Forgive me if this is something already known, or if I'm wrong in assuming this is the problem, but over the summer, I did two things. First, I took a break from this board, and second, I switched to Mozilla Firefox as my browser. I just went to post over in the Survivor forum, and even though I gave my username and password when initially prompted after hitting reply(been awhile here, and like I said, I switched browsers), after I hit the post button to submit my message, I was returned to the log in page. I did this circle for a few times before I realized nothing was happening.

On a whim, I opened up IE, which is what I'm using to type this post now as well, and was able to post my reply right away...

Can anyone tell me if this is a problem in my settings, or just a glitch with firefox and these boards in general?

Although I don't have the exact answer for you ... I did a similar thing a couple of years ago.

I changed my browser from IE to Opera. I couldn't post either. Unless, I temporarily changed back to IE
I almost had my "in-house"-computer-expert remove the whole damned thing.
Instead he said that I probably needed to get a new password and sign in on the new Browser with it. It worked, I could now sign on and post a message. Alas, I couldn't upload images to SB. (Still haven't figured out that one.) A small price to pay though.


I imagine that it's *Hopefully* something very easy like getting a new password. Try that first and then post again.

Hi Risti, I've been using Firefox pretty much since it was released and I'm not aware of any such login issues

I had this problem too, but on IE. I don't know for sure, but I think it was because I blocked a cookie or clicked the wrong button when prompted to accept something.

I cleared my cookies and history and then it worked.

If you're blocking cookies then yes, you would experience login session issues while navigating from page to page.
