Episode 1: The Amount

I think this episode's clue has already been revealed in another forum - but here were the clues that I used to come up with it:

a) Rules at official website indicate that prize is over $1,000,000
b) When Jim exits his apartment the number outside is $1,045
c) In the last part of the show Regis Philbin says you are 15 questions away from $1, 045, 0000 (an odd millionaire amount)
d) From the ABC site, a pop-up window led me to another site where I downloaded the fax received by Jim from Silas - in the very first section of the fax there is an accounting error with $1, 045, 000 missing or unaccounted for
e)And the confirmation of this comes from the website www.dvmf.com (listed in opening credits of show) that says the amount is $1,045,000

Hopefully the clues will continue to be straightforward as I am hooked on the show already - even though I can't win because I am Canadian. I'd be more ticked off if I lived in Alaska or Hawaii - why are those states always excluded from contests?

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! Ohhhhhh we Canadians can watch this show on an American network that is fed live onto Canadian cable and satellites, but we can't win the money. I am mad as heck.....believe me....this will not be the last time you hear me vent on this subject!!!!!

Hey, don't worry! All you need is an American "friend" with a US mailing address who'd settle for x%, or there's always Mailboxes Etc.
I'm in Canada too. Trust me if I thought I could win I'd find a way!

Hmmm... maybe I could get my "friend" to buy chips at the Versailles Casino in Push NV and I could cash them.....
