When we last left the hamsters, all except Rachel were on a giant spinning paint can, getting whacked and painted by a huge paint brush, all in the name of winning the 2nd endurance HoH of the season.

The first one off will be the only Have Not of the week, and there aren't any bonus items for them, either...

Whoever the HoH is, they will be tempted by Pandora's Box with some kind of power. If the power is chosen, however, they will unleash Ragan as Stabo 2.0

I will take one for the team and be a Have Not--Kathy.

You would think she would get some benefit before she fell on her baton... but no.

LAST EDITED ON 08-08-10 AT 08:24 PM (EST)

Highlights in black in white until the paint spray brings us to color again...

Brendon: I need this to keep us alive.

Matt: I want to see the Brigade's name up in lights with this HoH.

Hayden: I want revenge this week. Kristen didn't deserve to go.

Kathy: I don't care if there are repurcussions for my dissenting vote.

Enzo: Too bad there's no more nookie for Hayden, but the Animal is loose again.

Kathy abandons ship, on purpose (she says) and is the Have Not

Rachel tries to encourage Brendon, much to multiple houseguest's DR complaints.

Enzo abandons ship to save himself for later, much to Matt's shagrin...

Matt is using Britney to keep him updated on his condition, and it's getting worse by the minute...

"Segment 2"
Posted by vince3 on 08-08-10 at 08:23 PM
Kathy is apparently hosting the competition, announcing Brendon's departure to the remaining hamsters...

Rachel DRs the obvious that he's been stinking on the HoHs and figures that she might become the target of whoever wins it...

Lane is off next, followed by Britney who doesn't want to be the one to put up Rachel/Brendon... Shortly followed by Hayden... leaving Matt/Hayden up there again in endurance...

Ragan doesn't want to really win this because he doesn't want blood on his hands... and it might get him further in the game...

Ragan falls off, giving Matt his 2nd endurance HoH win... Hayden says, 'Don't screw up the noms this time Evil Genius!'

Small party with Hayden/Matt/Enzo in the pantry about Rachel/Brendon's potential exit this week....

Pity party in the one bedroom, especially by Rachel more than Brendon because she's the bigger target since she's won HOHs over his POVs...

We get an over the top HoH room reveal and the game of Trapped!

Pandora's Box time: The power is... the DIAMOND POV! This POV is good for the next 2 weeks and he gets to choose the replacement nominee after saving himself/someone! He has to keep it a secret, though... (In essence: Game Over, Brigade will have numbers advantage on the house at F7, practically guaranteed....)

He lies to the cage that he opened the box only to find another $1 card inside... but he says that something bad is coming....

The cage doesn't believe him...

You'd think super genius could come up with a lie at least plausible enough one hamster would buy it.

We now get to see Ragan's reaction to being voted into the possible Stabo role...

He must execute 3 sabotages per week, for two weeks. If he survives the next two evictions... If successful, he gets $20k...

He agonizes it over the decision, but eventually... he accepts!

They're taking still more suggestions for sabotage ideas...

Rachel and then Brendon try to 'talk' Matt into not nominating them... No sale...

Then we get the Return of the Stabo! Most say that they wouldn't take it... For whatever reason, they thought something *good* was gonna happen because Matt only got a $1? I thought he was telling something bad was gonna happen? I dunno...

There is much moaning and groaning about the Stabo's return to the cage, there's already too much drama in the cage!

Yep, he told them that, but they think they know that Pandora's box rewards one party and is cruel to the rest, or if it screwed over the HOH, the rest of the house should get something nice.

$1 for HOH + bad on the house = two bads = suspicion of lie. Matt should have made up a lie that he got something good that would be unverifiable. Like a flat screen.

"Nomination Ceremony"

In order of Keys:

Kathy
Ragan
Britney
Lane
Enzo
Hayden

Brendon/Rachel are nominated, and the keys are in the reverse order of his alliances...

Rachel and Brendon are dumb enough to buy that Hayden/Enzo/Lane are at the top of Matt's pecking order after them but you'd think Britney, Ragan and even Kathy would see clear through that "ploy".

Best part of the episode was the game of trapped and Britney's explanation of how they were all mocking Rachel with the over-the-top HOH drooling and that Rachel didn't notice anything.

I spent the hour wondering why Rachel would keep wearing red hair extensions that don't remotely match the dye job on her hair. It just disturbed me.

So other stuff happened?

Matt picks Kathy
Rachel picks Britney
Brendon picks Houseguests Choice, chooses Enzo BB he's been stinking in the comps...

BB will let them know when it is...

"Veto Competition"

*ding-dong*

Jeff/Jordan arrive in pink bowling shirts to host the POV that they're calling Lover's Lane....

They gussied up the bowling lane that they used for practice...

10 pins, all in 5 rows, via tubes. They're stacked on top of each other...

45 seconds to knock as many as possible... then you challenge someone to beat it...

This is the first POV hosting gig for either Jeff or Jordan...

Round 1: Rachel is up first, knocked 6 down. She calls up Kathy.

Kathy then knocks down 7, the last two in a combo hit! Rachel is eliminated.

Round 2: Brendon is up first, knocks down 3 and then fastballs one in frustration... He calls up Britney.

Britney then knocks down 5, eliminating Brendon, and putting the showmance into extreme bicker mode on the Couch of Losers...

After the Showmance was eliminated, the rest of the POV was a party... for everyone but them...

Round 3: Enzo is up first, knocks down 8. Challenges Britney, who knocks down 9.

Round 4: Ragan knocks down 7. Challenges Matt, who knocks down 9.

Round 5: Kathy knocks down 7. Challenges Britney who knocks down 8...

Round 6: Matt knocked down 7. Britney knocked down all 10 pins to win the POV with ultimate style!

Jeff promotes his Around the World for Free webshow... Next stop for him: Tokyo!

After the POV, Rachel wants to confront Kathy about the 'disrespect' that she was shown in the POV after Kathy eliminated her...

Kathy doesn't want to hear it in the room that Rachel initially wanted to talk in, so it moved to the Kitchen, where the house hears the carnage... and it won't stop...

Hide Rachel's extensions? Nah, too nasty.

Stinky cheese under the beds? If I put it under Showmance's beds? They won't notice!

Turn the Showmance against each other? Hmmm.....

*static*

Stabo: Rachel, Brendon's been throwing competitions to advance his game.....

Rachel: Yeah, right, like I would turn on Brendon...

HGs: That was meant to try to get us to vote out Brendon.... Nice try, Stabo Rachel, but it won't work...

"POV Meeting"
Posted by vince3 on 08-11-10 at 08:55 PM
Since Britney probably won't use it, Brendon figures he has to do something drastic to try to somehow save Rachel...

Rachel offers her $5k to Britney to save either one of them...

Brendon decides to BLAST Britney with his POV speech... then asks for it to be used on him... much like Andrew did in his 'save me' speech earlier...

Britney responds by BLASTING BACK on Brendon! She then puts the POV in the chest, because she's not using it...

You were lucky your cable was out. Tonight's episode was so bad all three of us watching had barf buckets. I can not take Brenden and Rachel anymore. How lucky are we, we get to see the jury house with just Brenden and Rachel in it. They should vote rachel out and keep Brenden in the bb house as long as possible.

I muted most of the show because Rachel's voice coupled with her overall attitude would make anyone sick. What little respect I had for Brenden is gone after this episode.

Britney was right about them both. Just disgusting individuals all around. The whole Kathy situation was unbelievable.

This episode was a battle for me. We got the really annoying, funny, side of everyone but Brenchel, and then we had Brenchel. They might be the most dilusional people I've ever seen. I loved Kathy's response and reaction to Rachel. I loved Britney's response at the Veto meeting to Brendan. And I loved the bowling party - after Brenchel was knocked out.

I also am glad that Hayden and Ragan called Rachel out on her behavior - especially her behavior when she won the HOH.

She wanted them to bring it. Looks like they are. I don't think I've ever wanted someone gone as much as I want them gone. More than Danielle, more than Evil #####, more than anyone.

need I say more? I especially liked Kathy's response to Rachel - and understand why she couldn't just keep a completely closed lip, but she held it pretty well.

Rachel has got to be the biggest self-centered baby I've ever seen!
And then Brenden's poor sport attitude!

My gosh! It is a GAME!

I was wondering how any of these people (namely Rachel & Brenden) react when they watch this later.....
Does Rachel see what we see? Does Brenden?
Especially curious as to what their "friends" back home think....

I was thinking the same thing. But then again, this could lead to some hilarious footage. Just imagine if it's Britney who has to be in the jury house with them. The amount of great insults she'll be hurling in the DR would make Triumph the Insult Comic Dog blush.

And what was up with Brendon and Rachel's performance last night in the comp? Didn't they practice all night? They managed a combined total of nine pins. Britney got 10 on her very last turn, alone. That had to be one of the biggest chokejobs under pressure since the Bills in Super Bowl XXV.

"RE: Big Brother 12 ECST Week 5: Paint, Pandora, and Stabo?"
Posted by Outfrontgirl on 08-12-10 at 07:56 PM
I agree that the Brenchel footage was nauseating. I found Kathy obnoxious though. Clearly she has been going around the house spewing about her righteousness. and deserved to be called on it. I noticed her reaction on beating Rachel, without needing Rachel to remark on it ; Kathy's victory whoop was obnoxious, almost worthy of the Fiendship.

I can't stand Kathy. I hope she goes next and is suitably punished for her self-righteous attitude by having to share jury house with Rachel's voice.

Is it remotely possible they would evict Brendan instead of Rachel? Hard to imagine passing up the opportunity to get drama queen out of the house.

Ragan: Brendon's a Neantherdal...

Britney: Brendon is an a-hole...

Brendon: I want to fall on my sword to save Rachel... all for my love...

Rachel: Brendon's amazing for trying to kill himself to save me...

Brendon: 1/2 mill for love? If that makes me an idiot, so be it...

They have a laugh about how the Scientist Showmance can't figure out that there iss an alliance in the bloody house...

Rachel tries to be friendly with Britney/Ragan.... to no sale.

Brendon then comes over and atomic bombs on BOTH of them...and Kathy. Ragan responds in calling them the Greusome Twosome... and he get s made fun of immediately afterwards...

They're trying to sell Brendon's departure possibility... but Hayden is the voice of reason trying to telling them that Brendon svcks at the HoHs... (he has won 2 POVs though...)

"RE: Brigade Meeting"

That's the first time Britney's mocked a target in front of that person and had it register as mockery. Not the best idea on her part -- guess who's on the block if Brendon takes HoH, given that he's too blinded by his own arrogance to spot the four-person alliance two inches away?

Possibly not as stupid as Brendon's plan, though. They know what he's up to, and they're not falling for it. The only way he could save Rachel would be by quitting. Walk out, eviction's canceled, see you next week.

...

...no, he's not going to think of that.

We're definitely getting at least one double eviction: the pace will have to speed up if we're going to make deadline.

And in her way, Kathy's right -- but she's also a little too smug. Fiendship indeed.

"RE: Hamster bloopers"
Posted by Round Robin on 08-13-10 at 01:06 AM
There will not need to be a double eviction unless somebody reenters the house. They have 8 left now. If nobody reenters, and if they follow the final 3 format they used last year, they will drop to 7 on 8/19, to 6 on 8/26, to 5 on 9/2, to 4 on 9/9, to 3 on 9/12, finale on 9/15. They always do a lot of speeding up in the last week anyway, and the need for a double eviction was removed when a 14th person who was supposed to play this year dropped out before the season started.

"RE: Hamster bloopers"
Posted by vince3 on 08-13-10 at 01:45 AM
Except that the last episode before the Finale (9/12) is usually the Rememberence/Season In Review episode...

I think they're going to pull an America's choice to bring back a juror. Why would Julie raise expectations if there weren't a real shot.

Yes, they could do one of those comps where evictee (Casey) hosts, but that's not hype-worthy even for this show.

I'm thinking the producers don't want to see the Brigade sail to the end without any obstacles.

How many jurors do they need for America's choice? At least three ...
I would vote for her to go back in simply to see things shake up. She won't win.

Funny how they all forgot that on her way out. She may not have spoken to anyone but Brendon -- but they didn't make the effort either. Not only that, but no one could be bothered to gather at her picture for the hue change. And when Brendon goes out, she's going to hear all about it.
