"Who would you like to see on the ballot??"

I "wish to discuss how worthy/unworthy a nominee is for an award." How about you??

Webby said - "DO NOT nominate a contestant who has already been previously nominated in that category. If you wish to discuss how worthy/unworthy a nominee is for an award, please discuss it in the RealityTVWorld Blowie Award Nomination Discussion Forum. Do not discuss it in this forum."

So, I figured I start a new thread!

I really think that 712's nomination for the "Worst Producer Blunder" - BB3 final vote - is a very good one. Not only did many of the participants discuss the final vote before it happened, but the producers never gave the audience the participants' reasons for voting for Lisa. I don't think anyone in the audience really felt satisfied at the end of the show.

What do you think?

...did you have any doubt that they were going to vote for Lisa? It was a pretty suspenseless vote. I think that was part of the finale's problem (other than Julie Chen's ineptness as a host, that is).

No doubt here, but many fans felt that Dani should have won. I would have enjoyed hearing everyone give their reasons for voting for Lisa, the way they did it in BB2. After a few votes it would have been anticlimactic, but still interesting.

Edited to add: They should have had to face Dani while they voted against her.

The reasons were all the same. They all got their feelings hurt by some stray comment or another etc. and so decided to vote based on bitterness and for revenge. The next BBs will work exactly the same way until around BB7, when people will have caught on that you can't actually do much of anything either within the group or within the "private interview" room. If you plan to win, you'd better just shut up and be nice.

I don't know about you, but I certainly can't wait until we have a house of twelve Jason and Lisas.

Maybe they should make it so that, when the HG's are voted out, they have to list the other HG's in order of preference, and that will be used as their vote come finale time?

I don't know, I felt *very* satisfied with the ending. The other contestant obviously decided to ban together to make a statement to Danielle.

The only other thing the Producers can maybe do is sequester the rest of the contestants. As we've had in the discussion before, Danielle played a great game to get to the F2, but a poor one to win. Will could get away with it because he brought the one person more vile than him to the end. Danielle made the mistake to ally with the other two nicest people in the game. Her losing was not a Production error--she knew how the game worked.

That's not to say that the process couldn't be improved, but I don't think it was an error or blunder.

Sorry, but when 9/10 of your contestants are voting and the little box they check next to their vote is "revenge", well then Houston, I think we have a problem.

She did make the mistake of allying with the only two normal people in the house, and if she were the biggest b*tch this side of Jerri, or if Lisa had actually had any impact whatsoever on the game, I wouldn't argue with the final vote! But every single one of them voted based on something that Danielle did that hurt their feelings, even if it was one or two stray comments. Add that to the fact that from what we've heard from the contestants, all they've seen are the (heavily!) pre-edited shows, which made Danielle out to be far worse than she was and something really needs to be done about the way this show is run or it's going to be an absolute disaster after another season or two.

That's where we disagree. I think "revenge" is a perfectly valid reason for voting for someone. In a game where playing you are playing with people's emotions a lot of the time, that is a perfectly valid response. Big Brother does it differently than Survivor and future contestants will learn from the mistakes Danielle made.
