At home, I can access and read messages, but when I try to post, I get the log in screen; I log in; it gives me the box for writing my message; I write my message and I hit post message; AND I GET THE LOG IN SCREEN SECTION AGAIN!
When I come in to work to see if any posts I made from home show up, they have not.
I have aol (dial up) at home.
Also my puter is set not to allow cookies.
Does either of these make a difference?
Any ideas?

The cookies might matter, that may be how it knows you have logged in once you navigate away from the page.You might set it to accept cookies from this site and see if that makes it work.
It's a tribe creation!
I'm going to try that. I only just thought of that possibility as I was typing for help here.
Funny how putting a problem down in writing can sometimes help you think of solutions,
I'll be back tomorrow to say if it works.

I'm having the same problem. Just started on Friday night... I've never had any problems before. I use Firefox at home, but when I tried on IE I had no problems. Not sure what that's all about. I haven't changed any settings recently.

I ok'd the cookies at home but still can't get/stay logged in.
I log in & it appears that I AM logged in, but as soon as I post, I get the ole log in screen again. Huh!
Handcrafted by RollDdiceIs that 'bumped" thread titled FAQ about error messages meant for me?
I don't think I have been philiminated - oops - I mean eliminated, cause I can still get on here at work.
Nope not for you.
LAST EDITED ON 04-27-07 AT 11:48 AM (EST)I used to have that fustrating problem, and it was cured for me when I began turning off the firewall when I wanted to post. I also had to turn it off the get pictures uploaded, or check profiles.
My firewall just didn't get along with RTVW, but, oddly, it worked OK with sites where security is even more of a issue, i.e., Ebay, P-Pal, bank accounts, investmant accounts.
A revision to the firewall software (or maybe I just loaded it correctly during an update) cured the problem. I use IE, and Zonealarm, and symantec anitvirus.
Goodness Kingfish! I don't even know if I have a firewall!
I've looked at the list of programs - you know where you can go to delete any programs you want? - and there's so much stuff there! I have no idea what is suppossed to be there and what is not!
I mean, I know, yes that my Quicken program, aol, windows xp, and a few other things I (me personally) have installed. But who knows what all that other stuff is!
Sometimes, I think I'd be better off just going and buying a whole new computer system with the basics on it and starting over.
~~~~ thinking maybe a good idea for mothers day? I'm not a mother - well, except to my dogs) but I still get a gift & card from DH every year!~~~~
I recently downloaded the update for my ad-aware, which includes ad-watch. It did exactly the same thing you said in your original post. Turning off the ! ad-watch and leaving it off seems to be working, at least for today.
I was so ! frustrated I also wanted to just go out and get a new computer. I'm working on a 10 year old+ 233Mhz Dell with dial up. I think the entire system is now worth about ten dollars. I may switch over to a 766Mhz HP I got for free, once I figure out how to kick out the stinky Windows Millenium OS and install either my old Windows 98, or go find XP for cheap.
If you get any ideas for a new 'puter (hopefully between $500 - $800), as Ross Perot said: "I'm all ears."
I'm rather scared of the new Windows Vista.
