Same luxurious resort as last season. David lost 15-20 lbs and also hurt his knee in the hanging challenge. Says his biggest mistake was aligning with people before he knew them well enough. (In his Day After clip, he also mentions that he tends to over-analyze things, and that's why he lost the duel -- he spent too much time on the base.)

He says the only person he would be disappointed in having to spend time with at Ponderosa is Phillip....so would be ironic if that's what happens next.

It took me a minute to remember that the TC David s going to is the one we've already seen, where Julie gets voted out.

Sadly, the Ponderosa won't typically give us any hints of the weather or timeline of the next cycle, because the new juror is out after the duel and back rwo nights later -- only to see someone sent to RI and not to the jury.

The next duel should be Mike, Matt, Julie, so no chance of Phillip.

I'm thinking they do a double vote out (sequential) at TC, to avoid the double tribal that was not going to work well in Ep 11. With only one TC in the episode, and a second IC maybe performed at TC -- they can fit in a duel. That way they can do the family visit in Ep 12 where it belongs.

Oh yes, how quickly I forgot about the need for another double boot most likely as you note, in the next episode. So, with Rob commenting on you have to know the right person to vote out at the right time, could indeed spell a demise of the first Ometepe. More likely then, we will see one of Ralph/Steve go, with either Phillip or Andrea...this will be GOOD! Thanks for bringing that up, OFG.

And, Squid, thanks for making a thread for the Insider clips. I just watched them all. I just love them, as they offer so much more to the show. Here are some of my thoughts....

First of all, so many were in regard to Phillip...all sick and tired of him, but Nat and Rob point out his usefulness...with him around, we are all ok...

Rob manipulates him to go off on the Zaps, in ways that help him out...he's come full circle with Phillip and now loves him. His using the full circle quote when Phillip was quoted the same thing yesterday when he had his meditation confessional, makes me think that Rob had confided this to Phillip, and we here Phillip echo the same thing. He's like a mouthpiece for the Robfadda...

Phillip has a clip where he admires Andrea, his little helper...makes me wonder if he will vote for her, should he get on the jury?

The clip with Matt on RI, noting that he wanted to go home when he returned after his second boot, and that he was feeling so weak and defeated, and thought of his father, brother, friends, and what God would want, made him recommit to still being in the game....this confessional clearly, imo, comes AFTER what we are going to see next week....in the preview promo we see his darkest day when he hits rock bottom...I would bet that is immediately the day after he is voted out again. Manipulation of the editing, again....

Grant was good with Matt going to RI again, and should he come back, they will get him right out again....

I think David will vote fairly and justly, and honor the best strategy to win the game, I do not think he'll be an emotional voter.

Definitely agree that David will focus on best overall game/best strategy vs. who he's friends with, etc.

I agree, I thought the same thing about weather, etc. Ponderosa is not going to be much help this season. I am looking forward to David's post-game interviews, though.

Re double boot: Jeff said in EW that there will be a twist at next TC that will catch everyone off guard, so that must be it.

That does not sound like there will be a second IC. Maybe they will just be told they have to vote out another person like the Rebecca and Jenny episode. There wouldn't be time to set up a surprise blindside so most likely we will just see Steve and Ralph leave.

And Jeff will gloat that it was all Zap's own fault for throwing the early challenge.

Loved seeing the Ponderosa Clips!! What a nice place for them to stay. Much better than in some seasons.

David, I think, will be a GREAT juror. Can't wait to see him cross-examine the Final DAWs!
