"Big Brother 12 ECST Week 6: Goodbye Vegas, Hello Jury House"

Sunday's episode will be delayed at least 1 hour, due to a 3 2-man playoff in the PGA Championship (Last Chance For Glory) Approaching the appointed time, they're on the 3rd playoff hole of teh aggregate scoring portion, and they're tied. If they remain tied, they go to sudden death.

As for BB... Rachel got broomed and swept straight to the Jury House... or did she? Julie teased that she may see the cage again soon.

In other news: They ended last week with the HoH still in progress. It was a challenge influenced by Survivor somewhat: They had to follow a rope course through a cargo net with a mud/hay field underneath, and weather/feathers coming down on them...

Also, Ragan's reign as the Stabo will end on Thursday, regardless of whether he stays or goes. That does matter, however, in whether he gets awarded the money for it...

Also ending this week is the expiration date of Matt's Diamond POV from last week's Pandora's Box. Just before the eviction vote, if there is someone on the block he wants to save, he uses it and then picks the replacement... Brendon is safe from getting hit with it, but is the POV winner? That is unknown for now.

I love living in Central time.
Still golf here, awards and after stuff.
Looks like at least an hour and a half late if they show 60 Minutes ( and don't they always?)

I thought nothing can mess with the sacred 60 minutes and all it's ads.

Depends on whose are bigger. Grodner's or Fager's.

The Sabo twist has been a complete yawn for me. What has it done to change the game except to give these guys something to speculate about?

I think the Veto winner will be safe from the block, same as HOH. Otherwise they would have to run the comp saying, "the winner MAY be safe from eviction." They can't say you are playing for safety and then say oh not really.

The Diamond Veto thing was presented as something that Matt may choose to keep on the QT, something no one would ever know about if he doesn't use it. If they run a Veto where you MAY be safe, that tells players someone has a power, at which point Matt will be under suspicion even if he doesn't use it.

Typically they lay out the terms reasonably clearly at the time they make the offer.

We get some confessionals as we see the beginning of the HoH competition, including Matt basically saying, "Now, Brigade, how about winning an HoH comp without me in it?"

Everyone scattered as Brendon changed into his HoH clothing...

The first half of the course is pure mud, the second half is hay city... Enzo didn't want to really deal with it, since he wanted to be clean... Kathy wasn't doing any better... Ragan is confused by all of the knots...

Brendon continuing to pump himself up, but dedicating this to Rachel... and he's got a huge lead.

Enzo/Hayden are trying to direct Brendon toward Britney/Ragan to eliminate the side alliances of Lane/Matt... and propose a side alliance with him...

Kathy?

Enzo and Kathy get pitiful music as they're locked in a battle... for dead last...

Both Britney and Ragan aren't that much ahead of them either... and they're an emotional mess...

Lane is trying to take advantage of a Brendon stumble around the 3/4 point of the course, and getting silently cheered on by Britney...

As soon as Brendon wins the HoH, he declares Britney, Ragan, and Matt are the Have Nots.

The Brigade now have some regrets about voting Rachel out instead of Brendon... especially after he says that she probably wouldn't have won this one...

Britney/Ragan are having meltdowns... especially Britney.

"RE: Big Brother 12 ECST Week 6: Goodbye Vegas, Hello Jury House"
Posted by vince3 on 08-15-10 at 09:50 PM
Brendon: Who wants to see my HoH room?

Britney, whispering: Not really anybody...

Briteny is also sick of the way Enzo/Kathy are svcking up to Brendon up in HoH.... especially since they're probably extremely safe this week...

We get a summary of Britney/Lane's relationship, which is much like brother/sister and alliance in one...

Then we get a meeting of Hayden/Enzo trying to figure out which Brigade side alliance member up: Britney or Ragan...

Enzo gets a notice that the nominations are probably gonna be Lane/Britney... and he tries to direct it towards Britney/Ragan... and he is saying it's more toward Britney, as he continues her mission to eliminate 'Floaters'...

Ghost in the house? Nah...

Secret alliance to be exposed when the time is right? hehehehehe!

Stabo: I'm still here! Besides, you still haven't eliminated the 'lifelong friends' yet... Hint: It's a male-female alliance...

Both remaining girls are swearing that they didn't know anyone prior...

Eggplants and Escargots (snails) along with the medium table.

All 3 of them are disgusted by the snails, at bare minimum...

"Nomination Ceremony"
Posted by vince3 on 08-15-10 at 10:21 PM
We get some scenes of Britney and Ragan trying to talk themselves off of the block, including the re-done version of his talk with Britney... (He told her point blank that she was going up, originally...)

Best for me? or Revenge? what will I choose for these nominations?

Key Reveal:

Enzo
Kathy
Hayden
Britney (who's shocked, somewhat)
Matt (who's slightly confused in appearance)

Ragan/Lane are your nominees.

"Nominations Fallout"

Lane: WTF am I doing nominated?

Brendon: Lane's a pawn...

Ragan: *sniff*

Britney: I have the feeling that I might get the backdoor...

Nearly dead hamsters waiting for the POV,

Only to be zinged by the Zingbot???

"Veto Competition"

LAST EDITED ON 08-18-10 AT 09:33 PM (EST)

Brendon picks Enzo
Ragan picks Kathy
Lane picks Houseguest's Choice and selects Hayden.

BB will inform them when it begins again... No mention of Britney supposed to be hosting...

*tick-tock*...

Enter the Zingbot 3000 to host the POV Competition...

Lane: Everything is big in Texas, except your frame...(brain?)

In this Veto Competition, they must assemble 4 puzzles to say VETO. However, if they fall off the balance beam or rotating platform.... they're eliminated... The 4 sets of puzzles are suspended in baskets on the opposite side of the balance beam...

"Zingbot Zings"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 08:16 PM
Meow Meow: You keep talking about dropping grenades.... but all you're doing are bombing out in the competitions...

Ragan about Brendon: Brendon think he's smart, but he's only as smart as the one he's cheating off of...

Britney about Kathy falling off... Again: I can't be any more frustrated about her performances...

Ragan completes the VETO puzzles, and wins the POV! Which (should) guarantee that he will get his $20k for being the Saboteur...

Britney is disappointed that she has to schmooze the Neandertahl...

Lane's irritated that it's now 50/50 that another Brigade member will join him on the block...

"RE: Veto Competition"
Posted by Snidget on 08-18-10 at 08:17 PM
And the hamster that falls off the balance beam?

Sur-prise, sur-prise it is Kathy. Who could have predicted that?

"Pandora's Box returns again"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 08:26 PM
We see the start of the fallout of the Brigade... with Matt possibly being served up as the fall guy.

Brendon comes up to see Pandora's Box...

Paradise is calling your name: Trip for 2, buffet, etc... maybe even Rachel?

Congratulations: you will be whisked away to a private 24 hours away from the house... (he thinks it will be with Rachel...)

Except: *ding-dong* *ding-dong ding-dong*

Rachel's back for 24 hours.... she thinks that she'll have time to be with Brendon... who's already gone out for 24 hours, and didn't say good-bye!

"RE: Pandora's Box returns again"
Posted by Snidget on 08-18-10 at 08:28 PM
So Rachel comes in saying I can be as mean as I want and they have to deal with me, then gets upset that people aren't sweet and nice to her in return?

"Hurricane Rachel is at it again"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 08:30 PM
and her main target is: Ragan, who really doesn't want to hear it, especially since he just won the POV and was starting to feel good...

"Showmance frustrations"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 08:37 PM
The HoH room opens, and they see the Pandora's Box emblem on the door and wonder if he's locked inside, but no answer....

Meanwhile, Brendon's in Paradise (Jury House) and is searching for Rachel... until he finds an envelope that tells him that Vegas is in another castle...

So he gets to enjoy himself floating in the pool, getting massages, and eating a gourmet meal or two...

Meanwhile, back in the cage, Rachel/Ragan's fight card continues... with Ragan giving her the riot act, via logic...

Rachel says goodbye to Kathy/Enzo/Hayden on her way out... and also leaves a message in pretzels to Brendon... "I *heart* U... MATT" (to indicate who she wants to see replace Ragan on the block, that is...)

We didn't really see her questioning anyone... which she was supposed to.... I guess...

Brendon returns almost as soon as Rachel departs, and sees the message from Rachel...

"Saboteur Ideas"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 08:53 PM
Sounds like this one was for the Saboteur to keep the hamsters up all night... first by telling them there is a competition... and then constantly play videos to wake them up.... and then in the morning to say 'Psych!'

"POV Meeting"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 08:56 PM
Ragan's in turmoil because he'll save himself, but put one of his friends up instead....

He does so, and Matt gets put up in his stead... but he's got the Diamond POV to save him...

The Brigade is planning for Matt's demise over Lane... and Britney is relieved that she's safe (for now)

"RE: POV Meeting"
Posted by michel on 08-18-10 at 11:02 PM
I missed the episode so thanks for this. Any indication on the replacement Hamster for Matt?

"RE: POV Meeting"
Posted by vince3 on 08-18-10 at 11:37 PM
Well, if what wasn't shown is any indication.... Britney.

1. The Rats cobbled together Britney's goodbye message from stuff she said right after the tiff between first Rachel and Britney/Ragan, and then Brendon against the twosome... she told Rachel when she returned that her goodbye message was a lot nicer than that...

2. Various Brigade members are trying to sway it so that their partners' side alliances go away... Britney with Lane, Enzo with Brendon (can't happen this week), Matt with Ragan... I think Hayden is now only Brigade loyal since he lost Kristen...

3. The message that Rachel left might/might not have been against the rules... or at the very least it equates letting them see a banner from a plane...

4. Bonus item that the Rats are bending/breaking the rules this week? On Monday, Eggplant Parmesan frozen dinners were found in the Pantry, and have been scarfed down by the Have-Nots...

"RE: POV Meeting"

Moment of unintended humor -- Ragan tells Britney that she is such a kind human being. Britney accepts this as if it were true. She does not even do a DR saying that Ragan's idiocy is such that she wants to throw up on herself.

*if she's eating much eggplant, that would be colorful and disgusting*

Last I heard, she was eating everything in that meal box except the eggplants...

"Veto Ceremony Fallout"
Posted by vince3 on 08-19-10 at 08:07 PM
We start tonight's episode with a mega-recap which started with Matt's Diamond POV grabbinb from the previous week...

Julie finally says that both Brendon and Ragan are safe...

We see Ragan refusing to pull a Marcellas 2.0, and Matt going on the block to set up the carnage...

Lane: Matt, sorry, but I'm against you...

Brendon: I kept my promise to Rachel, since Matt was the most responsible...

Matt: I'm so safe it's not funny... Diamond POV... *cackle*

Enzo: May be time to drop Matt from the Brigade...

Ragan: It's bittersweet to see Matt go up in my place, since he's playing for his wife and her disease...

"RE: Veto Ceremony Fallout"
Posted by Snidget on 08-19-10 at 08:12 PM
I wonder when Ragan will find out about the lack of disease?

Hayden tells Matt about Rachel's pretzel message to Brendon and Kathy not telling him about it... and he has something to think about putting her as his replacement...

Now we see the continuing decline of the Brigade... Hayden/Enzo tell Lane that they'll probably for for him, not Matt... but tells Matt to his face that they don't know what they're doing... but Matt figures it out that it's really... 'Can I kick you out and still get your vote?'

"Saboteur Ideas"
Posted by vince3 on 08-19-10 at 08:18 PM
Leave an 'I Know Your Secret' message somewhere in the cage... This sounds like a horror movie... and this place is like a haunted house so....

Ragan places it in Enzo's bed, and he's worried because he's in the Brigade which is a secret alliance... and it deflects the Stabo identity to Kathy...

"Hamster interviews"
Posted by vince3 on 08-19-10 at 08:23 PM
Britney gets asked about Rachel's Pandora's Box revival... she was in shock about it, since she was half-asleep initially...

Then Ragan gets asked about his argument with Rachel and the risk of arguing with a juror...

Lane gets asked what he would want sent from home: Muscle Milk! The soy milk svcks!

Julie tells them that the Stabo is still in the cage and that their Reign of Terror is now over... they cheer.

"Home looking"
Posted by vince3 on 08-19-10 at 08:27 PM
We get look-ins at Britney and Lane's families and their opinions of their relationships...

Britney's at her family's home, and Lant's at his favorite hangout...

"RE: Home looking"
Posted by michel on 08-19-10 at 09:14 PM
I wonder if anyone was surprised that Britney's mother wasn't Kathy?!!

"Da votes:"
Posted by vince3 on 08-19-10 at 08:34 PM
But first... Matt gets to speak first... and he scorches Brendon... as he whips out his now broken Diamond POV... which Julie confirms the power's ability... Brendon/Ragan are safe, and he decides to put Kathy up in his stead...

Speeches time, and it's a love fest...

As the votes start, they start to react about the Diamond POVs use...

Hayden VTE Kathy
Enzo VTE Kathy
Ragan VTE Kathy (and he's in happy shock...)
Matt VTE Kathy
Britney VTE Kathy and she *glomps* Matt on the way in, and dances the way out of the DR...

Kathy gets a blindside sweep out of the cage to join Rachel.

I think the only one in the cage that wasn't happy about that eviction is the HoH, Brendon... everyone that he had targeted or wanted to target this week is still in the cage, and he can't play in the HoH competition...

While staying within broadcast standards, could Matt have made a speech which made him sound more obnoxious? That was every smirk from the entire season rolled into one self-serving me-a-thon.

He actually made me feel sorry for Brendon. Now there's an achievement.

Or he thinks he's tracking towards a 5-2 win.

If the season's pattern holds, he's about to win HoH. (Nominees: Brendon & Britney.)

"HoH Competition"

They play BB says:

Howl at the moon
TP the HoH room
12 jumping jacks
2 minute Group Hug!
5 second handstands if you can...

and the questions are about it...

True/False questions... get it wrong, and your gone...

1. Jumping Jacks in the living room? False: Ragan/Hayden are gone.

2. Group hug for 2 minutes? True: Matt's eliminated, and he wanted to be eliminated, I think...

3. Bark at the moon? False: No eliminations.

4. TP like you're back in HS? False: Decorative fashion... Lane's eliminated.

5. Sashay to the backyard to do Handstand for 5 seconds? False

6. Make out with imaginary friend? True. Both wrong.

7. Chase your tail until you're dizzy? True. Britney is now the new HoH!

Ragan did a happy dance in the Have Not room and I think he was more or less thanking either BB itself or America for probably both his $20k for being the Stabo and Matt's Diamond POV, which both were in the first Pandora's Box of this season...

That happy face Ragan had in the diary room while he voted was a little scary.

I think he has a future in slasher movies.

I don't think they should have told them the Sabo is done. They all thought it was Kathy - BB should have let Kathy leave with the house thinking it was her.

"RE: Sabo Reveal"
Posted by kingfish on 08-20-10 at 01:10 PM
You're right, it would have been more interesting if they had not been told that the Sabo twist was over. It would have been interesting to see who the next suspect would be, and if anyone would be evicted because the others thought he/she was a Sabo.

Enzo's Sabo pseudo-logic was pretty funny.

Production clearly stumbled with that.
