Is anyone else watching Ruby on the Style Channel? I think she is very sweet- it is sort of refreshing after what The Biggest Loser has turned into.

I'm watching...I like Ruby as well and I look forward to see how her story transpires. I saw a recent interview and she was still in around 350 if I recall correctly. Her lil Yorkies are adorable as well. I couldn't believe the audacity of the jerks at the ocean side patio restraunt! It's incomprehensible to me that people could be so cruel and ignorant with their downright blatant disregard for another person's feelings and their very public prejudice and immature remarks about Ruby. I thought it was very upstanding for Denny (Danny?) to approach them. Im still not sure about the exboyfriend though...does he have ulterior motives just to be on TV or promote his career? I don't know...although he did seem very sincere with her I can't help there's still a bit of a cynic in me...

I'm glad she didn't fall for him again- I liked at the end when she said "I'm falling in love with me". She is sweet!

I dunno, too warm and fuzzy for my taste.

Does anyone else think that she is EXTREMELY whiny? While I admire her deeply, and give kudos for going through her experience on national (albeit cable) TV, I feel as if most people are afraid to say anything negative about her. She is constantly saying "You guuuuuyyyyys" to her enabling friends in a long, slow, ear-piercing drawl.

OTOH, the theme song has been in my head for days: "I CAN, if I think I can...I CAN!"

She is kind of annoying and charming at the same time.

"No memories?"

So, Ruby has no memories before the age of 13? What happened to her parents? Siblings? relatives of any kind? Neighbors? Teachers? Friends?

I would think there would be easier ways to get some clues than to tour old homes. Geeze. Speaking of home...Ruby has a nice one. I wonder how she pays for it when she doesn't work.

I agree that Ruby is annoying and oddly charming at the same time. I get a little creeped out that her friends treat her like she is a toddler though. Even creepier, is that she seems to like being treated like a toddler.

Something about this show does not.add.up.

She is very odd. I have stayed in the south and she is obviously being treated VERY childlike but this has NOTHING to do with being southern, in my opinion. Those long drawn out words and the made up words like, "Hacky", "Humidified" etc, just bug me to no end. I am watching cuz I do want to see if she reaches her goal but the longer I watch the more annoying she becomes.

Do they ever explain why that is?

So she lost 100 lbs already and you can hardly tell- she does have a pretty face though. She is certainly an odd person- i didn't know if what just a southern thing or what with her mannerisms. Boy as she loses looks like Jeff and Georgia packed a few pounds on.
