Summary slots, step right up and get your summary slots here.

I'll take care of Survivor, it would be great if someone could start something up for TAR.

Looks like the schedule should be:

Ep 1. Feb 8th
Ep 2. Feb 15th
Ep 3. Feb 22nd
Ep 4. Mar 1st
Ep 5. Mar 8th
Ep 6. Mar 15th
RECAP Mar 22nd (has been this week the last couple of seasons)
Ep 7. Mar 29th
Ep 8. Apr 5th
Ep 9. Apr 12th
Ep 10. Apr 19th
Ep 11. Apr 26th
Ep 12. May 3rd
Ep 13. May 10th
Ep 14. Sunday May 13 with Reunion following.

The Ford Sweepstakes games usually ends on Thursday, but the last one ends on the weekend, and that would fit with Sunday May 13 being the finale, since that means it would end one week before the finale and the winner is supposed to be getting to go to the finale, and 8 days makes more sense than less than 24 hours later.

Anywho. Summary writers for Survivor should have previous summary writing experience on the site for some other show.

Right now I'll start out with pick the date(s) you want (and list summary experience as that would be helpful, don't make me dig up your summary history ).

we will see how things go, right now since it is less than a week out I'm thinking first dibs go to the first 14 who sign up. (unless we get more than 14 people by Monday evening, then I'll be pulling some names out of the hat to fill in the schedule).

It's my first time doing this, please be gentle with me. Also if something comes up and you can't do your slot let me know (or everyone by posting on this thread) ASAP and we can get a substitute.

I'd prefer not to take a slot if I'm keeping track of this, but we will see how it goes.

ETA: PS if someone wants the recrap episode, great, and if the peeps for the episode or two after that can be flexible if they don't want a recrap recap then that would be extra special.

ETA2: PS looking at SOTS sign up there may also be a March Madness break, so that may shift things toward the end of the season as well.

I will do one, but please make it one of the later ones, say after episode 11.

I did the recrap and episode 13 of the last Survivor game, and episode 12 or 13 of the game before that, plus 2 for the simple life and 1 for TAR.

I'll do the March 1 episode (episode 4)

I've done summaries for Survivor, Amazing Race, Last Comic Standing, Hell's Kitchen (one each) and multiple summaries for Biggest Loser. (at least four)

Sure, count me in! I'd ideally prefer the March 8 or 15 slot as that's our spring break week and it'll be less busy for me.

Or towards the end of the season as late April/early May will be better for me.

I would like to write a summary. I've written Survivor, TAR, BB, AI, and The Simple Life summaries.

I would prefer an episode later in the season because I am very busy right now (with school and writing the SOTS).


Three is the perfect number.

Whew, glad to see so many peeps coming out for this..

One big slot that we really need filled ASAP is Ep. 1.

I know that is a biggie (having done Ep. 1 for TAR last fall) but I know someone here is up to the task!

I'm not sure if I can do this but I'm passing along a request to write a summary from "Aruba" who posts only on Fanatics and Basher. He'd like to do one summary around March 15th. He did a late season one for Big Brother All-Star. I'd let him know if you have that space open.

For some reason that april just before tax time isn't filling right up?

What, people don't need a distraction that takes up enough time they can justify to themselves filing for an extension?

I'm seeing if I can get my taxes done this weekend. With the fence the refund check is already spent so I probaby need to get that ASAP. Hopefully it will be a good one, I had some expenses last year that should make it a decent sized check.

I can do one. The only weeks I'm not available are April 5 through April 19. Otherwise, I'm flexible.

ETA I've done summaries for Survivor, TAR, Apprentice, Big Brother, America's Got Talent, and that show about the kids trying to get a college scholarship.

I'll do Episode 2, if it's still available. I have a lot of papers due later in the semester, so the earlier the better. That, and you'll probably want to fill up the beginning of the schedule before it's too late.

Actually things went worse than expected and my husband ended up in the ICU. I had to remain near the hospital obviously, and had to stay with family as it's rather far from where I live. All is OK now but we just got back home and I'm pretty beat. I apologize again and as soon as I rest my brain a little I'll pull up my draft and finish it ...

I feel bad because last season I had the hand injury. Arghh.
But I guess the moral is you sign up in good faith and sometimes things happen ... and you have to say, on this side is life and death atuff and on the other side is a commitment to a Survivor summary, so the summary has to be second priority. You know? But I still felt bad I didn't finish Saturday. And I WILL get it done ASAP.

Thanks for getting that done even with everything going on in your life.

You do seem to have the worst luck about the weeks you sign up for.

Webby usually finds them and moves them over. Oftentimes I've emailed him to let him know when I've posted one so he doesn't have to search for it.

I'll probably pop him an email when the survivor summaries go up as the season goes on, but if anyone notices their summary hasn't made it to the Episode Summary page in a timely fashion it doesn't hurt to give Webby a heads up.
