He played 10 seasons between 1980 and 1990 in the NHL with the NY Rangers and the LA Kings. He never scored more than 6 goals in the goal happy decade of the 80s but had 100 minutes or more of penalties three times. He played on defense and then became a commentator for the Kings' game on radio. He's apparently 87th on the list of the 100 best Rangers which tells us about the poor quality of most Rangers teams over the years!

He could very well keep his identity secret if he wishes but why would he?
