Everyone on bootcamp's official message board are saying the show is cancelled, and there apparently was talk about this on TVGuide's website, but i cant find it there

anyone got the official word on this? i would hate it if the show was cancelled, i actually liked this one

They must be talking about next season.....at the start of BC, there was talk that there would be a BC2 next winter...but, as the show's ratings have now dropped into the Big Brother depths, it has been assumed that FOX will NOT be renewing for a second season.

Good riddance cause this show has turned out to be horrible.

boot amp was 0kay show it tha they had gay mission and reward during the past episode(does not include last 2 episode)

I personally think it deserves to be cancelled. It had the promise of being the most entertaining of all the reality shows, especially with the added element of the person voted off taking someone else along, but the editing has been so pathetic that we don't care who wins or loses.

I stopped really watching it after Balloon Boy left, and even just having it on in the background while doing other things I can find the gaping holes in the editing.

I agree, janisella, although I kept watching so I could see D.I. McSweeney make these idiot recruits suffer a little more.

But let me add a couple of points on why it might have been cancelled:

1. The Stacey lawsuit against Survivor. No matter who actually wins that, it is going to raise the questions of whether or not these reality TV shows can be "fixed" or must proceed as actual game shows (which, by law, cannot be rigged in any way) where money is at stake. Boot Camp was obviously rigged (as I've waxed poetic on before, there is NO WAY with the alliances they were showing us that the males and females would remain even throughout the series), so that lawsuit would affect future Boot Camps.

2. The Survivor v. Boot Camp lawsuit. In this last episode, the music sounded almost exactly like Survivor II. Boot Camp might win that lawsuit, but they still have to fight it and might not want to have to fight it further.
