Wow! Ben just figured out that someone's gotta go every week. Yeah, he's blonde.

The crew had fun under Captain Azmyth.

Azmyth's Black Crew screwed up the Expedition (mostly Azmyth's fault) and lost.

The Red Crew won only $5,000 but there was a Royal Pardon inside that the highest bidder can use to save themselves at Pirate's Court. They elected Louie Captain, and he targeted JD.

JD bought the Pardon for $7,000, but ended up not needing it. (The vote was Christa 4, JD 3 so he almost did.....)

JD must sell the Pardon to the highest bidder before Pirate's Court tonight.

Nessa and Sean are first flirting, then fighting. Both decide they want the other gone. (We'll see about that.....)

And, they just accused Sean of wanting anybody gone that he sees as a problem for himself down the line. Ummm... Duh?

Search the trees for a playing card of the same suit on your map. Black finds theirs first and the clue sends them back to the anchor, with a newly acquired spyglass, to search the horizon for a heart.

While red continues to search trees Black makes it back to the anchor. They're waaaayyyyy ahead.

Oops. Louie let water get into their spyglass. Can't see a thing through it and here comes the Red team.

As part of the Expedition, they had to get to a tree bearing a Jack of the same suit of the crews' own (Club for Black, Heart for Red). In the clue tube, there was a spyglass and instructions to return to the landing point. They had to cross a river to get to that forest, so they had to cross it again to get back to the landing point. Captain Louie, carrying the spyglass, got it wet! Oooopsie! The spyglass is pretty much useless for now..........

Good call. Black decides to simply row to the island on the other side. There are 2 islands, but by dumb luck they pick the correct one. Red uses their glass and finds the heart, but Black gets to the island and finds it w/o using the glass.

No clues there, so they keep looking. Red's now on the island, too.

Red finds a gravesite and the clue is inside. They're looking for the highest palm tree to find the treasure.

Christa picked the correct spot to dig, but didn't dig quite deeply enough. Jay redug her hole (that's all he did - redig other peep's holes) and found the loot. $40,000.

There were two possible islands in the horizon, and they started rowing toward the correct one! They see the heart en route, then get to the gravesite, which tells them to look for the lone palm tree on the island, which is where the treasure was buried.

Christa started digging a hole, gave up for a second, then the Red Crew steal the treasure from the same hole!

Louie and JD have finally made up!

No chest this time, just a bag of gold. And it contained $40,000 in big coins!!!!!!!!!!!

Oops. That's what I get for posting while listening. I totally missed the fact that Christa was on Black team and Jay was on Red. I thought they were both Red.

When/Who do you think will be the first to come to the realization that with someone going home each week there're going to be fewer and fewer people to sail that ship and scrub those decks?

I've been wondering about that. I guess they'll have to have some CBS crew come on off-camera to do the work of sailing?

So now there are two reasons to bid on the pardon.

1) To be safe against being voted off the boat.

2) To prevent someone else from being safe from voting.

Nessa wins the Royal Pardon bidding with $9,000 (about $2,500 of which is JD's own money.....) so Sean's cut adrift and claims he got railroaded by the Captain and his officers.......

Hmmmmmm, maybe the Ghost Pirates will actually be after they get rid of 7 or 8 pirates?????

Is anyone keeping track of how much money each person has? I thought when Sean and Jupiter were talking, he said something about having $15,000 -- why would he not big higher for the pardon, knowing that if he didn't get it, he could be gone? I believe Nessa won it with $9,000. Even if you don't need it, you'll be able to sell it for enough to recoup your losses the next week.

These are the totals after 5 episodes, after all the bribes/loans, Royal Pardon bids, splitting of treasures with crew members, etc. The total treasure found currently is $165K (The total of these amounts is a little short, probably due to rounding......)

I wonder if they will ever make a female captain? The women are never going to have as much money as the men at this point. Not only is there a male captain again. But both officers are males and they have been officers before. So the same people are going to have all the money. The women need to get talking and try to group together on this.
