If you're going to travel around in two buses just to make sure you can throw people under them at need, you kind of have to expect a few fatalities from the weight of the wheels.
Kind of makes you wonder if they'll ever bother mentioning what happened.
*sigh* As far as the show goes, I think we can put away any and all delusions about Bret really finding someone: he will find someone when VH1 stops offering him future contracts in the event of current failure. This is two buses, one loaded with blondes, one with brunettes (no redheads or ravens?), and none containing anyone who's actually interested in him. At this point, people come on VH1 reality shows for the same reason they appear on The Real World: to get on the perpetual appearance cycle and work their way up their own dating show -- where no one will be interested in them either.
Let the stupidity begin.

R.I.P. No one should ever die from proximity to DAWing.

I heard Mindy, the twin sister of Survivor Guatemala's Cindy Hall is on the cast. She'll probably ride off with a bus!

There was a Mindy, but I couldn't tell you much about her. She kind of got lost in the flood of people serving drinks from various portions of their anatomy.'Shot-bearing hips.' Well, if that's what you're looking for someone to give birth to...

W....T...F was THAT? I breathed a huge sigh of relief when Bret said he was cutting five bimbos. There are about five more that need to go before my eyes and ears won't bleed while watching. As the Penthouse pet said, it's a sad state of affairs when she's the most normal one there.Beverly has Kristi Jo written all over, divorced or not.
Either Juliet-Lewis look-alike or Appalacian girl needs to go next.

That? Was your basic train wreck. Based on that horror known as Previous Experience, I thought he was going to keep Unmentionable Drink Server and There Are Other Reasons Not To Climb Trees Y'Know. And keep them for about six more episodes. Maybe he's learning...
Still trying to figure out how the blue bus wound up being more-or-less sane.

Brand new levels of low. Gia "Gee what a handy way to hold a test tube shot AND keep both hands free" and Nikki "Gee standing up straight while this tanked is hard" have forever burned their image in the DAWs Hall of Fame. I think when you managed to gross out a Penthouse Pet, a porn star, several strippers and Bret Michaels with your antics, it's time to go home.
Of course this won't stop me from watching.

I'd forgotten that I Tivo'd this show this week until I saw the thread going. Holy cow, this show is a train wreck worse than the previous two. Too funny. I can't wait to see which of the clips ends up on The Soup this weekend. There were 3 or 4 that were Soup-worthy. LOL!Geeze I love this show. But don't tell anyone. It's a secret.

He eliminated the vagina shot girls?
Perhaps a bold feminist statement?

lol....would you believe "I" was getting claustrophobic on the pink bus and i was only watching....i was pushing my elbows out around me.
but the shocker to me? about halfway through the FIRST episode bret narrates...."this first day was something"....i thought that was only the FIRST freakin day????
thank gawd they got a hotel room.
heres why i give bret some credit...how in the world does he manage to sound so sincere NOW 3 rocks of loves later when he looks into these crazy womens eyes and says "i understand"...
i literally laugh out loud.
he must be a great actor.
so i'll keep watching because its still cringeworthy.

And this week, Bret took a giant step backwards and went back to keeping people for drama. They're getting worse. All of them are getting worse. Plus drunker. We can't forget the ever-increasing alcohol level. No matter how much it makes them forget, it won't return the favor for us...

I was really surprised he kept Brittnay (sp?) and that other blonde. Brittnay has already come across as super needy, and the other blonde (Melissa?) has already had two talks with him about maybe wanting to go home.

The good news is that belly-dancer is gone. The bad news is that Brittney is still there. Seriously, why keep her nutty aras? She's not even nice to look at. She reminds me of a washed up circus performer.

Part of the funny for me when I catch bits of this show has always been his forever-bandana'd / hatted look. This time I caught part of the "vows" and it seemed he had a very false looking blonde wig covering the top of his head "behind" the full forehead bandana. It had that glossy look of my old Barbie dolls; hair, literally. That sort of one piece of blond silicone sewn down the middle with clear plasticine thread vibe....Anyone catch that?

One of the contestants might have: according to the previews, someone may get tossed next week for (among other things) saying Bret has fake hair.

*looks up at smokeysmom* That was her? I'm eagerly awaiting the moment where Brett turns into a beeyotch next week. He made me laugh this week with, "I'm not sure which is more sad: that her family heriloom is a $2 bill or that she gave it to me" ...or something to that effect.

I'm thinking he just sews the wig into each do rag so it's easier to put on in a hurry.
He's finally admitted to extensions but it's been a long rumor that he got a bad hair plug job in the late 90's. Hence the do rag of forever.

I am practically giddy with how awesomely awful this show is. I've watched all three and this one just seems to take it to whole nubba level! Weeeeeeee! Bring on the gold eye glitter and tequila!

I, too, am finding this one awesomely trashy. Brittaney is, indeed, a total stalker but then it is hard not to feel a teensy bit sorry for her. Also, her body is not so bad, but her personality is pathetic.

Loved the vows. It is clearly important to Brett that he be allowed to hit it from behind.

It sort of seems to be the Penthouse Pet who points out Bret's fake hair, but I'm not sure. That would be pretty interesting.

Todd, I totally agree with you that it's Taya who points out the fake hair. I slowed the elimination clip down, paused it and it seems to be a brunette with wavy hair in the front row that everyone is pointing to.

Wow, what a trip that sock porn woman is. Glad to see her go. I was also happy to see the last girl stay though. She and the Penthouse chick seem the most "real" of the bunch. Speaking of real, seriously, did Brett tell the last girl to keep it real? I understand her wanting to just lay low in the strip club. Really was it necessary for him to see all those girls on his date up on the stage and dancing like strippers? Sheesh.
That being said, I still love this stupid show. LOL!
Sorry, so bad with names today.

LOL I really like her because she refuses to act like a slutty piece of trash to get him to like her. Good for her. She's probably to good for him.

On the other hand, coming on this show and expecting that Bret won't try to get your clothes off is like showing up on Survivor and asking 'So when do they serve the steaks?'
"Double standard"
Posted by flystorms on 01-25-09 at 10:23 PM
So explain something to me.Bret can stick his tongue down any or all of the remaining girls' throats, but Beverly gets called out for a lack of respect for a quick kiss with the drummer? No tongues were involved. Seriously, it was a quick kiss. To me, she's the only sane one left, which means she won't last much longer.
Amber is sure a piece of work, isn't she?
Marcia needs rehab. Sad girl.
Gawd, I love this show!!! LOL!
"Give it away now."
Posted by Estee on 01-26-09 at 07:48 AM
The public reason for Marcia going home: despite her being a perma-drunk whose only issue with the hour when you start drinking is that she has to sleep sometime, she has a good heart and gave away a token of Bret's non-affection to someone who would really appreciate it. Bret cannot publicly stand women who aren't catty and hateful. The private reason for Marcia going home: that whole perma-drunk thing.
Hello, Charm School. (Celebrity Rehab is a long way off.)
Beverly isn't quite the only sane one left: Taya and Mindy also have moments of lucidity -- and Taya may be the most intelligent person in the group. So naturally, I'm looking for the three of them to go next, possibly in that order.
I am now watching for one reason: to see the moment when Ashley and Farrah get tossed off the bus, preferably in a single catty, clawing package. And to have each one's elimination be the other's fault.
And as for our medical elimination -- did we ever get to know her? Was she ever shown as anything more than a background prop? A confessional? A moment of speech? An hour of public embarrassment?
Well, at least Bret dropped by the hospital. Or some hospital. Somewhere...
"RE: Give it away now."
Posted by eire_heart74 on 01-27-09 at 08:47 AM
I couldn't stop laughing when Bret acted so offended that Marcia gave away his gift to his fan. Hello Bret when you see the tape that she made out with you five minutes after puking, be offended by that! LOLI didn't think it was so bad that she did that. They were clearly a product placement deal. (close up shots on the logo) They didn't cost him a dime. He didn't go out personally picking each piece out for each girl. He had some director or producer say "yeah we got them dresses and some jewelry". Hey maybe they were only loaners. maybe that's why he is pissed!
"Paradigm shift."
Posted by Estee on 02-09-09 at 05:55 PM
I am now beginning the slow, subtle move from waiting for Ashley & Farrah to leave towards patiently waiting for Ashley & Farrah to die.Preferred method of demise: choking on their own venom.
"RE: Paradigm shift."
Posted by arkiegrl on 02-10-09 at 10:47 PM
I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thinks that Ashley & Farrah saying that some of the other girls look like/sound like/must be a dude seems to be a MAJOR case of the pot calling the kettle black. The only thing those two seem to have going for them is their boob jobs.
"RE: Paradigm shift."

When he said he was attracted to Ashley, I realized there was a good chance that up until that moment, he'd never had a conversation with her that lasted for more than thirty seconds.Do any of them ever realize he gets to see the confessionals between the end of the season and the reunion special?

LAST EDITED ON 02-16-09 AT 07:39 AM (EST)And now, my imitation of a Farshley confessional after learning about the death of Bret's friend.
'How can that stupid guy die when I'm in the middle of getting Bret? Didn't he understand how hard it is for me to get his attention off all these stupid bitches? No, this idiot had to go and croak when I'm in the middle of shoving off skanks, and now Bret's all down and junk. What a moron, dying when I'm trying to do something... You know something? I should go down there and kill his widow and kids: then there would be no one left to write those stupid letters, and Bret would pay attention to me again. I should totally go do that. Besides, I'll be doing them a favor. Being a widow or having kids is just so lame.'

Not hateful/disconnected enough?

I rather liked Kelsey, and think the real reason for her elimination is that this week she finally got some alone time with Bret and there was clearly no chemistry there.Final Four: Farrah and Ashley vs. Teya and (aarggH! Only one member of the Blondtourage left, and she isn't going anywhere anytime soon.I am surprised he kicked out Farah before Mindy, Pierceyface or Jamie the anonymous new girl, but Jamie made her move. Still surprised he didn't kick out one of the others.
Farah didn't care about Bret, of course. Most of them don't. I mean, you can't possibly believe that Teya has an ounce of genuine interest in Bret. I shall miss Farah, she was entertaining in her trashy way. Way moreso than, say, pierceyface who looks like she's gonna throw a serious punch next week and get booted.

French Toast!
It looks like Assley FTW! Bret made his decision weeks ago, and all his future decisions up to the finale where she becomes his ROL for the next five weeks will be made based on either a) how they will affect his sex life or b) will they be good TV?
This week, it was rough going for Bret: Farah distracted Assley, but she was good TV. Pierceyface (awesome nickname) is usually baaad TV, but she will bounce up and down on his lap whenever she gets drunk enough. Luckily for us, Bret made a good decision, and pierceyface will make good tv next week when she throws a punch at Heather!
P.S. Who believes that the producers totally pointed out that wandering kid to Assley. That woman is way to self-absorbed to have noticed him by herself. And the fact that she has spawned gives me hives.

It looks like next week's confrontation is Heather vs. Brittanya. I think we have to give Heather the edge on this one. She's spent a couple of seasons waiting to hit someone.
And let's not judge Ashley's child on hir incredible bad luck in mothers. The kid may still have a chance. Ashley, on the other hand...

If we're to believe Bret (which at this point is sort of like believing an infomercial), I got a partial wish: Farrah's elimination was indirectly Ashley's fault. Bret is openly presenting the perspective that Farrah is responsible for Ashley's bad behavior, so getting rid of her will force Good Ashley to appear. Of course, there's just one minor problem with this theory: Good Ashley doesn't exist. She was strangled in her sleep by Bad Ashley at the age of six months. (The kid learned early.)What would really be entertaining in that 'I wonder who'll fire the first bullet?' way would be if Farrah turned out to have been Ashley's brakes. In which case, I figure we've got about five tour days before someone gets set on fire. And Bret won't do anything to stop it, because it's part of the drama.
Bret's perspective on 'the drama' bothers me. He doesn't care about assault, destruction of personal property, or any other criminal acts which might occur between contestants on tour. All he cares about is that no one tells him what's going on, because hearing about the drama is so much worse than having the drama. Hearing things gives him wrinkles. Also, someone might expect him to take action, and how dare they?
You really do have to wonder how self-aware Ashley is. I currently have her somewhere below the average dog. At least when you stick a dog's nose in the general direction of its own mess, the dog might fake feeling bad...

DH and I completely agree about the lack of concern over destroyed clothes and possible/actual assault. I wonder though if it's how the girls present the drama. I have learned when there's 'drama' and it needs to be brought to the attention of a male, it need to be kept as black and white/simple as possible because once you get into your 'feelings' about the drama, it goes in one ear and out the other.
I will miss that absolute mess that is Farrah. And am I mistaken or did Brittania say that she is a mom as well? Holy crap.
I am not sure why, but I always walk away from this show feeling bad, like somehow just watching, I have brought myself to their level and I feel, well, dirty, abused and somehow lesser of a person. Gak.

LAST EDITED ON 03-10-09 AT 07:54 PM (EST)I was surprised to see Farrah go. Just last episode, Bret was saying that he feels really comfortable talking with her and yadda, yadda, yadda... I personally think that he was getting jealous of how close Ashley and Farrah were becoming. Bret probably thought that soon enough Ashley would become more attracted to Farrah than she is to him (there is a small resemblance there!). I am shocked that Brittania is still around. The show has portrayed her to have nothing to offer; their one on one times have made me snore.
I love my Rock of Love Soap Opera!! Shh.

But remember, for Bret, that "friend zone" is the kiss of death. If he starts finding you amusing or liking your conversations, he suddenly can't imagine having sex with you (and what else do you do in a relationship). This is why he didn't pick Heather season 1 (and Jes thought he should have): they were compatible and it killed his buzz.
And I sympathize with your dirty little secret. At a recent family dinner, someone asked what my favorite tv show was. My husband sat across the table, pleading with me with his eyes to lie and say something respectable. When I said, "It's between 'I Love Money' and 'Rock of Love'," I thought my dad was gonna disown me and my husband was going to die of embarassment!
Of course, this was BEFORE the days of Tool Academy...

Last night, Wikipedia was showing what was either an insider information chart (badly done) or someone's best guess at the future. Either way, whoever put it together thought Mindy had moved to the shotgun position -- but the chart is back to normal now. Did you get the impression that Ashley doesn't watch a lot of reality television? Anyone who's bothered to catch a VH1 series -- or just about any romance show for any network -- would know your past almost always gets trotted out at some point. Ashley certainly seemed to believe no one would ever see her confessionals: maybe they forgot to fill her in on the whole deliberate humiliation angle too.
Not that I care. It's Ashley. She's not self-aware enough to be humiliated.

This explains those interviews Bret was giving last month where he was basically telling Jennifer Aniston to give him a call as soon as that whole Jon Mayer publicity stunt fizzles out.
He's really only shown mild interest in Mindy and Jamie (who looked like a pirate skeleton this episode)and pretty much mild distate for the other two.

Where I was quick to Beverly as the front runner fan favorite of normal, each week reveals just how crazy she really is. She's just better at hiding it. Her hissy fit over the ex not showing was a classic example. Blaming it all on his current girlfriend not letting him. Hey if he has all three of your children, maybe he thought he should be taking care of them! Novel thought I know!

It totally sucks that Ashley got voted off. Definitely shows that Bret isn't really looking for someone compatible. Now he is left with:Beverly--umm, she is super looney. I'd say she is one of the two craziest people of the season. Now we learn she doesn't have custody of her kids. I am about to pick her for the win.
Taya--rivals Megan for the "obvious lack of interest in Bret" award. Also wins the "most hypocritical" award....own your trashy stripperness. That's why I preferred Farah to her, by a mile (though she wasn't into Bret either).
Mindy--sort of a "nice girl" with an edge. She seems awfully normal for Bret.
Jamie--who? This woman has received next to no camera time and has shown little personality. Apparently she has groupie tendencies. I can't believe someone in the final four has received such minimal development.

Definitely shows that Bret isn't really looking for someone compatibleTen points if you can tell me what Ashley is compatible with. Five more if you identify the exact species.
Jamie's the last of the three latecomers, so she's had less time to establish her edit -- and she's also been drowned out in the cries of insanity. Which means she probably goes next.

If Ashley had truly been there for Bret, she could have looked him in the eye & told him so. And I was really hoping she would because she should have been his pick. She was there for the party just like the rest of them. I don't think any of them really want a life with Bret. Just an opportunity for their fifteen minutes. Did two people go home last night?Yes.
What the heck did Ashley do to go?
Admitted to Big John that she was still living with her ex-boyfriend -- which was really the tip of a very large ex-sized iceberg: he came with the intent of dragging her back. And frankly, they're such mutual charmers, they're just about a perfect match. And then she wouldn't look Bret in the eye when he asked if she still wanted her ex or him: done.
Did Heather get a good punch in on Brittanya?
No -- Brittanya tried to hit Heather (and Heather seemed to catch the fist in her own hand), but Heather didn't retaliate.

Yes, I must admit that it's true...Ashley couldn't look Bret in the eye and say she didn't care about her (very bizarre) ex anymore. That is sad, because I still say she cared about him more than any of the others.
And what was the deal with Brittanya? Heather didn't do anything to provoke her, she just went off all nuts. Brittanya should have been mad at her (also very bizarre) ex who was lying about her to Heather and Amber.
Bret has a habit of picking "nice" girls at the end, so I am changing my pick from crazy Beverly to nice girl Mindy (who is probably more of a Jes than an Amber...will she wear panties to their final dinner?)
"RE: So long A-bomb"
Posted by sica077 on 03-21-09 at 03:03 AM
Bret has a habit of picking "nice" girls at the endAgreed, in the end he picks the less wild one, however, neither Jes nor Amber worked out. Unfortunately (for Bret) I think now is the time for him to realize that he is never going to settle down and he should be planning his ROL4 episodes!
On another note, my pick would be Mindy, too. I have liked her since the salsa-in-luggage incident. I am not about drama (in my real life, lol), but if anyone dumped a jar of salsa in my luggage, I would have a hard time acting as calm as Mindy did.

Agreed. I liked Ambre from the word "go" last season! In fact, I was really upset when he almost got rid of her after the first episode. But at the same time, she deserves someone who pays more attention to her instead of his groupies! RoL needs to be one season after another of women who don't deserve anything more that two seconds of reality tv fame. No voting off, just whoever passes out gets left behind.

I agree-I didn't hate Taya, per se, until this episode. I think Mindy is right-Taya wants to be a performer and having Bret on her arm is a bonus for that (I do think she has feelings for him), so this show was perfect for her. And does she get all greased up for her confessionals? She looks like a bottle of baby oil burst on her.

Beverly looked hot, for the first time ever, at this week's elimination. And Bret's reason was weak! But a fourth season? None of the others have done more than 3.

Teya is just not likable in any way. Mindy (who I'm not the biggest fan of, either) had it right when she said Teya was trying to conjure up some display of emotion.
I almost wonder if Teya is rigged to win to help publicize her Pet of the Year issue in Penthouse.

Ok, I am a dork... I found on VH1's website some interview with Taya discussing her Penthouse situation and how there is still a difference between "featured dancer" and "stripper". I can't remember exactly what she said, but it was something to the effect of when Penthouse found out that she was going on the show, they struck up a deal with RoLB in that she could wear their logos and clothing simply as a brand strategy. Apparently this is often done? I know regular tv shows do it (sprint had a workout on 24 last night) but I didn't know that reality shows did it, too.
I still don't really buy it. Nor do I get her appeal... I know she is very pretty, but she reminds me a lot of a barbie doll - proportioned to be naked with nothing inside (except for plastic)

Even if Bret's confessionals are totally scripted -- something I'm really starting to wonder about -- at least his delivery is steadily improving. 'And you wonder why I'm still single' was the funniest line of the night. (Best image: turning around and walking out on the trio before they could see him: no guitar for you.)But as for why he's still single, two words: Season #4. Could one of these F2 work out for him? vh1, how I love thee!
So, they posted their new Charm School cast yesterday and today, half of which is the ROL Bus skanks, and I must say, this is an awesome cast! The possibilities of mixing Farrah and Ashley with Bay 3 and So Hood make me want to squeal with glee.

Well, well, well. As much as I figured he would go for Taya, I am sad for Mindy. Even though Mindy wasn't very good with her words for the most part, Taya really just wasn't convincing enough for me. The fact that Bret even made a comment to the effect of, "Next thing I know, Taya will be wearing a shirt that says 'Penthouse'," is just annoying to me! We have been seeing her in it all season!!

vh1's website had an interview with Beverly a couple of weeks ago where she said that she had gone to see Taya, ahem, "feature dancing". She said it happened to be Taya's "30th" birthday and Beverly was the only person she knew there. Now, I know there is a no contact rule, but seems to me if the romance had lasted, Taya wouldn't have been stripping on her milestone birthday...

Still gotta make a living -- and VH1's no-contact rule has been a little shakier than most since Tiffany drove a truck through it and moved in with her (temporarily) chosen one.Even so, I was still coming in here to take odds on whether they'd broken up yet. (Opening estimate: 100%.)

The rocker and the centerfold. It's like PB&J.
*eye roll* A local station had an interview with Taya this morning, but it was at 9, so I was hard at work by then. I almost care. Can I just say her oobies were the only thing that looked good about her at the finale. I want to shave her eyebrows off and have her start over with them.

Hey, she was just practicing her looks for her Pet of the Year photo shoot! Or maybe you missed that was coming up?

That was a horrible finale. At least I previously felt, for some stupid reason, an emotional attachment that was seriously lacking this go round.Boo. Taya was transparent from the get go. Bark. Bret has always been dumb and continues his pattern of picking women who aren't really into him.
Oh Well. Like I won't watch the next season (others have convinced me it will happen).

of course he'll be back...i mean COME ON...he gets to have sex with all these girls and then be on tv and be famous again. you gotta wonder how many if not ALL of them he actually sleeps with.
i wish one of them would write a book.
i think amber's would be the best because she thinks she is all that and would tell it like she thinks. i personally can't wait for next year...but i wish he would get more of the "daisy" style bimbo's on instead of the momish types like beverly. boring.

Have they broken up yet? Just as much to the point, do we have a casting announcement for Season #4: Rock Of Love Wagon Train?

Did you all see the reunion? Apparently Taya and Brett haven't seen each other in 3 months so they're ready to continue dating. The host (what a dork) teased into one of hte commercial breaks that "...Brett still has the ring, will he use it?" which led to a very visible squirm from both of them. He seemed to be almost more passionate and endearing to Mindy, who he also hadn't seen in 3 months. She's still into him and wishes she'd told him that she loved him. Wow.
Of course there was a girl fight and the blond-tourage drama. Ahh...can't wait until he starts this train wreck up again because he certainly won't stay with Taya after her contract is up. LOL!

Brett was at a local country bar here in Denver last week. Apparently Amber introduced him, and he came on 2 hours late.

The fight, although hard to figure out what was going on, involved Natasha being accused of being a porn actress who's real name was Nathaniel.- Elroy

Other than Constandina, did anyone catch who raised their hands to the who is married/engaged/pregnant question?

I'm not sure if it was crappy hosting/interviewing or crappy editing, but we didn't get to hear much from some key people. When figuring out who started the blondtourage took up ten minutes of airtime, I knew it would be worthless.

I felt sorry for Mindy. She's either really into Bret or a better actress than most of the wannabees.

I finally just caught up and watched the reunion! I feel sorry for Mindy, too. She really seemed earnest (and embarrassed). But I am biased because as much as I like Mindy, I equally hate Taya.
