A swoop is when you post to a thread, and get a certain special post number. Swoop numbers ar 69 and any of the hundreds.

Ideally, a true swoop occurs when one hasn't posted to a thread at all, then swoops in to grab post 69, 100, 200, whatever, then doesn't post again in the thread.

For awhile, folks would come in and grab 97, 98, and 99 to get to 100, but that's not a true swoop, and it's kinda gone away.
