"Big Brother 12 Live Feeds Week 8: Speed-up Fallout HoH to Final 4"
Posted by vince3 on 08-26-10 at 06:00 PM
With the end of tonight's episode, there will be 5 peeps left in the cage. Whatever the HoH will be, it will start on the live episode, but the winner won't be determined until sometime later tonight. If you want, we can try to follow along the HoH's progress as we chat at http://www.myinfochat.com/ in either the Government or Recreation & Sports room...
Also, due to the timing, this HAS to be the week for the yearly Morphomatic POV competition, which is always held at night... which means that it will be probably early Saturday morning after 3am...
Provided that he's still in the cage, Brendon is automatically a Have Not, unless he's HoH, which should give him a temporary reprieve from that...

If he was such a Genius, why would he try and sell out his one and only actual friend in the house? Oh, that's right...by stupidly thinking he's still a part of the Brigade.

"Ragan: stem cell pioneer."

In a single night, he grew a brain, a spine, and a full set of genitalia ---- about three weeks too late.
*checks clock* Was that the longest first segment in the history of the series? I think we may be down one commercial break. Maybe Matt can donate one of his breaks with reality to fill in the gap. It takes up the entire interior of his skull: surely it can occupy two minutes...
No goodbye messages. Too bad: I was looking forward to Brendon's ultimate rebuttal.

Brendon a very close second. Enzo and Lane going nowhere.
Good, fast, cheap. Pick two.

"Nominees: Brendon & Ragan."
Posted by Estee on 08-26-10 at 08:34 PM
Brendon shown talking with the remaining Meows: he thinks Ragan is the target. Brendon may be in for a nasty surprise in a few minutes.Brief snippet of conservation between Hayden & Britney: Hayden found both names at the same time, then tried to hustle his trips. Pure dumb luck challenge -- the question was too simple for anyone to get wrong, and then it was all about where your cards had sunk to in the peanut pile.

A house event knowledge quiz. Sure, no way that was intended to save a particular target... Brendon invoked fish after going out on a question involving Rachel. He's going to be invoking a whole lot more than that in about five minutes.
Britney will be the replacement nominee. Britney should have no worries whatsoever.

Replacement nominee: Britney. The results from here should be 99.9% predictable. Britney's a challenge threat, but so is Brendon -- and the Brigade, which needs to cut down on other alphas, controls this vote.
"RE: Ragan saves himself."

I'd so much rather have Brendon in that house instead of Ragan. Ragan following Matt out the door would have been poetic.

"Matt's secrets start to come out."
Posted by Estee on 08-26-10 at 09:47 PM
Ragan's revealing all that he knows -- Matt's 33, not 30. He's the fan, not his wife. Matt was a finalist for last season...Enzo asks if Matt was lying about his wife. Ragan tells them all no, that one's true. (Oh, that's gonna sting.)
They are now convincing themselves that Matt was Stabo. It's not taking much.
And why this instead of a competition update? Because there is no competition. They're all on indoor lockdown, presumably so the rats can clean up the backyard and set up something that isn't isolation booths. Enzo's waiting for either the HoH match or 9 p.m. PDT -- the time when his Have-Not status expires. (Of course, with his luck, HoH will be at eight and end with the winner instantly assigning HNs.)
"BBAD has started"
Posted by vince3 on 08-27-10 at 00:16 AM
and even though the feeds have been off for an hour or so, Showtime's BBAD is revealing some stuff...Hayden got his HoH basket for his win on the live show which lead to Brendon's eviction...
Also, the HoH competition was the skee-ball catapault that they got a practice device for last night. By most reports, it appears that Lane ended up winning the HoH.

I forgot to record BBAD. I was glad to find out Lane won HOH. Talk about putting himself in a good position. *mind wanders* This may be an unpopular opinion but I would love to see a Hayden/Lane F2. If they keep winning from here on out, I'll be a happy girl. The only thing that could ruin this for me is Ragan winning POV.

Boy, is this ever going to be an inspiring week for HoH strategy. 'If they plot against me, I'm gonna beat 'em up. If they try to win and use the Veto, I'm gonna beat 'em up. If I decide to get rid of Ragan, I'm gonna beat him up. And if I toss Britney, I'm gonna wait until the door opens, jump out, and beat up her boyfriend.'

Posted by samboohoo on 08-27-10 at 10:26 AM
Any speculation/clue on why Lane was trying to get Brit to sleep in the HOH with him? Was it to keep her from Ragan? Was it for strategizing? Affection?Where does Lane stand in the Brigade now? I would say he's Number 3 unless Hayden is truly loyal to Lane over Enzo, which I haven't seen.

"RE: Britney/Lane"
Posted by Wacko Jacko on 08-27-10 at 11:26 AM
It's doesn't matter if Lane is #3 in the Brigade. What is he going to do go over and be #3 with Ragan and Britney? The point of this game is to get to the final three. You saw what happened with Jordan last year. Lane should be able to beat Enzo in comps. It should be a no brainer that Lane puts up Ragan and Britney. Don't get fancy. Plus what happens if Britney wins POV...then one brigade is also out and he becomes in jeoprady next week.
"Ruining a Great Position"
Posted by michel on 08-27-10 at 12:00 PM
Lane wasn't going home no matter who won HOH so why even try to win it? Pride? It assures the Brigade's safety but it does nothing for his game except maybe cost him a jury vote or two. He does have to nominate Britney unless he's certain she won't save Ragan. But then, that would be asking Enzo or Hayden to be a pawn. It gets worse: If Ragan saves himself, Lane will have to make the deciding vote between Britney and a fellow brigadier.
On the other hand, I guess he could sweet talk her into voting for him in the end anyway and he does need to have something on his resumé to make a case in front of the jury. Bench pressing everything in the house isn't enough.

"RE: Ruining a Great Position"
Posted by arkiegrl on 08-27-10 at 02:04 PM
One scenario that runs through my mind is what if he didn't win any HOH and he and Hayden are final two? Hayden could argue that Lane only rode Hayden's coat tails through the whole competition, couldn't he?
"RE: Ruining a Great Position"
Posted by michel on 08-27-10 at 04:05 PM
Yes, that's why I wrote he wanted something to put on his resumé but he still has time to win when he will need to win. Plus, there's always Enzo if Lane is worried about challenge performance. If it was me, I wouldn't worry about the "riding coattails" accusation. There's more to it than benefitting from someone's challenge wins. Hayden rode Lane's coattails when the beast convinced Britney to put up Matt instead of Hayden. That was the key move of the season and it was all due to Lane's influence on Brit. Hayden certainly didn't help himself by piling up prizes. The jury should know by then who is going to Hawaii with 5 grand in pocket.

And Lane, being A Man Without Impulse Control, opened it. It sounds like he got a choice of three rewards (or possibly all three), plus three punishments that would be released on the house. The reward he's claiming is that he got to do some harvesting from a money tree: no details beyond that. (Presumably it was carrying a little more than Matt's dollar.) Punishment #1 has already materialized -- or dematerialized: all eating utensils and drinking cups have vanished.
Jessie probably ate them.

Posted by Estee on 08-27-10 at 09:46 PM
Ragan & Enzo. For the absolutely nothing that it's worth, the Meows nightmare scenario -- Britney wins Veto and takes Ragan off -- is now active.
"RE: Nominations in."

and if that happens, they've got nobody to blame but themselves...
"RE: Nominations in."
Posted by Estee on 08-27-10 at 10:35 PM
Absolute control would have been nominating Britney & Ragan. That way, the Meows were absolutely preserved for another week: even if one of the nominees used the Veto, Lane just had to tiebreak the vote in the alliance's favor. Now they can potentially wind up in a position where they're completely helpless: Enzo & Hayden on the block, Britney & Ragan as the voting pool.Hayden thinks the situation is currently working out 'picture-perfect'. Hayden hasn't thought this through.
Then again, Britney's shown about zero in the alliance-spotting/destruction department... she just might win the veto, then not use it to show her total support for Lane.
And you thought a working definition of torture was having your last, best hope be Jordan's IQ? The current chance to shake up this season rely's on Britney's insight. And to date, she hasn't had any.
"RE: Nominations in."
Posted by vince3 on 08-28-10 at 00:28 AM
Maybe, but the non-Brigader on the block has seen the light and does have Britney's ear...As for Hayden... has he been playing attention this season? The theme hasn't been the Stabos, it's been "So much for that plan..."
"Lane's Best Move"
Posted by michel on 08-28-10 at 02:24 AM
It's the Brigade's nightmare but not Lane's. If Britney wins POV and saves Ragan, Lane gets to break up the Hayden/Enzo pair with no blood on his hands and he keeps Britney's vote in the end. If noms stay the same, he still keeps Brit's vote in the end. The worst thing to happen would be for Ragan to save himself but there was nothing Lane could do about that.
"RE: Nominations in."
Posted by Round Robin on 08-28-10 at 02:29 AM
Why the blazes did Lane nom Ragan & Enzo? On the surface of it this makes no effing sense. Does he know something we don't?
"RE: Nominations in."

It's pretty much the 4 players that were most liked inside the house, the best social players. None made real enemies, all were able to work with everyone else.
"RE: POV"
Posted by Round Robin on 08-29-10 at 00:41 AM
This is what I'm sure we all knew would happen if the rest of the house didn't wise up to the existence of the Brigade fast enough. If you let a big alliance like that become the majority, you can only beat them by winning ALL the competitions. As soon as they start winning, the big alliance takes over, and that is what has happened here. Brit now has to win EVERY comp she's in the rest of the game, or down the dumper she goes, and we'll have an all-Brigade final. Kiss your ratings goodbye, Grodner!
"RE: POV"
Posted by LFJ on 08-29-10 at 05:04 AM
I don't know. Having Ragan out of the house will be a relief. And watching the Bros eat themselves alive might be amusing. I am sure they will do it with many man hugs, chest bumps and back slapping. Anything beats "The Smirk".
"RE: POV"
Posted by BrassFan on 08-30-10 at 02:32 PM
Just a thought...I assume that Britney goes up against Ragan, since Lane said he wouldn't put Hayden up....
So, with Lane being so tight with Britney...is there a chance that Hayden and Enzo will send her out the door instead of Ragan?
It would be smarter, since that breaks up the Britney/Lane pair..and Britney is a stronger competitor than Ragan, having won HOH and a few POVs.

Your sigpic was honored last night -- one of the Pandora's punishments was that everyone had to talk with sock puppets for several hours or be put on Have-Not status. Hamsterwatch has pictures of each hamster's puppet. Now if they did an episode of Just The Tip with them...

For those wondering why Lane won the HoH competition, we now know why he had to win it: It was either that, or Ragan would be HoH and target the Brigade...Elimination format, and Lane really wanted to throw it to Enzo so he would be the one with blood on his hands nominating both Britney and Ragan... but Enzo bombed out in 3rd place...

What's so funny to me is that Enzo has been a "floater" all this time, riding the Brigades coattails to the end. He finally pulled one out apparently, but still, it will tick me off if he's final two. He has done NOTHING to secure his current position in the house. Ragan deserves to stay more than he does. I was thrilled when Lane put Enzo up instead of Brit. He totally did the right thing. Enzo needed to prove himself, since Brit already had four times.

IIRC, Enzo was the one who formed the "Brigade". IF that is the case, He has been instrumental in keeping them all alive in the game. Lane and Hayden haven't exactly been dazzling in their performances. Lane may have made a teeny miscalculation by using Enzo to deflect Britney's anger. We will see. Enzo hasn't made a single enemy in the house - nor has he been directly responsible for anyone's eviction (that I can remember). Personally, I can't wait to see Ra-a-a-agan *snuffling* out of the house. His angst is getting to me. He needs a mood elevator.

By being friendly with everyone, Lane had played a perfect game up to the point where he revealed he was loaded. Enzo's game is pretty good also. Britney? Not so much but she was wise to seek their protection.

Thanks Tribe!

Enzo took himself off... but then things might've gotten interesting...
Hayden is the replacement nominee.

Well -- the voting pool is currently Britney & Enzo. If the Brigade is staying internally loyal (until they get the chance to scream at Lane next week), then Britney probably votes Hayden, Enzo votes Ragan, and Lane tiebreaks to get Ragan out of the house. Small amount of completely pointless non-suspense as Lane anti-struggles to make his decision, then move on to Hyper-Veto Week.On the other hand, if the hamsters are starting to think jury votes/F2 pairings and decide Hayden hasn't offended enough people, then...
Numerically, it doesn't make a lot of sense if you're trying to keep control of the cage: two out of three players for the next HoH makes a lot more sense than just having one. But the temporarily interesting bit: Enzo just openly told Hayden that neither he or Lane would take Hayden to F2. Sure, inspire that fear -- what's Hayden going to do about it? Win the next HoH? Nominate both Enzo & Lane as thanks for their betrayal? Gosh, like that could ever happen...
They can't dump him yet -- and Enzo just may have guaranteed that they have to.
Idiots.
Minor news: Lane has a relative who was on The Hills (dated Heidi) and Ragan swears his Thursday speech will be controversial. Good luck with getting people to understand you through the sobs.

I thought we were done with evil diabolocal genius plans. Or have they been repalced with the not so genius "Keep the cute chick" strategy?I think Lane might actually sense that he needs to keep Britney to have any chance of being there at F2, and that Enzo and Hayden may be tighter with each other than he is with either.
"Question"
Posted by michel on 08-30-10 at 05:40 PM
Is it this week or only next that the current HOH gets to play in the following competition? Not that it matters much because at F4 the HOH is really only immunity, the POV having all the power.
"RE: Question"

Next week -- F4 to F3. So keep Hayden and you're basically daring him to go on a winning streak: lose him and there's a good chance Lane gets to sit next to Britney or Ragan at F2 -- which may be his dream scenario, but I think Britney has a chance to win her matchup (anti-Lane votes plus Kathy, Brendon's competitor respect, and potentially a clueless Rachel). Lane: hazard to himself or secret Real Genius? It probably isn't both.
"RE: Question"

The only HOH where everyone gets to play is F3. F4 HOH is a great one to win, puts you into F3 for sure. Although it's true that you don't get to vote, so really have no influence on who goes out. F5 HOH is a dicey position, because your only shot at mastering your own fate at F4 is the POV. The other three players have two comps to possibly win themselves immunity.
Honestly, at that point of the game when you can't trust anyone, I would take guaranteed immunity over power. Also the F4 HOH has no blood on his/her hands; it's the F4 POV winner who kills someone's dream.

Thank you both.Estee, I think Lane's only motive is to keep Brit's vote if he winds up against Enzo and Hayden. I still believe Ragan's his target.
Speaking of jury vote, how dumb was Brit to tell Hayden that she would vote for him over Lane? Now Hayden has a reason to put her on the jury. At this point, the threat of costing Hayden a vote is more important than building friendship so the only possible answer was: "I don't know who I will vote for but if one of you screw me over...Anyway, you'd be dumb to vote me out because you win against me."

LAST EDITED ON 08-30-10 AT 04:57 PM (EST)No wonder Lane's father keeps him off the oil rig. He's a natural disaster waiting to happen. Here, I thought it was his brawn that made Enzo refer to Lane as a tree trunk. Or was that in "As dumb as a..."?

Maybe on way to penalty nom or something??Hamsterwatch had the flashback to the times he broke things that got him in trouble.
Not sure what is going on as I don't have the feeds, but sounds like Hayden may be cracking up a bit.

Maybe that's why Hayden was the replacement nominee today: In case the penalty nom came up... If he put up Britney and then Hayden screwed up and did something to deserve it, then Enzo would be the only person eligible to vote... and who knows what could happen then...

One thing Lane is doing is making Hayden and Enzo even more united. If you were Hayden would you take Enzo or LAne to the final three with you? It's ano brainer for Hayden. If you are Enzo, maybe you just think that Lane has become Matt the second. We'll see how this all comes down on Lane...hopefully.

Sounds to me like Britney just won the game. Ragan is out the door for sure this week, Britney is going to win the next HOH because the 3 dummies are lucky to have won anything. Then she gets to compete again in the Final HOH, which she will beat out any of those guys in both endurance and quiz. Thats the way I see it playing out now.

Last nite, on BBAD, at about 1:00am, Ragan was trying to explain to Britney why she should help him stay in the cage. She acknowleges she is in a must win every comp situation. Ragan was making his arguments repeatedly, to the point that he started getting confused, and making absolutely no sense. He smells the Chenbot interview on the horizon for him.Britney was much more accepting of her position than Ragan. and expressed the most "fear" of Enzo. An Enzo/Hayden alliance would put her out of the house.
Meanwhile, the remaining Brigade members were in the BY working out. There was no sign of any "penalty" for Hayden. I did get the impression that Lane was sort of hanging around, waiting for one of the other guys to stop working out so that he could start a "six game pool tournament". It felt a little like they were ignoring him. Then Enzo was called to the DR.

After reading yesterday's feed sum on Morty's, apparently they told Hayden they'd give him a penalty vote if he broke anything else.

I think the Brigade's difficulty in winning competitions might be partly due to bad luck, but also partly due to strategy. Remember, they're in an alliance -- an alliance of three and before Matt left, an alliance of four. And since they had a tight alliance for a long time, they didn't need to win too many challenges. But now they'll need to -- and I don't know if luck will be on their side.

Here's my .02, in their typical hamster fashion the thought has been expressed by Hayden that Lane, being a oil empire silver spooner, doesn't "need" the money and that may nudge Enzo and Hayden towards wanting Lane as a F2.
