It may well be perfectly safe, but our Government would get crucified here if it didn't warn people not to go and there was another bombing which killed more Australians. There's a certain element in Australia that need the government to tell them what to do, what not to do, etc. etc., but there is also an element who, on the other hand, resent the government telling them what to do all the time. So the government is damned if it does warn and damned if it doesn't.
Anyway, Indonesia does look like a wonderful place, and like all countries, including Australia, it has a small number of people who like to ruin it for everyone else (riots at Sydney beachside suburbs a couple of weeks ago spring to mind). The beautiful side of Indonesia needs to be showcased to the world. And TAR is one way to do it so I hope they do go there sometime. There have been some tasks in TARs that show a side to a country/city that most people don't get to see, and these help to change people's perceptions, even if the racers bag the countries - yes Kendra, I'm talking about you - the legs in Senegal and Ethiopia in TAR6 opened my eyes about how beautiful those countries were.
hi Neobie...
it's okay, don't feel bad about that...yea... i really want to see that someday AR teams come to Indonesia
but the biggest dream that i have is... i wanna be one of the team!!! hahahahaha....

I read all that you guys post, as I'm Thai ... I could say that there's a high probability that mask is Thai mask even the Hanuman is the character from an Indian story ,Ramayana(I dunno how to call it in english) anyway. And from what I know about the Hanuman, it's a kinda monkey. So I think may be that photo which monkeys are in is the location in Thailand. I think I saw an old place behind those monkeys, so it could be the place in Lopburi province in Thailand because there are many many monkeys.
but it just my opinion ,i dunno. It may be right but I and my thai TAR fans here never heard any information about The Amzing Race9 coming to Thailand. I will check it out again to make sure that is kinda right.
PS. This is an old well-known place in Lopburi but it's not a temple what I'm talking about.
And the thread is rocks as well as TAR9!!
LAST EDITED ON 12-31-05 AT 12:57 PM (EST)1)I read all that you guys post, as I'm Thai ... I could say that there's a high probability that mask is Thai mask even the Hanuman is the character from an Indian story ,Ramayana(I dunno how to call it in english) anyway.
Ramayana is an epic from the Hindu (Indian) Mythology.
2) Anchorage is actually closer to Japan than Seattle and many flights to Asia.
I would not agree to this, the distance from Japan to Anchorage is around 6000 miles i.e via Taipei and Seattle to Anchorage is around 1500 miles which is a quarter of it. Also their are no direct flights to Anchorage from Tokyo or Osaka. The only way is to fly direct via Taipei on China Airlines i.e NRT/KIX-TPE-ANC with only 4 flights a week or flying daily by the route NRT/KIX-SEA/LAX-ANC.Their is no doubt the best way to enter Anchorage is via Seattle.
Just pitching these out there for comments and carrying on ...1. That photo of Mt Fuji has cherry blossums in the foreground, which means it was taken in April. Maybe it was just a pretty stock photo they used instead of something from the actual filming.
2. The route from Denver to Anchorage to Seattle would be really convuluted. Anchorage is actually closer to Japan than Seattle and many flights to Asia from the Lower 48 (and Europe, for that matter) stop in Anchorage or at least fly over it, so a shorter, more logical way to go would be Denver to Seattle to Anchorage and then on to Japan. Not that TAR wouldn't take a convuluted route. Does anyone have dates for the sightings in Seattle and Anchorage?
3. So far, I count 4 language with non-Roman alphabets the racers will have to contend with: Japanese, Russian, Greek and Thai. (I know English is the official language in Singapore, but if a lot of Chinese is also used there, then we should count Chinese as well.) As anyone knows who has travelled in a country that uses a different alphabet, it makes everything much more difficult, so that should be fun. I am really glad TAR 9 is shaping up to be challenging after the amazingly lame FE.
Phil was seen on 1 December on a flight from Japan to Seattle. The next day, a team was trying to get to Denver from the Anchorage airport.Sorry about the confusion about the cherry blossoms. That was a picture I grabbed off the internet to compare with the video footage. The video itself didn't really show much, just the snow-capped mountain.
And I agree totally about the fun of different languages! Although many people in Singapore have trouble grasping Chinese themselves, if racers visit, they might have to contend with Singlish... Probably just a transit point though.
Maybe Phil didn't have to go to Anchorage if the pit stop was in Denver. And the racers didn't have to go to Seattle.
My brother who works at a hotel in Anchorage said that the production crew for the Amazing Race stayed there Christmas. Maybe they were getting extra footage for the show.

Fans of "The Amazing Race" have done their best to forget this fall's underwhelming "Family Edition." Apparently CBS has too.
In announcing that the show will return to the airwaves at the end of February, the network makes no mention of the most recent installment, whose ratings lagged behind the two previous seasons. It does note, however, that the show "returns to its international format where teams of two will travel to exotic locations, spanning five continents."All that will happen starting Tuesday, Feb. 28, when "The Amazing Race" launches its ninth run with a two-hour premiere. The announcement Monday (Jan. 9) follows on the heels of the unveiling of the latest group of "Survivor" contestants. That show returns Thursday, Feb. 2.
"Survivor" will have to face two weeks of NBC's Winter Olympics coverage after it premieres, but "The Amazing Race" will have no such hurdles. Its debut is scheduled for two days after the closing ceremonies in Torino, Italy.
Additionally, CBS says it's keeping the new dramedy "Love Monkey" in the 10 p.m. Tuesday hour after its Jan. 17 premiere; the original plan was to move it to 9 p.m. Tuesdays the following week.In other scheduling news, UPN has bumped back the premiere date of its unscripted series "Get This Party Started." The show, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24, will now debut on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

I have it on good authority (I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you) that Rome, Italy is on the roster for TAR9.
When they reach Rome, there will be nine teams remaining. There will be a task (not sure if it's a detour or a roadblock) where the racers have to put together a disassembled faux-Roman statue.
~puddin~
"...I have it on good authority that Rome, Italy is on the roster for TAR9..."Rome makes sense. I was wondering how they were going to get from S.A. to Sicily. Fly into Rome, drive down to Naples, then possibly hop a ferry to Sicily. The real question may be how they get to Corinth after that.

Something I did to while away my weekend, here are Google Earth placemarks for all the TAR9 spoilers I know of.http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/User_files/43d227a42e6ca93a.zip
LAST EDITED ON 02-01-06 AT 01:01 AM (EST)OK, the teams have been revealed, so that leaves lots of time to waste, like trying to find the building location of the team photo. We know the starting line is Denver, so the photo location should be somewhere in downtown Denver.
I think I've identified the building labeled (A) as the Holiday Inn Denver Downtown (note the classic 1980's boxy hotel architecture). Entered the address into Google Earth and came up with this 3-D view:
The Holiday Inn Denver web site photo shows a neighboring building to be the Republic Plaza Building (tallest in Denver). That would put the rooftop location somewhere to the right of (D). ...hmmm....
![]()
LAST EDITED ON 02-01-06 AT 09:59 AM (EST)Given that Phil was seen with production in the lobby of Adams Mark Hotel, I'm seriously inclined to think that this is the starting line sequester and that that's where the rooftop belongs.
The mystery building, labelled E, is the Xcel Energy Technical Service Building. This shows the south corner, which means that the side facing the right (the side we see on the CBS photo) actually faces southeast, the direction of Adams Mark Hotel.
Looking to the left of the CBS photo, we see the freeway separating the brown buildings (to the northwest) and the sloping roof of the Colorado Convention Center (to the southeast). These are reflected in the map below.
Anything else we can gleam from the photo?
Yep, I believe you got it! Good job. (Don't know how I missed the Xcel building on the Emporis web site.)OK, can't wait for the "flash" intro pix from the opening sequence of the show, so we can spoil some more locations. Till then I will return to "stealth mode".
![]()
As a denver resident, I can confirm this location for you. That "Freeway" is not a freeway, rather it is Spear Boulevard. The "Brown Buildiing" is the Auroria Campus.
And judging from what shadows We can see, it is about 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon. And given the amount of rain water and and the steam behind them , the picture was taken in late fall, which makes it a cold day for those tank tops!
This starting point should hopefully give Fran & Barry a head start, but let's not forget the how poorly the team from New Orleans did in their own back yard.
Nicely done TARJUNKIE999 @ Neobie !!![]()

Oman is the site "around the Middle East" that the teams go to in the Amazing Race 9.
LAST EDITED ON 02-02-06 AT 04:42 AM (EST)Oman is definitely cool.

LAST EDITED ON 02-03-06 AT 07:43 AM (EST)The clip with Desiree running shows the Santa Ifigenia in Sao Paulo, the same bridge as the one Lisa and Joni are on.
And regarding the airport hangar, from here:
The AEROMOT GROUP is formed by 2 companies, with common top planning and finances management but independent technical and administrative areas, all located in Porto Alegre, South of Brazil, inside or in the neighborhood of Salgado Filho International Airport, and with a hangar and branch office in Campo de Marte, São Paulo.
Marte being the airport identified in the previous vidcaps.

LAST EDITED ON 02-04-06 AT 04:08 AM (EST)From Wikipedia, something that can explain the use of helicopters in São Paulo...
"São Paulo has the highest per capita helicopter ownership in the developing world and now rivals Tokyo and New York as the world's leading helicopter user."
Having lots of trouble finding the helipad using Google Earth. The Washington Post says that São Paulo has 240 helipads! So far I've found 49, mostly concentrated to the south of the Viaduto Santa Ifigenia, almost in a straight line towards the bend in the Pinheiros River.
Found a photo of the Marte hangar. Looks like this is where they board the helicopter to the building in question.
It seems like the teams are running southeast on the Viaduto. What for?
A few more , please browse my photobucket, its not very organized.

LAST EDITED ON 02-11-06 AT 09:41 PM (EST)Weecama's first vidcap in Post #56 shows the Continental Square Faria Lima Office and the Caesar Business Hotel to its left. Things I found that match are the black windows (jutting out) framed by a white block, the triangular annex (on the left in the cap, on the right in the photo) and the teeny circular helipad on top.
Here's what I got from Google Earth (the area is southwest of the city centre, very near the river. The problem now? To be able to see, in the vidcap, the white tower between Continental Square and Caesar Business Hotel, one must have to be on the same side of the two buildings as in the photo. However, the pattern on Caesar Business Hotel has been flipped horizontally. What does this mean? *tears hair off head*
You can't see between the two buildings if you're on D, and there are no other helipads south of D in the surrounding vicinity. Can we assume that CBS flipped the image and the helipad is actually A, B or C?
Good job. I think you can see a tiny bit of Building (D) in the photo below. Might be easy to identify on Emporis as it appears to be a dark colored "V" shaped building (shorter than the hotel) with a big overhanging helipad.
I'd look for it myself, but I'm too busy watching the Olympics (he-he)

~puddin~
Nonono. It's too close a match to be wrong. I'm just wondering about how the colour quality changed so much. Did they repaint the helipad? It's almost confirmed that it's the Sao Luis building. You can see the basketball courts to the right and the lower red building just behind the block. Everything matches. The colour's the only thing that's weird, but that can't negate all the other evidence.
LAST EDITED ON 02-08-06 AT 12:17 PM (EST)Agree Neobie, the points of similarity are too compelling. (wow, a NCIS flashback moment!) Don't second guess yourself too much, puddin. It's a long season and we haven't even started yet. LOL Lot's more spoiling to go, so don't get bogged down in the minutia. Now, about that second helipad.... *groan*

Is that the Parthenon (night scene) or the Sicily one? It's not empty like the Sicily one for sure.
Trolleys and trams. Hmm, Portugal? San Francisco?
LAST EDITED ON 02-18-06 AT 00:11 AM (EST)..."Trolleys and trams. Hmm, Portugal? San Francisco?"...
That's a Cable Car that Tyler & BJ are riding in San Francisco. It's obviously a pre-race intro scene. Tyler lives in S.F., but BJ is from Los Angeles. Go figure.
Edited to add: It's the Parthenon.
LAST EDITED ON 02-18-06 AT 00:07 AM (EST)Good work on the vidcaps, Puddin. OK, you made me take a break from the Olympics to do this one post.
One thing struck me as unusual was the "confessional" from the Sisters (Lisa and Joni). I believe Lisa is saying, "...this race is so much harder than I thought it would be...". Now I'm sure that in every first episode, there is a major bunching point. That's where the racers camp out before continuing on to the first elimination pitstop the next day. That's why we see the Sisters in their racing outfits, giving their impressions of the race so far. What interests me is where they are sitting. It's obviously a (single tier) stadium with colored seats (and no roof). And we all know how the TARFE producers do love to hide racers in stadiums...OMG, did I say TARFE?...UGH!
So, to get the "stupid wild ass guesses" rolling, I think they are sitting in the first bunching point in the race, which may be Estadio do Pacaembu, right in the middle of Sao Paulo. So there.
Now I can go back to watching the Olympics. (Boy, that curling stuff sure is exciting!)

Press realease~The Amazing Race 9 Two Hour Premiere February 28th 2/21/06
Three-Time Emmy Award Winner "The Amazing Race" Returns to Its International Format Where Teams of Two Will Travel to Exotic Locations, Spanning Five Continents, With a Two-Hour Premiere, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 9:00-11:00 PM ET/PT
"The Amazing Race 9" Moves To Its New Tuesday, 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT Time Period Beginning March 7
"Here We Go, Baby, Off To Win A Million Dollars" -- The three-time Emmy Award-winning reality adventure series returns to its international format where teams of two will travel to exotic locations, spanning five continents, with stops in the Middle East, Moscow and Sicily, to name a few. The 11 teams, including a Pizza Hut manager, a dentist, a science teacher, a children's minister, a retired physician and a valet, will compete against one another in a race around the world for a $1 million prize. THE AMAZING RACE 9 will begin with a special two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 28 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Starting Tuesday March 7, the Amazing Race will move to its new timeslot from 10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT. Phil Keoghan is host of the series.
The race begins in Denver, Colorado when teams quickly jet off to their first location, Sao Paulo, Brazil where, upon landing, they must venture deep into the heart of the city to find their next clue at the Hotel Unique. Almost immediately, teams make their way by foot to Viaduto Santa Ifigenia, a pedestrian footbridge overlooking the highway and the Vale do Anhangabuau. One team struggles to locate the clue box, while other teams seem to find it with ease.
At the bridge, teams are faced with their first detour and must choose between finding a local motorcycle shop, where they will have to assemble a motorcycle from scratch, or soar high above the city of San Paolo in a helicopter in order to locate a specific building where they will find their next clue.

Day One 6:30 am: There's always this great feeling before the race begins, the calm before the storm. As the teams arrive at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver, you can't imagine that in an hour and a half this wild animal will be let out of its cage. I like to walk along the line of the teams' bags to see who has planned ahead and who is unrealistic about what they're going to haul around for the next month. While some teams have decided they're on a luxury trip, husband-and-wife team Lake and Michelle Garner have packed light.
11 am: Teams start arriving at Denver International Airport and have to get on one of three flights to Brazil. I put on a hat and sit in the corner to hear what the teams say, since it's the first time they're allowed to talk to each other. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly they give each other nicknames. Instantly, the teams decide best friends B.J. Averell and Tyler MacNiven are "The Hippies," since they are very hairy guys. Then B.J. and Tyler spot another team, Danielle Torchio and Danielle Turner. It's fair to say the two Danielles are shapely, and Tyler decides they're "The Double-Ds".
Day Two 9:30 am: We've made it to the Sao Paulo Airport in Brazil and things are already going wrong. The flight that was meant to land first is delayed. And some teams haven't realized the language in Brazil is Portuguese, not Spanish.
1 pm: There are 2 popular ways of getting around in Sao Paulo - motorbikes or helicopters - so the race's first detour is a choice we've decided to call "Motorhead vs. Rotorhead." They have to either assemble a motorcycle from scratch or take a helicopter over the city and look for a specific roof to land on to claim their clue. There's quite a scene at the shop where they're putting the bikes together. One team has decided to assemble theirs in the street, and the locals are excited about one female team member, Yolanda Brown Moore, who has the most amazing legs on the race.
4 pm: Many of the teams have finished the challenge and have arrived at a warehouse to watch an indigenous cultural ceremony. The teams are required to take part by lighting a candle and handing it to one of the locals to receive their next clue. Some become visibly affected.
5 pm: Finally, everyone starts showing up at the first pit stop. Something I often hear from teams at the first mat chat is that the Race is nothing like they expected. Everyone thinks it looks so easy on TV, but are shocked at how dificult it really is. And this is just the beginning. There's more than 50,000 miles to the finish line, and cameras will be rolling every step of the way.

Saving 'Race'
Why ''The Amazing Race'' should go on -- Lynette Rice lists five reasons the CBS reality show shouldn't be laid to rest just yet by Lynette Rice
No sense sugarcoating matters: The Amazing Race: Family Edition was a big-time suckfest! As much as we've always loved the Race, we're not quite ready to forgive and forget, so we insisted that executive producer Bertram van Munster and host Phil Keoghan give us five good reasons to tune in again when CBS' Amazing Race 9 debuts on Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. Ready, set, go!1 NO MORE ANNOYING KIDS! The biggest problem with Family Edition was the sheer number of people on the screen. Of course, now van Munster admits that telling a story about 40 family members in 43 minutes probably wasn't the best idea (ya think?). ''Would we do that again? Probably not,'' he says. ''It looked better on paper.'' (No, it didn't.) ''People prefer a format with fewer faces and more places,'' adds Keoghan. ''This show is best when it allows ordinary people to go to extraordinary places, and when it allows the viewing public to live vicariously through the teams.'' Which means the next installment will have...
2 DYNAMIC DUOS! Rageaholic Jonathan and his masochistic wife Victoria from season 6 set the standard for scary intensity, but Keoghan hints AR9's uptight dentist Lake (teamed with his dental assistant/wife Michelle) might not be too far behind. There are also two 60-something jet-setters named Fran and Barry, and a couple of gut-busting, book-smart hippies named BJ and Tyler, who apparently love ''good times.'' (We're high on that!)
3 PHIL HAS A CRUSH! The normally stoic Keoghan has a special place in his heart for one pair, former track star Yolanda and attorney Ray. Actually, it's more like he has a special place in his heart for Yolanda's legs. ''The best...ever,'' swoons Keoghan. ''I mean, they're powerhouses. Toned, athletically pleasing. It's like, she comes to the Pit Stop in slo-mo, it's so distracting, it's...'' Okay, okay, Phil...we get it.
4 NEW, EXOTIC LOCALES! This edition makes first-ever stops in Moscow, Sicily, and Oman, which is ''one of the cleanest places in the world — like Singapore,'' says Keoghan. ''All anybody hears about the Middle East is negative. This proves to be a real eye-opener.''
5 MORE AGITA-INDUCING CHALLENGES! Not only will the teams have to cover more miles in fewer days (''Trust me, it gets really hard on the contestants,'' promises van Munster), they'll have to partake in some just plain cruel challenges: A roadblock in Brazil will require them to rappel down a 500-foot building, while in Russia, they'll have to jump off a 10-meter high dive in the dead of winter to retrieve a clue at the bottom of a pool. Of course, that's nothing compared with the challenge in Brazil where they'll have to turn sugarcane into fuel to operate their automobiles. Exclaims van Munster: ''Viewers will want to turn the TV off because they won't be able to take the tension anymore!'' Turning off TVs

Thanks again, puddin, for the race info. Sounds like we are getting some spoilers for future legs. Might I suggest we start a seperate spoiler thread for any new episodes, as this one is getting a bit long. 3 days to go! Cool!
