"Pirate Master Episode 8: CBS Misdirection"

The crew comes face-to-face with their past sins when some familiar spirits appear aboard the Picton Castle.

Will vengeful ghosts swipe the treasure and choose which of the remaining Pirates get marked?

Can the Captain and the Officers sustain their first direct attack - or will mutiny prevail?

If the show lives up to the previews, this week could be fun. It sounds as if some of the cast-offs will be returning and playing a role in who is “marked” next (not that there are many choices remaining).

Looks like there may be a mutiny, but I’d have to guess that if both officers are required to support it, then it won’t be successful.

The mutiny talk is resentment over the recent success of the "triad". I don't see it happening since both officers are required to vote for mutiny along with the crew.

The way to break up the "triad" is to borrow a page from Survivor and its semi-rigged challenges. Include a few puzzles on the next expedition. Or require the teams to go over a balance beam a few times and watch the men fall off repeatedly while the women scamper across. Make them do something besides lots of rowing, swimming, running, climbing, etc.

What I hope they don't borrow from Survivor is the Ghost Tribe twist. Once someone is gone, they should stay gone.

Too late, Ghost Pirates are a-coming!

Having the Ghosts mark people if they win would be the ultimate "screw you" move even if the Ghosts take the Expedition's treasure.

If the Triad are still immune to black marks even if they lose the expedition, they deserve to get a Mutiny put upon them. Remember, Jay in the preview was thinking that he'd welcome a Mutiny if it happens...........

but that Jay quote could have been taken out of context. Or for all we know MB might have culled it from an earlier episode this year just as a misdirection, though I think that is less likely.

I agree with the earlier post that this should be a fun show.

I think Jay's quote was taken out of context or it's misdirection too. It's too early for Jay and Ben to agree to a mutiny especially with the females outnumbering the men.

We already know Jay isn't trustworthy as he put a black mark on Kendra, with whom he had a semi-alliance with.

Jay's comment was most likely taken out of context.
If this is anything like the other MB shows there will be no mutiny.

Jay's quote could be from the upcoming ep. Possible scenario: Jupiter, wanting to solidify her standing with the Triad, tells Jay that she was approached about a mutiny last episode but wouldn't go for it. Then Jay has a confessional where he admits that he'd go along with a mutiny.

Do I think it's going to lead to anything? No, it's a red herring just like the previous mentions of the word. But I do think there will be a mutiny at some point, because I just don't think that Az is being edited like someone who will be around for the endgame.

Beebo is so lovely.

Beebo is so right.

I will bask in her warm, blue glow.

The winning team gets to pick the captain right. So if the ghost pirates win I think that no one will be safe from getting marked. I would also think that either the whole crew or the ghost crew would get to pick a new captain. I think Az could be outed that way.
