Anyone else watching this ? There aren't a lot of threads on it out there, but I actually think it is a fun, guilty pleasure show that will only get better as the finalists are narrowed down and there is more time to study the individual actresses. I watched the Grease search for Danny and Sandy last year as well, and thought the concept of having America chose broadway stars was awesome, albeit a risky move. From what I understand it has turned out well for them though, so I think the same can work out for this show, especially since the actual judges will be selecting the winner.Anyway, I loved the Legally Blonde movies so this is right up my alley. However, I have a hard time not comparing all the finalists to Reese Witherspoon.....Even so, my two favorites are actually non-blondes -- Natalie and Celina.
I would love to hear everybody's thoughts on the show, and if you have missed it there have only been 2 episodes so far and I'm sure there are plenty of clips on youtube. Anyway, the third episode is on Monday. Yay! I can't wait. It is down to 9 now.
I TiVo'd Legally Blonde the Musical when MTV aired it last fall and absolutely love the show! I've probably watched it at least 10 or more times since recording it. I'm anxiously awaiting the national tour which is supposed to be heading out this fall and hope it comes near me. I adore Laura Bell Bundy in the part and was actually bummed to hear that she's leaving the show already.Anyhoo, I'm watching the show and loved seeing them perform with Nikki Snelson last week and how some of them freaked when she dropped the line.
It's a little early for me to have a favorite yet. I like Baily, mostly because she's doing a good job of dropping her accent, and she sounds the most like Laura Bell (to me.) I can't remember her name but I cannot stand that dark-haired girl who always wears the big bow in her hair. She was in the bottom 3 last week and I was hoping the judges would boot her but she's still around.

Good show- sloppy, giggly, girly, yet not trashy. Strangely addictive. even a couple of my guy friends are into it, though they won't admit it, i've caught them watching itI'm actually genuinely interested to see what happens on monday, which is weird. I'm not a reality show fan by any means. sign.
Dammit, MTV. you finally got me.
LAST EDITED ON 06-24-08 AT 04:04 PM (EST)Ahhh, I'm so happy that Cassie is gone. She was just so whiny and me, me, me oriented, and that drove me nuts!
I love seeing the girls get to act out scenes with some of the other actors in the show. I hope Christian Borle shows up soon - I love him!
Bailey is still tops on my list, but Rhiannon and Emma are both growing on me. Rhiannon did a great job with the comedic elements of "Serious" and kudos to Emma for performing with bronchitis. I read an interview with Laura Bell Bundy where she said that she doesn't speak before noon and very little after that to save her voice. On some days, particularly Saturdays and Sundays, between the show and warm-ups, she sings for as much as 6 hours. Wow.
ETA: One thing that drives me nuts is when the girls complain about how hard it is to learn the words for some of the songs, especially last week when the had to learn the chorus part of "Omigod You Guys." Seriously? You knew you were auditioning for this show! None of you thought to pick up the soundtrack and learn the songs? I have all the songs memorized!

They changed it to illegally blond!
