DUDES

1. Ralph= loud funny guy, no bs, in your face badda bing badda boom.. definitely a party animal

2. Michael= crafty jew who uses the appearance of a sheep to hide the heart of a wolf..flies under the radar, could do well in the Borgia court

3. Anthony= egocentric vain "artiste" in denial who reminds me of Pink Floyd's "Time".. peers in the mirror looking for wrinkles and gray hairs

4. Adrian= I knew a guy like this once.. basically good hearted, but wounded and a little boy inside (oh wait, is that Tony?), but has women issues (domineering mother?)

5. Tony= a good guy with sex guilt (Catholic?), repressed but "acts out" like a freak at times who is gonna be f++d over by Laura the sleaze, and actually gets hurt by it

6. Darin= not mauch of a read yet, but seems pretty mellow and more of a "pretty boy" who generally gets his way

7. Greg= not much of a read yet, seems like a regular frat type guy.. which means he will definitely ##### people over

8. Bob= aging beach bum.. jesus where did you get that hair? stop with the weird combover already

CHICKS

1. Andrea= not much of a read, seems okay, kind of like that Sarah Jessica Parker.. average girl who likes to party.. just kind of "there"

2. Jeanette= issues with race identity.. is latina but is often mistaken for black.. waiting to see what she did to piss bug-eye Toni off so much.. basically wants a very middle-of-the-road life (mortgage etc)

3. Lisa= major self-pity loser issues.. no man, no child, etc etc and my god i'm almost 40.. frigid but could be a major sex freak with the right guy (yo!hey Ralphie! Bondage ovah heah!)

4. Melissa= seems like a quiet sweetie, but I bet she is into major weird stuff.. the quiet ones always are.. think she may surprise us

5. Tomiko= kinda looks half black, half asian.. man I like her looks the best of all (groan..WOOF! awooo!), and butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.. but i sense some treachery in her character

6. Laura= Not as hot as she and everyone thinks.. skanky little attention freak.. yeah SURE she's a photographer LOL.. what, she's taking a class for it at the community college?

7. Gina= used to being center of attention and bitchy when she doesn't get it.. rather mean-spirited

8. Toni= comes off like a scary bouncer at a lesbo club, but that body is her armor.. actually the most tender-hearted of all the women.. but don't piss her off or she'll kill ya

Man, I sound a little harsh I guess. I know I gotta be wrong, yeah? Everybody has good and bad, though most people seem to go whichever way the wind blows..But you know what? All of these people look good.. and damnit, isn't THAT what's important???

-Michael (Shakes the Clown) is Jewish right? Is he not crafty by his own admission? Perhaps it is the juxtaposition of those two terms that sounds bad? I apologize if this is so.. my mentor is Jewish and he calls himself a Jew.. and Michael and Lisa were the ones who made being Jewish a point of discussion when they talked about being rejected during the first selection

I feel pretty sure that race definitely was involved. That's why Tomiko and Adrian bonded even though the chemistry wasn't really there. It was like, "oh..so it's like THAT huh?" That's why they started with the injokes on white people, and why they made reference to how they felt they were going to be quickly voted off.

I definitely could relate to how Mike felt standing there. I'm a big ugly dude, uglier than Mike, and 6'2", 270 lbs, built like a gorilla through genetics. Kids like me, and women shrink from me in horror

***I won't pretend that they don't exist... but I'm tired of people making them issues... that includes people that complain about them, people that assume that everything is race related, and people that are just ignorant... I can honestly say that if I'd been on that show (at least with what I've seen of it), my first choice would have been Tomiko (and I'm as white as they come)... I'm not saying that the same is true for other white people, or that there were not race reasons behind the coupling, but I would like to think that others would have given her a chance, and it was unfortunate that neither of her first two choices were interested.

Adrian was so convinced that no other female would be interested, that he went to the one that had chosen him (albeit, as a third choice)... none of the other guys would dare step in and break up a couple that wanted to stay together, so no other guys even tried... did you see how quickly Adrian ran to Tomiko??? No other guy had a chance... too bad for her. The same situation was true for Laura with Anthony.

***Yes she was!!! Not by one specific guy, in the first episode where she got to choose, but when the guys had the choice, Mike went straight to her!... just because one guy rejected her, doesn't mean that she was never selected... I'm sure that every girl has experienced rejection at some point.

***Have they really bonded... I think that Adrian believes that he has no choice, but I would bet that Tomiko wants out. From the previews, we see that eventually Tomiko and Mike will be paired up... the question is will that happen before or after needy Adrian heads to loser island...

Unfortunately, with a cast of 16, it's impossible to get a true crossection of the American public... if they chose to have an all white cast, or an all black cast, or an all Jewish cast, or an all anything cast, people would cry racism... I think that the producers did a good job of finding people with distinct personalities that represent a broad crossection of America.

If these people were in a real-life environment, they would have many more people to choose from. But with only 8 to choose from, I'm not surprised that a few have chosen to date people similar to themselves (especially the "old Jews").

Before you, or anyone else cries racism, let's see what happens... and even if they end up losing, look at their actions before you judge the color of their skin... it's the same way that I will judge the situation.
