Just saw on "TVShowsonDVD.com" that official word regarding the Amazing Race Season 1 DVD set is officially available for pre-order. Seems the official release date is Sept. 27. Link below:

Cool. We have a release date. 4 discs...hmmm...$39.95 (suggested price)....hmm.....

Wonder if amazon.com will match DVD Planets $27.97 or DeepDiscountDVD $28.80 discount price. (IIRC, amazon has no sales tax and free shipping).

Can't wait.

ETA: Wal-Mart has lowest price @ $24.38 so far (BUT, Sales Taxes Apply!!!)

Does anyone know how long each show runs on the DVD?

Watching TAR5-7 on CBS and OLN I would say I saw about 45 minutes of show per hour. Watching TAR1 on GSN I would say I am only getting 40 minutes at best per hour.

I am wondering what the length of a show that does not need cutting out for ads will be. Please say a full hour!!!! ;)

For those who were members and thinking of ordering the DVD through them, Columbia House has taken TAR off their list of inventory. I received a letter from them notifying me that they cancelled my pre-order, and you cannot find it on their website.

TAR 1 can be queued on Netflix with a Sep 27 release.
