Since I screwed up the title of the last ECST week, I decided to start this one immediately for the coming week (8/24/08 - 8/28/08)

We will see the carnage of the HoH/Torture competition. We will see how Dan ended up winning it after almost 4 hours. Whenever they do endurance, they usually don't food comps, but that doesn't mean that there can't be something like a luxury competition.........

America's Choice is for someone to get a call from home. I'm sure we'll see that emotional drama sometime on Sunday or Tuesday (there won't be time on Thursday.....)

Thursday? Will be fast paced, at least by BB standards: A whole week condensed into an hour...... Live vote out, HoH, Nominations, POV, POV meeting, 2nd live vote out, and 2nd HoH (time permitting....)

First off, the HoH torture/competition. They're on ropes/vines that occasionally swing into a crash pad that has trees painted on it, and balloons as well.

Jerry crashed out first. His position on the rope swing gave him major groin pains.

Apparently the balloons that were on the crash pad in green and black were designed to be used by the hamsters for a mid-air water balloon fight. Michelle (innoncent bystander? Yeah right.) got hit by a water balloon intended for Ollie.

Keesha falls off after a series of crashing into the crash pad.

Michelle wipes out after one of her feet gets caught in part of the netting that was in the crash pad.

After over 3 hours of abuse, Memphis couldn't take anymore and he fell off.

We're down to Ollie and Dan, and I'm gonna post this to talk about their portion.........

Dan and Ollie come together with the "Deal of the Century"

After Ollie falls and Dan wins HoH, the deal is laid out:

1. Ollie gets to pick one of the nominees.

2. Ollie and someone of his choice is safe this week (Michelle)

3. If the Veto is used, Ollie picks the replacement nominee.

Parts 2 and 3 of the deal are broken:

Jerry and Michelle are now the nominees after Memphis plays the Veto and after an elaborate interactive session, Michelle is named as the replacement, much to Ollie's shagrin (and habitat destruction.....)

Memphis wins veto competition.

On a harness and "fly" across back yard to collect puzzle pieces and put them together. More pieces than you need. Two heats. Keesha and Memphis win their heats.

Am I the only one that wants to slap the smug right off Ollie's face? It could be editing, but he seems so certain Dan won't dare to defy him.

Jerry also got a phone call from home from America's Choice.

Dan goes through an elaborate plan to backdoor Michelle that might have irritated everyone else in his alliance in the progress.

How dumb is Ollie?

If falling for April didn't answer that question, then insisting Dan put Keesha up as replacement is proof. Didn't Ollie realize that he didn't control the vote? Isn't the vote more important than the nomination? Even if he had gotten Dan to put Keesha on the block, Memphis and Renny's vote would have been enough to save her. If Ollie wanted to save Michelle, he HAD to let Dan off the hook for the replacement nomination in exchange for a promise to vote out Jerry.

Kayser had a small excuse, he only asked for protection for himself and he was the first to learn the truth about endurance challenge promises.

Nor much of an excuse, but more than Ollie has.

Ollie had the precedent (he seems to have watched at least some BB before) and he over-reached, and he was too dumb to realize it.

Ollie is a dumb kid who thinks he has street smarts. But at least he felt superior for a while. But Dan is so sharp, he's handling his alliance and every one else with a deft touch. Even Memphis is trusting him again. Some.

By the end of the game I am willing to bet even Ollie votes for him, if he (Dan) is final 2.

Ollie's arrogance is really getting on my nerves and no...you are not the only one!

Hey, so I'm one of the ones that will not be getting BB until like 2 am or some such.

I'm going to try to see if one of the on-line feeds might work, but who knows. Would appreciate updates since this is one show where you can't really know what will happen based on the last couple of days of feeds.

I'm getting the show live tonight. (Thank goodness the Browns are on NBC.) I might be able to provide some very basic updates, but honestly, I am so freaking excited about tonights show that I don't want to be distracted by anything! (Yeah, I have no life.)

I will do what I can though. At least post who wins what and who gets booted. Don't expect witty commentary.

Though if Dan is the second evictee, I don't know if I'll be able to type the words. *dramatic sigh*

Dan impresses me. It just seems that his mind is always working, and he seems to have pretty deft touch with it comes to handling his unruly teammates. He already had Memphis calmed down, for the most part. And he's even keeping Renny in line so far.

The POV ceremony was unique and imaginative, as was his deal with Ollie, and his keeping Ollie in the dark until the POV ceremony was smart.

Now he's making a fake 'Platinum POV'. I don't know what kind of bluff he has in mind, maybe after the HOH ceremony, if J/M or Ollie wins it he thinks he can use it to threaten the new HOH? Maybe he's going to turn O/M's suspicion of him as a plant to his advantage, and claim the BB gave him the Platinum POV in the DR? Not a great chance of working, I would think, but it might come up as being worth a try. And I hope BB doesn't blow it for him. He is a Survivor fan, I would think.

But in any case, it is an imaginative ploy.

With luck, I think he can take the whole deal. He is definitely a Will Kirby type, and he may out Will Kirby the Doc.

It would be interesting to see who Jerry would vote for in the final two if Memphis and Dan are the choices. Maybe it'll be the "Big One, Elizabeth".

My favorite part of this was when Keesha accidentally smacked Renny in the face with her board with the numbers on it! Keesha had just hugged Dan or Memphis and Renny ran up and as Keesha moved to hug Renny, she accidentally whacked her in the face!

I don't know but it just seemed appropriate.

Production probably isn't happy. Even if Jerry or Ollie gets POV, the other is going home. Nothing weird can happen, right? Two people will be on the block and three vote? No matter what, R/D/M should control who goes home.

So, Ollie or Jerry, or will Keesha really shake it up? She has no good reason to IMO, she knows both of the other two want her out, but putting up Ollie and sending his ##### home on a penalty nom (cross fingers) makes the most sense for Keesha.

Well, that was a rout. Probably the most obvious veto decision ever for Dan: lol not changing.

Great Big Brother episode, or Best Big Brother episode?

I don't think it could have gone any better.

It might be a tie with Keesha's birthday for greatest episode ever.

Keesha was the last one, but she's already done evictions. Don't they normally have another HoH after the quickie?

Yep, usually the do it right after the episode. Usually the feeds won't be back up until it is over.

The question is will the do something fast, or do an endurance that will last long enough for the BBAD show.

I'm guessing they'll have it done by BBAD so they can do the HOH room reveal on that.

We don't know yet. Feeds are back and they're all jumping around and celebrating (of course except Jerry.) HOH2 should be sometime tonight, hopefully. I don't know if they would leave it for tomorrow?

I'd think they'd do the HOH tonight, but we will see.

you guys give Dan to much credit. He's just a lying dork ,strutting around the house in sunclasses.., what a a-hole. the SOB has no class and will do anything n say anything for money, he is a discrace to the catholic church. The others should vote him out next cause he'll turn on them also.

Preliminary thought, good episode.

I was surprised the video feed I used worked pretty well. The video was a bit jumpy but the audio was good. I'm more auditory than visual so it was OK. Had a few lock ups, but a lot of the worst ones were during commercials which was fine.

The DVR is catching it. I may have to watch this again!!!

This has been the best.week.ever. Not only do I want to see tonight's episode again, but I want to re-watch Dan's nomination ceremony from Sunday and his Tuesday night Veto Roulette game.

If they ever get around to having the HOH they'll probably block the feeds and I'm definitely going to watch this epi again. Now I can sit back and relax knowing that it all works out instead of jumping around like a madwoman.

Good, let's see Dan evicted. He stands no chance of winning anyways.

So, if he faces Jerry, which particular vote of Libra, Renny, Keesha, or Memphis would he lose at this point?

Jerry has the HOH, but who has the POV?

Whether Dan goes or not depends on who wins the POV, assuming Dan and Memphis are on the block.

If Dan wins POV, then he stays.

If Dan stays on the block, then it depends on Renny, since Keesha seems to be on Dan's side (some doubt here, maybe, but II think it's a fair assumption based on his protection of her so far. She seems loyal to him.)

So if Dan is on the block, and has Keesha's vote, then how will Renny vote. If she votes against Dan, there is a tie, and Jerry kicks Dan off. If not, then Memphis leaves.

So, you see, it's not over yet, there is room for Dan to maneuver, and I think he will sway Renny this time, just as he has before. Adding to that would be Renny's stated aversion to Memphis.

One wild card is the possibility that Jerry will put Dan up against Renny. Both Keesha and Memphis would be hard to predict in that case, but both should realize that being next to Dan would be their best case scenario.

If Dan makes it thru this week, then next week Jerry goes (I don't think he can compete for the next HOH) leaving Dan, Keesha and Memphis. Since neither Dan nor Keesha can compete against Memphis (I think) at F2, there would be two of the three trying to get Memphis out, leaving Keesha and Dan at the end.

And Dan winning. Maybe. I'm beginning to lean toward Keesha if it played out like this, but getting to F2 is half the game, and leaves open the possibility that Dan could take it all.

Ollie did not believe there were any POVs in his pile of hay. So after the comp he stayed outside searching while the other HGs went inside. Memphis laughed because BB let the HGs choose their own lane/hay pile to compete in. Ollie was paranoid to the end.
