"Helping other teams vs giving answers"
Posted by featherfish81 on 03-05-16 at 10:21 PM
Well, it looks like they still haven't instituted a rule about not giving the answers to other teams, unfortunately. Although I guess it would be hard to police just how much of a tip would be a problem, and I understand why they don't want to completely eliminate teams working together. But I'm not a fan of teams just giving the answer to another team, allowing weaker teams to continue at the expense of stronger ones.

It does not matter to me, sure a few strong teams get removed this way, but half the time (not all the time) the strong team is also the one that gets on other people's nerves with their boasts. No matter what, you know once we reach the half way point (5 teams) where even a little mistake or bad taxi driver can let a weak team beat a stronger one the gloves come off and the help dries up.
I love the competition the second half brings out in the teams. And sometimes what looks like a weak team learns by then that they are in a race and starts to play a good game.

LAST EDITED ON 03-08-16 AT 01:12 PM (EST)It adds an element of strategy to the game. Figuring out how to use helping other teams to ones own advantage adds the possibility that this could help a team or hurt a team that is deceived by depending on reciprocal help.

As long as it is done for a good reason. One should not be helping out team members because they are good looking.

I notice the teams were not as helpful to each other on this leg, bet they get even less helpful in the next leg.

So far on the April 1 show, no teams are helping any other team.

Brodie and Kurt were the first to finish the bread task and now are on a bus to their next clue.

Some teams are doing the carpet task very fast, but some teams are very slow. I am not sure what is slowing them down. The clue says to take a bus, but one team take a taxi cab.
Now another team has taken a taxi!
The end of this race will be a mess.

PS. Notice the buses have rows of compressed gas on the top to fuel them, I would not want to roll down a hill in one of them.

LAST EDITED ON 04-01-16 AT 08:44 PM (EST)Brodie and Kurt finish first but still have to make it to the temple Garni (sp?) to get to the pit-stop.
They make it and get an express-pass.

One team member is having a hard time getting the oil filter off.Another team member who is not doing the oil change had problems figuring out how to get the gas cap off her car!
Scoot gives a clue to the girl on how to take off the oil filter.
