>Nothing can hide from the eye of a HAWK, except how to turn links into text, where is that html manual!!!

Okay... here's the quick review (everyone taking notes???... there's gonne be a quiz):

Step one, find the site you want to link to.

If the site is http://www.survivorblows.com then write that down without the http:// (This gets replaced with "link:")

Now, just fill out the following form, as shown here:

{link:www.website.com|Link Name}

But remember to use square brackets (the ones beside the P on your keyboard) instead of "{" and "}"

For Example:

{link:www.survivorblows.com|Hardcore Porn}

would generate the following:

Hardcore Porn

Okay... good luck... this concludes our html tutorial.

You never know what might be up my sleeeve...

Thanks to you both, Hawkeye and Sleeeve
for keeping our site updated and happening and for the useful html lesson, which was definitely news to me.

Open Revolt, I guess that's the right term. Of course since we have no power whatsoever, I feel more like someone who brandished a bumper sticker than a revolutionary storming the dictator's stronghold.
*Sigh*
We let our discontent be known, i.e. we whined, and proud of it.
On the bright side, AyaK's power to threaten the writers if they don't meet future deadlines--pretty much gone "pouf" I hope we all agree.

Shiny Buttons Tutorial

Sleeeve's seminar was so good that it inspired me to contribute something as well...

How many times have we all said to ourselves:

'Hmmmmm... I sure would like to make a big shiny button as a link!'

Well now you can!

It's very similar to what Sleeeve just showed you with the text links. The rule about removing the http: part of URLs still applies and the general format is as follows:

[a href="URL of Link"][/a]

For example:

[a href="//www.1avenue.com/blowsvivor"][/a]

Produces:

Optional tags (inserted after the img src URL):

border="0" turns off that horrible purple border...
alt="Pop Up Message Text" provides a little graphic pop up that will appear when your mouse is over the graphic...

For example:

[a href="//www.1avenue.com/blowsvivor"][/a]

Produces:

Official Blowsvivor Website

Try putting your mouse over the graphic to see the pop up...

Now you, too, can amaze your family and friends and be the biggest geek on your block!

Thus endeth lesson number two...
