We finally got to the merge on this week's episode of Survivor 44, and in the episode we learned the new merge tribe name is Va Va. It's a moniker Yam Yam Arocho told EW he was going to lobby for if he made it that far in the game. And he did… and he did.

But there was more to what happened than we saw on TV. Va Va was not the only name put to the tribe for consideration. It turns out the Carson Garrett also submitted a nominee for discussion, but the votes didn't go his way. But not unlike a mystery wrapped in an enigma packed deep inside of a question mark, there's even more to this scene than meets the eye.

When Carson tells his tribe that his suggestion of "Asan" means "well-being" in Fiji, that is a total lie. What is the actual significance of Asan? Carson told us right before the season began filming.

Any idea on the nature of the challenge. If it involves strength then Kane and Brandon would be the favorites but since they are seen with Jaime and Heidi, we have to assume one of Red or Black wins. I'd go with Danny and Lauren.

Unfortunately so far NO previews of the Immunity Challenge.

This REWARD Challenge looks like the exact same challenge used for Immunity in Season 43 Episode 7

This must be the Immunity Challenge for S44 Episode 8 even though this is the next day after Tribal Council.

Immunity Challenge: Pairs of castaways raced through a twisted cylindric rope tunnel, dug up puzzle planks and a flag, and returned to their mat. The first four pairs to finish moved on while the last two were eliminated. The remaining teams raced up a cargo net with their puzzle planks and used them to cross a bridge and raced to their mat. The first two teams to finish moved on, while the last two teams were eliminated. In the final section, the last four castaways competed individually, holding onto a rope handle attached to a bucket containing 25% of their body weight as of the beginning of the game. If the rope unspooled, the bucket would break a tile, and that castaway would be eliminated. The last standing castaway won immunity.

    Yeah I enlarged that image too and was looking at the Pairs and them walking out of camp and I'm pretty sure it must be Lauren wearing the Immunity Necklace as you point out.
