Stupid is as Stupid does, Sir!

This week, the teams continued to race around Delhi, India. The roadblock was to find a clue hung among envelopes that were clueless, while being doused with colored powder and water. The envelopes were not the only things that were clueless here as Kelly was so clueless that she had to try this task umpteen times!

Ken and Tina, being last and saved on the prior leg, had to perform the extra speed bump task. They had to serve holy water to thirsty people until no more people wanted water. This task had to set them back several minutes as there was a pretty big crowd.

The detour was a choice between bleary-eyed - finding numbered tags on electrical wires on a certain street and teary-eyed - carrying a sack of hot peppers to a particular store and grinding them to fill a bowl. Terence, being the crybaby he is, chose to grind hot peppers probably so he would have another reason to cry. The rest of the teams chose the numbered tags.

1. Dallas & Toni (1) – Still the nicest team. Worked so well together and with Nick and Starr, plus they loved all those kids helping them and running with them. That was so cute!

2. Nick & Starr (2) - Still second on my list, but a closer second now. They continue to come in first place and made a good choice to work with Toni and Dallas to get the detour done.

3. Ken & Tina (3) – They aren't so bad. They get the job done. I loved how they cleared out the traffic. They also had the extra speed bump task and still managed to jump ahead of some other teams, plus they helped out with showing the proper numbered tags. Sure they bicker a bit, but what couple wouldn't? The race is a high stress situation.

4. Andrew & Dan (5) – I wasn't sure which team was dumber last night, them or the divorcees. They squeaked by with another next to last place. With fewer teams now, this strategy will only get them so far.

5. Terence & Sarah (6) – Terence disgusts me. He needs to stop whining and grow a set. Sarah has bigger b@ll$ then him!

Philiminated: Kelly & Christy (4) – These two deserved to go! This was a comedy of bumbling errors the whole episode. They couldn't find the clue at the roadblock, had trouble with their taxi driver, so had to find another one. They showed a bit of "ugly American" and they refused to work with Andrew and Dan to get that detour done! Too bad Christy only had experience with ironing.

2: Dallas and Toni for being so doggone nice. And helping out everyone else.

3: Ken and Tina for being so doggone good at getting through their speed bump and STILL beating out the blondes! AND for helping the frat boys, whom the blondes constantly made fun of.

4: Terrance and Sarah: LOVED the Fraudean slip when he asked her, "who's the best girl ever???" and she said 'you are'!! Too funny!! Still hanging out in the next to last slot because of Terrance. Sarah-are you reading these???

5: Frat boys, just because there are no other slots left, and they just suck. Even if one (can't tell them apart) DID have a Tucson shirt on-dude, you are embarrasing me, a fellow Tucsonan!!


ETA: Blonde girls: all I can say is: Ahhh, Buh, bye! Good riddance, don't let the buggy hit your butts on the way out of India! And, try being nicer to the locals next time-maybe you'll do better. No, I doubt it! (Sorry, just had to add that)

Wake me up when this season is over, ok?

1. Nick/Starr (2) - These two are the best racers by far, and their cooperation with Toni/Dallas at the detour was smart strategy as they needed to build goodwill with other teams. As long as they don't get the "Taxi Driver of Doom" on the final leg, these two look like winners.

2. Toni/Dallas (1) - cut and paste from last week's list Another decent effort from a bland but supportive team. I wish they had a little more personality, but at least they're likable and compentent racers.

3. Ken/Tina (3) - Just when these two look like they're self-destructing, they pull off a strong leg. Nice work recovering from the Speed Bump on a leg with no bunch point.

4. Andrew/Dan (5) - Team next-to-last rides again. Do either of them have a single redeeming or interesting quality? Nope, didn't think so.

5. Terence/Sarah (6) - Something different happened this episode: Both of them were tools, not just Terence. But entertaining villains are mean and nasty, not whiny and needy.

Philiminated. Kelly/Christy (4) - And Team Dumb and Dumber has left the building.

1. Toni and Dallas - This is my favoite teams this race.
2. Ken and Tina - This would be my favorite team if Tina would shut up. I really like Ken a lot.
3. Nick and Star - I don't like them very much and was shocked when they agreed to work with Toni and Dallas.
4. Terence and Sarah - He is not what I was expecting from the introduction of the teams. I like Sarah a lot. She and Ken would make a great team.
5. Dan and Andrew - I watch these 2 and wonder how they manage to get through life.

1. Dallas & Toni (2) - I have been reluctant to place Mom and Son at the top of the list. It's been fun watching the other teams act badly, but for some reason this week, it all suddenly got old.

2. Ken & Tina (4) - They have proved me wrong. I expected them to disintegrate this week and be eliminated, but they worked together, got the job done and finished 4th despite the Speed Bump. I'm impressed.

3. Andrew & Dan (1) - Oh fer heck, boys! Second last again.

4. Terence & Sarah (5) - Oh, the whininess. I just can't stand it.

5. Nick & Starr (6) - The "little white lies" thing doesn't play with me. I don't like them.

Philiminated: Kelly and Christy (3) - This is probably just as well, considering that I am no longer amused by their inability to read the clue and would have had to drop them to last place, for their comments about Andrew and Dan if nothing else. Grow the hell up. I have come to believe that they are just saying they left their husbands. I think the husbands left them.

Not read anyone's yet

1. Dallas & Toni(1)(2)(1)(2)(1)(2)-they are a good team but mom should have done that road block, it could come back to them later on one requiring more strength

2. Ken & Tina(8)(4)(2)(1)(2)(4) - They had a better week and I liked how they helped the frat boys to beat the divorcees

3. Andrew & Dan (4)(5)(4)(3)(3)(1)- If they win a leg I think Phil will fall over

4. Terence & Sarah(6)(8)(3)(5)(4)(3) - please Terence just stop. but Sarah was as whiny about the peppers as Terence was about the paint in his nose

5. Nick & Starr-(9)(9)(8)(7)(6)(6) - I wanted Dallas and Toni to win but I hope Toni's words were foreshadowing for later in the game!

1. Nick and Starr: 3 first places in a row! Seeing how easily Starr got through that roadblock, and then seeing how much Kelly/Christie suffered at that same roadblock felt like Karma to me, even though I don't believe in that sort of thing.

2. Dallas and Toni: Pretty much everything I like about Nick and Starr(the whole supportive thing, no fighting, etc.), except these 2 are really really boring, and not quite as good racers. Still really nice seeming people though.

3. Andrew and Dan: They really suck at this game. I said this a couple weeks ago, but I think it bears saying again: They are the team that's going to be a whole leg behind the other 2 teams in the final. They seem like the other teams like them well enough though, so they're mostly just negative to eachother.

4. Ken and Tina: Hard for me to get behind a Non-Eliminated team unless they were people I really liked before hand, or a team I thought placed last due to a lot of bad luck, Ken and Tina are neither. Taking the time to help out Dan and Andrew(possibly causing Kelly and Christie's elimination) was pretty cool though.

5. Terence and Sarah: They're entertaining as the annoying team that fights all the time, but in no way would I actually root for them to be successfull at all.

1. Toni & Dallas - I don't care if some people find them boring. I love these two and I fully expect them to stay at the top of my list until they get eliminated (which hopefully won't happen at all). We haven't seen any bickering or fighting and their relationship just seems to keep getting better and better.

2. Nick & Starr - I'm not crazy about the "little white lie" statement, but I will give them credit for being really good racers and having a supportive, positive relationship. Agreeing to work with Toni and Dallas instead of against them was a nice, if unexpected, change.

3. Ken & Tina - Tina's voice really grates on my nerves sometimes and calling the locals at the Roadblock morons was way uncool but they did really well for having to complete the extra Speedbump task. Bonus points for helping out the frat boys.

4. (tie) Andrew & Dan/Terence & Sarah - I honestly can't decide how to order these two teams this week so I have to go with a tie. Terence's whining and crying is annoying as heck but so is Team Apatow's general cluelessness.

Philiminated: Kelly & Christy - By the time you add up their unnecessary mean comments about Dan and Andrew, their ugly American comments and their inability to read the clue (again!), this was probably the best, most satisfying elimination of the season. Every time Kelly brought back another empty envelope at the Roadblock, I laughed even harder. I didn't like them, I won't miss them and here's hoping the door does hit them on the way out.

Whew back up to date, only watching one eyed although I am assured that the other one will be able to distinguish things "Soon"

1: Nick and Starr - Great racers, her I really like, he seems a little vanilla.

2: Dallas and Toni - Talking of vanilla, I am really impressed with her, I would have expected her to blow up a couple of weeks ago.

3: Ken and Tina - Again much better than I would have expected. Loved the Hulk look.

4: Terence and Sarah - Fourth because a) "who's the best girl ever???" and b) if she ditched him I think she could do really well.

5: Fart boys - Yawn


Kelly and Christy - How many clues did you misread? Thought they might be competitors until about two minutes into episode 1.

1. Dallas and Toni – They aren’t a dysfunctional family so they’re a bit boring for TV, but they’re a strong team who complements each other. I loved watching Dallas interacting with the Indian children – and they loved him too.

2. Nick and Starr – Nick’s smirks and smugness really bug me still, but they race really well together. The way Nick brags about their little white lies is annoying, but it’s good strategy. Lying outright pisses other teams off, but they knew when to shift gears from withholding information to working with another team.

3. Sarah and Terrence – Okay we saw the competitor in Terrence come out this week, but he was really disgusting. But man did I LMAO every time he complained! Sarah was pretty funny too. I actually think they were in a lot more pain than they even let on.

4. Ken and Tina – They worked well together this leg and it was nice to see them overcome the two weakest teams and even help Dan and Andrew. Tina’s still a shrew and I found Ken’s barking like a circus shrill while giving out Holy Water at the Sikh temple to be disrespectful. He didn’t know it was holy water so it goes to show you that he really depends on Tina during the race and/or he doesn’t listen to what she says!

5. Andrew and Dan – The magic of editing or something is wrong when I find myself cheering for the fart boys to beat the divorcees!

Philiminated: Kelly and Christy – Wow, did Kelly really get nailed at the Holi Festival! They were scrappy and supported each other but made one stupid mistake after another all season long. You can only misread a clue so many times before it finally catches up to you. I actually wished we could have had a double elimination this week of stupid racers

I don't understand why some give Ken and Tina the credit they don't really deserve....they are the classic example of why marriages fall apart...there are only 3 teams out of the 11 that REALLY impress me....they don't whine, complain, yell at each other, and team together to get the tasks done and not finish last:

1) Nick and Starr
2) Toni and Dallas
3) Andrew and Dan

It will come down to these three in the end and I predict (this can change after viewing the next episodes) the following finish with all on the mat and Phil declaring it in this order :

1) Andrew and Dan
2) Nick and Star
3) Toni and Dallas

I can't believe we are down to so few already! And only a couple are actually deserving of winning. I loved CTGirl's post and agree with her comments most of all.

1. Dallas & Toni – Team Oedipus Really nice people and they work really hard. I'm really impressed with her - she keeps putting down her abilities but she is keeping up with her son and besting lots of others! Go Toni! I do hope she has her own life stateside though, and is not living her life through her son. She has even more to offer!

2. Nick & Starr - Their snarky comments aside, these two are actually running a race. I don't have a problem with "little white lies" - they certainly don't need to tell other teams any helpful info, but when they play dirty I don't like it. I DO LOVE how she just ran through the pastels - past the group and barely got hit, vs Kelly's inane repeated running right through the worst of it! Good job!

3. Ken & Tina - Impressive effort this week. Loved that they caught up and passed two teams. (yes, Ken should have been more respectful or at least paying attention during the speed bump.) Kept their wits about them more than they usually do, and clearing the road in front of the cab was a great idea - thank gawd they lived to tell the tale But no one has ever shown that much initiative on the race before - when it comes to slow cabs. Wished they hadn't dilly dallied showing Dan and Andrew the numbers so long - should have been racing to the pit stop!

b]4. Terence & Sarah – Terence is just amazing! He just keeps outdoing himself! "I got hurt" from powder up his nose?!!! My GAWD what a pansy A$$! And then he was trying to shove water up his nose. What is he? 3?!!!!?? Sarah - move on! And the fact he made her put her hands in bird do dah to find the clue was beyond belief! She was so ridiculous too - pulling out the "litter trays" to look for the clue. Yeesh! Barefoot in India in a bird shelter! Isn't that like triple cooties? Two doofus's! They just might win this thing - ala Flo and Zach, but then RUN SARAH RUN!

5. Andrew & Dan – How can these numbskulls still be in this thing? They keep talking about how smart they are and how hard they work - they are inept! I don't know how they function in life either. They are so unobservant and lackluster, but their self-esteem is right up there! Jeez!

Philiminated: Kelly & Christy – Ah what a sad day when such a deserving pair of racers gets eliminated. . . ! NOT! What a couple of b%$%$$ - always going on and on about how fabulous and smart they are, and saying horrible things about other people, and then they are inept to boot! Can't believe how many times they screwed up a clue, and the number of times they suddenly thought they needed to find an extra clue! (like digging in the sand for hours during that boat challenge.) I agree, their husbands probably ran away from them, and they probably met in a post divorce support group! Good riddance!

Another India episode, but I don't care. India's huge, beautiful, fairly American-friendly and funky as all get out.

1. Nick & Starr: I'm okay with their telling little white lies to get past other teams. This is a race for $1 million and if I were there, I would be mighty tempted to do the same. Not saying that I'd lie, but still . . .

2. Toni & Dallas: I really like them, but I think they need to show a lot more personality. They're almost forgettable.

3. Ken & Tina: When they're hot, they're hot. This team was smart this week, and smarts makes up for annoying.

4. Andrew & Dan: OMG, when will they lose? Andrew needs to pick his jaw off the ground and Dan needs a Valium. Christy's comment about pausing a make-out session to pace is the quote of the season!

5. Terrence and Sara: I would write something, but I have to go. My husband insists that I dig through a huge pile pigeon litter.

Wow i can't believe i made it here before sunday.

Okay lets see

1) Nick & Starr - There doing really great, and I was glad they worked with Toni & Dallas to get the detour done.

1) Toni & Dalls - They get first place as well, because I think right now they are my favorites to win, just about as equal with Nick & Starr

3) Ken & Tina - I like them because they are real compitetiors and I think they can keep up with the best of them.

4) Terrance & Sarah - Just here because I can't stand the frat boys.

5) Andrew & Dan - The worst male team in history of TAR, including from Eric & James

Eliminated - Kelly & Christy - Kandice and Dustin they were not, but they were better than other female teams.

Hmmm, I might be the first person all season to do this but...

1. Terence/Sarah-- Oh, they are definitely one of the most dysfunctional couples ever to appear on this race, but I found them rather entertaining and even somewhat endearing this week. I came around similarly with Nate and Jen last season-- watching them meltdown and get eliminated in Taiwan on Jen's birthday was the perfect payoff after weeks upon weeks of build-up. I guess you can attribute this ranking to Schadenfreude...

2. Ken/Tina- Nice comeback this week! I am really impressed with how this team is racing, they seemed in such high spirits at the speed bump even though it must have been tremendously frustrating to be so far behind. In any case, they were proactive and never gave up. Unfortunately, they helped the lame frat boys, which was stupid, so they can't take back the top spot this week.

3. Toni/Dallas- I don't care about this team at all. They are boring. They say nothing interesting or funny. They are complete non entities. Give me something that makes me care whether or not they go all the way, and perhaps they'll finally get to #1.

4. Nick/Starr- This team is boring, too. They are a little bit smug for my liking... none of their schemes have actually helped them one iota. It's silly and childish. Still, they work well as a team and are a force to be reckoned with.

5. Andrew/Dan- Quite possibly the worst casting decision ever made by this show (OK, OK, I find them a lot more bearable than BJ/Tyler and Eric/Danielle).Still, they are a snooze to watch at their best, but generally just plain annoying and uncomfortable to watch.

1. Dallas & Toni - Totally underrated at the beginning of the season, these two know how to race and enjoy themselves and their time with the other racers doing it! Smart move to team up with Nick & Starr to find the numbers, definitely a task that favored cooperating teams.

2. Nick & Starr - The clear favorites to win, with so many first place finishes, and that puts a target on their backs as serious competitors. In spite of that, they're not too snotty (just a bit).

3. Ken & Tina – Good job going from last with a speed bump to overcome to get back into the pack. Considering their personalities, it's almost a surprise they haven't imploded yet. Tina would get on just about anybody's nerves within 5 minutes, but Ken seems to want a lifetime of it. To each their own, I suppose.

4. Terence & Sarah - I like Sarah, except that she likes Terence. Another to each their own, I suppose, but he needs to grow up.

5. Andrew & Dan - How are these guys still in the race, inept as they are? Oh, I almost forgot - it's because...

Philiminated: Kelly & Christy - Even more inept than Andrew & Dan, and by far the uglier Americans. By all appearances, neither wants to get married again, and anyone seeing them this season wouldn't be the slightest bit interested.

1. Toni and Dallas- Yes they aren't the most exciting team but they are nice. I hope they do beat Nick and Star (in the final leg =)

2. Ken and Tina- She is so annoying but as some other posters have said, they managed to stay calm and catch up even with the speed bump.

3. Nick and Starr- They are good racers but kinda get on my nerves.

4. Sarah and Terrence - At least they provide some drama and are a competitive team unlike...

5. Dandrew- Wow are they lucky. I don't know if they ever would have finished without Tina telling them. I hope they don't last much longer.

Sayonara Kelly and Christy. Wow you were horrible at reading clues. The paint attack was so funny to watch.

Not much change in this week

1. Toni/Dallas (2) - I finally have to put them in first. They did not do any particular thing to impress me this episode, but their consistent strong finish and good relationship with each other prove they are a good team.

2. Terence/Sarah (3) - They did better this leg. Search for the clue in bird cage is a bit stupid, maybe they overestimate the difficulty of the task? So far I think this is the most interesting team in this season.

3. Ken/Tina (4) - It's nice to see them overcome the Speedbump and finish in 4th. Tina's hair is really impressive and much suit to her clothes! Maybe she could learn about this efficient dying technique!

4. Nick/Starr (5) - They are doing very well so far. But I think the only reason is because they don't need to drive themselves and they are lucky with cabs. Really doubt if they could keep this performance without luck.

5. Dan/Andrew (6) - I can't wait to see them go. They are dumb and not competent, like Karli/Kami to me, so maybe they will go next.

Philiminated - Kelly/Christy (1) - They made every mistakes they could make in this leg, otherwise they should beat Andrew/Dan. They did better than I expected in this season, so at least they have achieved something in this race.

1.Dallas & Toni- Best of a weak lot

2.Terence & Sarah- Dislike them less than the teams below.

3.Andrew & Dan- Only thing "Amazing" about them is that they are still here.

4.Nick & Starr- Spoiled brats

5.Ken & Tina- Ugly American Team.

Week Seven Rankings


Heading North

As the number of teams grows smaller, movement on the list is slowing down – Dallas & Toni retain the title of most lvoed team and for the second week in a row, Nick & Starr are the runners up. Ken & Tina take over the third place slot vacated by the eliminated Kelly & Christie.

Heading South

Andrew & Dan may be perpetually in second to last place on the actual race but get last place on our lvoe lists. Terence & Sarah whine their way to fourth place.
