Hey everyone....Kira called me just a minute ago!!! She is safe.
They just got out of Manhatten. She is obviously very shaken up over this. She wanted me to tell you all that she is Ok and she appreciated the concern.

She hopes that Itz, Moonie and GG are safe as well.

I think it's fair to say that Itz and Moon probably went home for the day and their internet servers are overloaded so they can't check in today.
They're okay...I just know it.

Anybody have any idea where GG lives? Maybe he works in Brooklyn...don't worry, he's fine.

I have emailed Itz and GG but of course have no idea if they would receive or see it. I had to try, anyway.

I know we all are feeling helpless, but those in NY will probably not be able to contact us, due to the phone lines being used only for emergency services. In any emergency keeping people off on phone lines is important.
I feel like I am rambling.

Thank God! My prayers are with everyone that is in New York right now. I cannot believe that this is happening here. I am very glad that Kira is safe. One of Jason's co-workers was in the world Trade center teaching a class. He ran down 33 flights and was 3/4 of a mile away when it collapsed. There is hope that a lot of people in the towers had time to do the same thing.

Tinkerbell.. didn't Itz give you her number when she went to Korea? Obviously now is not the time to call her, but maybelater on this evening when things calm down.

I don't know where Moon or GG works or lives. I am praying for all three, as well as for all of the people in New York and Washington.

Unfortunately she didn't give me her number. I just had her flight information. I thought of that too and checked my e-mail files and no number.

I'm really glad that Kira is safe...I'm still praying for the safety of our other SB New Yorkers.

I know it will be awhile before they are online again, but I hope at least that they know how worried we are and that we are praying for their safety.

Bless you JIzz, for posting this. Kira, wherever you are this moment I am praying for you. ItzLisa, GG, Moon, I am keeping you at hte top of my list of prayers. I hope you and your loved ones are safe.

Hard to believe that on this day poor Lisa would probably have been safer "in the middle of Korea" than in the Big Apple!!!

I've tried to get through to a lawyer friend who lives on Jane Street in the Village....but only get a recorded "interrupt" message. He works for the U.N. and knowing his stubborn ways I'm sure he is in the UN Building working away (like it ISN'T a big round "Bulls-Eye" target).

Thank you Jizzy for letting us know! It didn't take long for me to realize that her long-awaited trip had put her in the vicinity of this horror. She was so nervous about the trip, too, I wouldn't be surprised if she were a little psychic as she's so sensitive. I just hope she really really liked the show, and I'm glad she's out of the mess.

Now I too want to hear from our other three NYers.

One of my best friends moved back to Manhattan a year ago and had been begging me to visit her this fall. I have emailed her and not heard anything back. She has asthma really seriously. That made me think of how hard it must be to breathe there right now. I'm thinking a lot of all the good people having a hellish experience right now even as survivors.

Kismet--thanks for that report from Jason. It REALLY helps to hear an account of someone escaping, and from 33 floors up. That means there's more hope than the video would indicate.

Apparently email access to NYC is more stable that telephone service. Guess it depends on whether our NYC friends have dial-up or cable connections.

Thank God Vampy is safe! Despite our squabbles from time to time, this community is a strong one & gets stronger in times like this. I'm glad to be a part of it.
