"html question"

Posted by HistoryDetective on 08-27-05 at 09:34 AM
I am trying to write something with wraparound text. I would like the second and subsequent lines to be indented five spaces. Since I am a novice to html I don't even know if this is possible. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

This is a good website for lots of useful html tags. On this page from htmlgoodies.com if you scroll down towards the bottom (the definition list), it shows how to make indents without the use of numbers or bullets such as with lists. Or, you can just use <p> for a paragraph tag, which indents 5 spaces (I believe).

If that's not what you're looking for, the site may have it on another page.

Is that what you are looking for?
In html, enclose your text in this:
<p style="text-indent: -40px; margin-left:40px"></p>
If you are doing it on the boards, replace the <> with [] and the indent and margin values depend on your font size, so they may take some tweaking.
