Can't wait.

Read an article in one of the rags, can't remember which one, that said the relationship between Meridith and Dr McDreamy will be resolved, and that Dr McSteamy will have a recurring role. Hmmmm.

Also, anyone notice that Grey's is listed not only at 8 central on Thursdays but also at 7 central on Fridays as rerun. Yay, I'm one that hated the switch from Sunday nights, as DH's favorite show is CSI.

hhmm...wonder why they'd repeat it? I don't like the switch but thankfully I have TIVO!

I kinda like McDreamy's wife so I hope they do her right......

I still can't believe Meridith. I can't wait for the new season.

OMG! That was fantastic! I love Finn, I love McDreamy, I even love Alex. *sigh*

So what time was the new ep on in your neighbourhood? All the advertising here was that it was on at 8. So I set up the recorder for 8, and we watched Survivor live and then started watching the taped Grey's Anatomy. About 7 minutes in, DW says "I hope they stop this recap soon and get to the new show." I thought "oh, sh1t, not again" and flipped to live TV where the new episode was playing. So we missed the first 7 minutes, but at least not the whole show. If we had missed the whole show DW would likely have hurt someone.

Reminded us of the whole Rock Star finally viewing, where here in Canada the network airing it showed the recap for 1/2 and then cut the live final. grrrr.

All that being said, very good show. The spark seems to still be there.

I think CTV showed the premier at 8 p.m., follwed by CSI at 9 p.m.

ABC showed the recap at 8 p.m., followed by the premier at 9 p.m.

So technically you could have watched it at 8 or 9 p.m. Not sure if this will be the case every week (I think it will since CTV shows both Grey's Anatomy and CSI, which run at 9 p.m. on their respective US networks. So CTV would have to shift one or the other to a different time slot).

I just heard on the radio that CTV "pulled a Global", and aired the second episode last night, rather than the premiere. Apparantly, they are going to air the premiere next Thursday.

Is it really that difficult to select the appropriate episode for a show?

Yep, last year's finale was at 8 and new show at 9. I made sure before tuning into Survivor.

I hate how this show makes me cry-and I love it, too. I am annoyed that dark and twisty Meredith has her selection of fabulous men. *pout* I obviously need to spend more time at bars drinking shots of tequila

BTW, I (unexpectedly) really like Addison-I hope her character sticks around no matter what goes on with McDreamy.

Addison has always been one of my favorite characters. I finally watched this week's episode and now I like her even more. I want Mrs. Dr McDreamy.

I know I'm not part of this show's ovary-carrying target audience, but I am someone who has watched the show since it began, and I was pretty unimpressed by last night's show. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some "Lost"-like griping as the next few weeks.

And I'm a long-time JJ Abrams' "Felicity"/"Alias"/"Lost" work, but "Six Degrees," the new show that followed it, also disappointed me. I found "What About Bria"n much more interesting -- it looks like he's starting to spead himself too thin, that's what happened with David E. Kelley several years ago.

Did they cancel this? (Did I ask you that before?)

I haven't watched last night's Grey's Anatomy yet. I'm very excited for the new season and so glad I started watching this show. I'm quite intrigued that Breezy said she even loved Alex.

No, it was a little bit of a surprise renewal, but "Brian" comes back in a couple of weeks -- it's going to be airing in the same post-"Bachelor" that it aired in last spring:

http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/abc-the-bachelor-rome-edition-premiere-october-2-4240.php

It premieres October 9 at 10PM ET/PT, "The Bachelor" debuts with a special two-hour premiere the week before.

Is this show dying? Last year I would get on when the news came on and there'd already be a handful of posts (Bebo, Breezy) and now a day can go by without a post. What's up?

Anywhoos, I'm really starting to like Calli(sp) and yay on Meridith confronting the fact that she doesn't like being in the spot of homewrecker, though I agree there really was no home to wreck.

I do hope Dr McSteamy stays around for a while. Can never get too much eye candy.

And Izzy makes me want to weep.

Last but not least the best storyline is still Burke's and Christina's, that dirty stripper

eta that the almost kiss between Mer/Der was way hotter than the kiss kiss between Mer/Finn

I don't get online much at home anymore.

Last night was funtastic! There were a couple scenes that had me howling outloud.

I love Callie! Love her!

Izzie is amazing, I mean the actress is... you could feel the sorrow and lostness. And all those muffins! I love that Joe put them around the bar for the patrons.

"RE: Grey's Anatomy Fall 2006 season"
Posted by SilverStar on 09-29-06 at 10:22 AM
OMG. Just the line "I brought you some muffins" was making me tear up. You could hear the total devastation in her voice. I *heart* Izzie. (I might have a little girl crush on Katherine Heigl.)

Callie confuses me. When she was first introduced last season, I loved her. Then they seemed to give her a negative storyline for a couple episodes towards the end of last season and I didn't like her so much. But last night, I loved her again. Heh.

LOL at Dr. McSteamy emerging from the bathroom in a cloud of steam.

I don't really get all the love that people have for Burke and Cristina. Well, I get the love for Burke, but I don't really like Cristina. I guess I'm still holding a grudge from the end of last season when she said she would be there for him after he got shot, and she wasn't. At least not for quite a while. She is selfish, just like Burke's mom said. I hope being called out on it will open her eyes.

Meredith/Derek, Meredith/Finn. Eh. Who cares?

most hilarious moment was when McSteamy appeared in the steam I was just talking about that, too! Loved Derek taking the big swig of champagne after that and saying "I feel MUCH better now."

Another good episode. If Meredith doesn't choose the vet, I call dibs!

YEs, I also agree...LOVE McSteamy!!! I have loved Callie from the very beginning, and I love her relationship with George. I guess I can really relate to that relationship on so many levels....

I really wished that Burke had stood up to his mother more. YEs, Christina is totally selfish, but I think she will do the right thing when she allows herself to open up and be a bit more human. But, having said that, I would never want her to lose her edge.

I was sad that the brain tumor guy died...he was FUN!! (especially in his comment about McDreamy wanting to mount Meridith)

Still absolutely one of my favourite shows on TV..such a breath of fresh air from reality TV DAWS...

The ending was great also. It keeps me wanting to know what happens next. Izzie standing outside the hospital all day.

And the patient with the lung cancer eating all the chocolate and having the bar bathroom thingy. That was great.

I'm here....just had to get my butt over here once I got caught up with all that's on Tivo....

When McSteamy walked out I pushed Mrs. Hobbs off the couch....I was LMAO....and Mrs. Hobbs even forgave me for it right away...and it’s the first time I’ve like Allison.

I loved the Chief taking to McDreamy about knowing about affairs and woman name Grey.

The end with Izzie and Melinda was priceless after she talked to the parent of the kid with the tree through him. Made her almost human coupled with helping the guy in quarantine last week.

Alex is a male slut but I'm starting to like him a bit.

The panties and George....again LMAO....George you are no McXXXXX but you're so lovable. Calli is really trying to fit in with the girls and I don’t know if I like it all that much….seems to forced.

Issie’s made me well up about a dozen times so far.

Meridth/Finn/McDreamy…….I just want it to be done but it won’t....but they do have some funny lines for it all...

Burke and Christina……stand up to Mom and do more Dirty Stripper….and I loved his Dads reactions and word at the end “hang in there”….

‘Grey's Anatomy’ adds ‘McSteamy’ as regular
Eric Dane plays plastic surgeon Mark Sloan
Hollywood Reporter

Updated: 5:10 p.m. PT Oct 1, 2006
LOS ANGELES - Eric Dane has joined the cast of ABC’s hit medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” as a regular.

Dane plays plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Sloan, a.k.a. “McSteamy,” a role he originated in a guest appearance last season. He returned to the series in the final scene of the Thursday episode.

“Grey’s” marks Dane’s second co-starring stint as a hot young doctor on an ABC medical drama. Several years ago, he played Dr. Wyatt Cooper on the network’s “Gideon’s Crossing.”

Dane most recently appeared in the blockbuster “X-Men: The Last Stand.” On television, he also had a recurring role on WB Network’s “Charmed.”

Since Thursday night now has me recording on 4 different networks, because almost all my fave shows are now O.N. .... T.H.E. ...S.A.M.E. ... N.I.G.H.T., I didn't get around to watching Grey's until this weekend.

I was somewhat disappointed with the season premier, but last week's ep was much better.

I still love Cristina, especially as her heart is slowly melting and she's turning more human everyday. When she went in to see Burke in the premier and broke down telling him not to ever die, she brought me to tears. Darn her! Also, loved the dirty stripper Cristina My fave couple on the show, hands down.

Izzy is still my second fave of all the characters. I miss her with Denny and watching her mourn is heart-wrenching. Loved the muffin madness, though. I can't wait to see what happens with her this week. Of course she has to come back to the hospital -- her and George are the softies of the show.

Callie gets better with each episode. I think she's great for George and will get him to toughen up a little more and be more assertive. Loved the jealousy bit when she "claimed" the panties.

I still cannot stand Meredith and the fact that she gets all these hotties to moon after her. Just don't get it at all. I just don't find anything appealing about her or her character. Dr. McDreamy is wearing on my last nerve, also. He's getting a little too cocky for my taste. He was walking that thin line where his cockiness was sexy and intriguing, but now it's just too much. In reality, Meredith & Derek deserve each other and deserve to make each other crazy & miserable.

I'll take Finn . Chris O'Donnell has the sensitive hot guy down pat. On the other hand, my bad girl side would much rather romp with McSteamy than McDreamy, any day of the week.

I am really loving Addison this season. I enjoyed her last season and hoped she'd stick around, but I look forward to her and Derek finally splitting up . . . she can do better. Yeah, I was mad at her for being a cheater, but she tried to make amends and now she is the better of the two of them. I hope McSteamy transfers & continues his relationship with Addison, irritating the heck out of Derek which, in turn, irritates the heck out of Meredith because it bothers Derek who Addison is sleeping with.

I am beginning to tolerate Alex, but he's down at the bottom of my list with Meredith.

McSteamy was McDreamy's best friend and then cheated with Allison who McDreamy walked in on. That is when Derek up and left for Seattle and Allison followed. McSteamy showed up to try to get Allison back and it took him one second to hit on Meredith which Derek slugged him. Allison said she was going to try to make it with Derek and go away. He did but now that their marriage is done he's back to win Allison over again.

Are you not impressed this is all coming from a guy....lol...

I just love this show!! I missed the first two seasons, but all of my girlfriends kept hounding me telling me I have to watch it...so....to catch up - my boyfriend and I rented the entire DVD collection of both the first and the second season. After the first episode we were hooked. For over a week all we did was ate, slept and dreamt of Grey's Anatomy. We managed to stay up really late for days (called in a sick day even) to catch up. After going through a short period of Grey's withdrawal...we are finally caught up.

I agree with a lot of stuff that you guys said. I love Izzy. I love George. I love Callie. I love Burke. Hell...I love everybody. The entire cast is just great. Meredith can be a little whiny and sometimes she talks weird...like her lips don't move when she talks sometimes...I don't know how to explain it.

Addison is the girl you are supposed to hate, but they make her character so great that you can't help but like her. I hope she sticks around.

I love Thursday nights! We rotate houses every Thursday for a Grey's party. This week it's my house. I'm going to make muffins (thanks for the idea Izzy).

A muffin viewing party in honour of Izzy...that is just wonderful! I used to have Sex and the City parties and drink cosmos...but I really like the muffin party idea too! It's so fun to watch with other people who also love the show.

I too love Addison. Yeah, she screwed up, but I still really enjoy her character. You'll have to let us know how your muffin viewing party goes! Have fun

Okay, it took me a few months but I have now seen every episode. For the most part I like the show. I think the writing leaves alot to be desired, especially everything out of Meredith's mouth. Her dialogue reads too much like a play and none of it is believable.

But, the character I really really hate is Izzy! She killed a patient and stole a heart from a father of two and gave it to some mid 30's guy with no real family. And yet, she is still getting a favorable edit? She should face severe reprecussions for what she did, especially the part about stealing the heart.

Basically, she decided that her crush was more important than two children having their father! That is despicable and its deplorable that the writers have let her get away with it. I was hoping she would be kicked out of the program and kicked off teh show (when i saw it I thought she was leaving the show and this was their way of finishsing off her character).

Overall, I like the show despite the ##### poor writing and cheesy predictable narration.

Good point Shakes..about Izzy that is....they all are fairly selfish lot. But, as Callie said so brilliantly last episode, "it's high school with scalples (sp?)" (ie, it's all about them....)
I enjoy it, but I certainly don't take it toooo seriously

Ya know MRC....I agree with you. Derek really bugged me last night. I don't really like this whole dating thing. For some reason I'd like to see Meredith loose both of these guys.

Poor Addison. She should just go back to New York. Mark obviously loves her and wants to be with her. I'd hate to see her go, but I just don't know how this will work.

Derek is a pompous a$$. Yeah, this whole dating thing bugs me. Loved the little "superhero" girl last night - wasn't she the little girl from Little MIss Sunshine? (excellent movie!)
And, George, whom I usually love, was really annoying the heck out of me last night too. I agreed with Callie "what..are you 4? ..use your words!" (when he couldn't just tell her he wasn't ready)

I loved the last scene where they were all checking into the same hotel...lol...

I'll be very bummed if they get rid of Addison. She has always been my favorite character. Alex is finally starting to grow on me now too.

I found that the only way I can now watch this show is if I fast forward through all the useless scenes with Izzy in them. That meant that I skipped every one of those dumb scenes where she just stood in front of the hospital for 10 straight hours. Very believeable. I really really dislike her character.

I also really am starting to dislike Meredith and the whole her and Derek thing. That is beyond annoying!

And I hate George.

Wow, I'm really starting to sour on this show.

I do like all the storylines with Christina, Burke, Bailey and what's his name, the white jerk intern guy? And I don't hate Addison.

I'm with you on this one shakes. Though I like Izzy (or maybe it's just that Katherine Heigl is my eye candy?), they drug that scene out way too long!! If she wants to stand outside the hospital for an hour or two, fine. But come on, all day?! ALL FREAKIN DAY?!!! I went from sympathy to empathy to apathy, her "woe is me" schtick is getting on my last nerve.

I hate Meredith. What these two jerkwads see in this anorexic dipstick is beyond me. "Whaaaa, Whaaaa, Whaaaa, I want to be treated like a lady!" Well, first you need to stop acting like a whore. Try that.

I love Addison. Further proof that Dr. McDipshat am not smaaht. There's no way I'd dump her over Meredith. NO EFFING WAY!! Let's see, The Cheating HOT Wife vs. The Anorexic Hobag?.....I'll take The Cheating HOT Wife for 1000 Alex.

I don't like Christina. Burke's mom was right....she's too selfish, and she's wound way too tight. Her only saving grace is that she's so damn snarky. That I love!

George is such a tool. And we're expected to believe this guy is a surgeon?! Yeah right. Go away George, you suck.

George's girlfriend is nice! She needs to dump geek boy and find a real man.

I'm liking Bailey more and more with each passing episode. She's my favorite character next to Burke and Alex (white jerk intern guy). She has a heart, and they're finally showing it. Thank you!

All that being said, I still love this show.

"Doc's get in on set fight"
Posted by mrsunderstood on 10-12-06 at 12:46 PM
LOS ANGELES - It’s one thing for Dr. McDreamy to punch out Dr. McSteamy like he did last season on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

It’s entirely another thing for the good doctor to face off with another cast member in real life, but that appears to be the case as Dr. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) and Dr. Burke (Isaiah Washington) squared off on the “Grey’s” set.

Before we get to the blow-by-blow, a quick tale of the tape:
Story continues below ↓ advertisement

Patrick weighs in at 165 pounds; he’s 5-foot-10; sports “Dreamy” blue eyes and just turned 40.

Isaiah has 30 pounds on Patrick, a 2-inch height advantage and is 43.

Now for the details…

Dempsey and Washington squared off in what is being called a “violent brawl” on the set. Reportedly, Isaiah grabbed Patrick by the throat after an argument broke out over cast members showing up late for work.

According to one source, Isaiah was “in Patrick’s face” and said some “disgusting things.”

Isaiah’s rep hasn’t denied the incident and released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

“Differences are inevitable. They were aired, resolved, and everyone has moved on.”

Dempsey's spokeswoman echoed that sentiment: "There was an argument on set. In any close-knit family, sometimes people argue. But everybody made up and went back to work."

Isaiah is even apparently able to joke about the incident now, telling People magazine he’d never been that close to Dr. McDreamy before and “he has really pretty blue eyes.”

Ack, I can't believe this, but I agree totally with Shakes. The supposed main characters and Izzy nauseate me.

I really only want to see Christina and Burke. I love Christina.

He's hot. I'd hit that.

I don't blame her at all. Come on, it's just like she said highschool with scalpels. She proved her own statement.

I think she's hot, and I don't want him hitting that!! Say goodnight to George. Even if it is a one night stand, he'll never be able to compete with that.

I think George blew it.....and thus why not hit it....

Now what happens when Addison finds out? I think they are crossing hook-ups too much.

Derek dumps Meredith and then Meredith dump Finn.....and she knows he'll hurt her again. Please get this done quicker....I loved the Chief advice.

I'm starting to love Bailey...and the way she jumped in over McSteammy....lol...

Christina and Burk was good last night but you should never hide his hand problems....something bad is going to happen there soon.

I agree about Burke. He's not ready for heart surgery. Something bad IS going to happen with that.

I'm dissapointed in Callie. I was so happy when she she said she was going to bed and walked away from McSteamy....I thought that was it. Then BAM...she goes and invites him with.

WAY to many crossing hook-ups.

I was sad to see Finn go. He really was the better man...but I can't help but think that Meridth and Derick should be together. Her heart was with him. But Finn is just so great.

Who can we talk to around here to try and get a Grey's Anatomy forum??? It's one of the most watched shows!! We need our own forum!!

Someone give Finn my phone number...oh wait...he's just a character on a tv show. Dang it.

Yup, I say "you go girl"...George is giving her NUTHIN!! No love, no accomodation....she really needs to move on. If I had to move on, I would certainly start by erasing all my sorrows with McSteamy! Woo-hoo!!

Was the show on last night? I thought I watched, but all I can remember from last night is my DW repeatedly bemoaning that she didn't go into med school so that someone would have fallen in love with her, died, and left her $8.7M.

I guess I am just chump change, and Canadian currency at that.

I agree with the NOOOO to Callie though!

Oh god, the whole Mer/Der/Finn thing was driving me crazy (and not in a good way) The Burke/Christina thing was somewhat interesting, but....I LOVED the ending with Callie inviting McSteamy up to her room - Woo-hoo!! Go Callie! George is being such a pansy-a$$ that he doesn't deserve a great strong woman like Callie.
And, I predict, (probably along with 8 million other people) that Karev and Addison will get it on...make tension between McSteamy and the fawning Karev (whom I am happy didn't get the cappacino for Mr. Fancy-A$$ Plastic Surgeon) Okay, McSteamy is pretty damn hot, and he will be fun to have around for a while...

Yay

I could not stand the doped-up Meredith. If that was supposed to make her more likeable it didn't work for me. And I am borderline fed up with George, too. Callie really cares for him and yet he pushes her to the bottom of his list every time. Cut your losses, girl-it's time to walk away. I am not digging what we saw of McSteamy's personality last night but if he helps her move on, well...a little McSteamy McSex never hurt anyone, lol.

Finally the lame triangle is over. Finn was much too good for someone like Meredith (even though she sometimes has some funny lines, she's my least fave character). Derek & Meredith deserve each other. Finn would have been a great match for Izzie, but too late now as Izzie deserves better than anyone who would pine for Meredith.

Izzie meeting Denny's father was interesting & I liked the way it ended (not the 8.7 mil, but that dad finally "got" it). So, was the 8.7 a life insurance policy or was Denny loaded? Boy, I still miss Denny -- this actor dies (or is dead) in every show he's in and it's a shame . . . Weeds, Supernatural & Grey's.

I say, "You go, girl!" to Callie. George is really annoying me this season -- I used to think he was adorable, now he's just an annoying pansy-arse! George blew it and Callie deserves to have a one-night stand with the hot McSteamy. Adding McSteamy to the cast is a HUGE plus with me.

I agree that Burke & Christina's plan to hide Burke's situation is going to end up bad. I love these two together, but they both need their heads knocked together . . . open up and communicate to each other!!

My only question is how many episodes until Meridith & McSteamy hook up. Any bets anyone? I'm guessing the finale will have them in bed together OR on a gurney together OR up against a locker together OR in the scrub room together OR outside against the brick wall . . . they're gonna do it & McDreamy is gonna catch 'em.

I believe Denny had a profitable business.
It was equally eerie that he was named after his dad. When he told Izzie to call him "Denny" that was just too creepy. I think there would have been plenty of symbolism if he said his name was Dennis.

The phonecall to his folks was veryyyyyyyy moving!!! Great ending to this story. She can go on knowing it really was for real. He did love her, and she did love him.

Just gotta say that I love Callie! Her "I liked you better when you weren't talking" line to McSteamy was classic. I guess McDreamy pulled back so that we could have the whole longing/sexual tension thing again. Snore.

Yes, still love Callie too. Sure, NOW George wants her back....as he totally dissed her and ignored her for so long and I don't blame her when she got fed up and moved on. I can't wait for the fireworks when George finds out she slept with McSteamy.

But, as for the rest..they were all annoying as hell last night. Everybody bugged me. The story line of the Izzy not depositing the cheque was just stooopid and the whole "Dr.Baily afraid to show emotion" thing was also stoopid..as she is Baily, what the heck does she care if some young idiot doctor accuses here of being too emotional? Too emotional?? She's "The Nazi" ..she can be emotional whenever she pleases..or NOT! So, yeah...it all bugged me last night...

I completely agree. I though the first two seasons were great, but its getting to the point where I can't even watch the whole show without hitting the fast forward button when certain characers are on the screen. The writing is so unrealistic at times it makes me ill. For instance, EVERY SINGLE WORD that comes out of Meredith's mouth. "its you. You're here. Its you. And yet, you are here again. With me. And you. Here. Its you. sigh." I swear to god i want to just punch her right in the mouth everytime she talks, but especially when she talks in an elevator! "I can't not tell you. I want to. But I can't. Because you're you. And I can't not tell you. Because you're you." I'm telling you, I could get a job writing for this show...I think I just covered Meredith's next 7 scenes.

And I really really want to shoot whoever is in charge of Izzy's storyline. Everything she does is beyond unrealistic. From standing in front of the hospital for 10 hours to overacting in all the kitchen scenes, to the whole million dollar check thing. Its just all so dumb and insulting to the viewers.

I'm really begining to wonder if this show isn't just about done. There's definitley blood in the water and sharks are gathering...I guess all that needs to happen is someone has to set up the ramp or whatever it is sharks use to jump.

And one more thing....the way George acts around women, this whole ridiculous stuttering lack of confidence makes it impossible for me to picture him as a surgeon. No way any real surgeon would ever have be that much of a stuttering nitwit.

Maybe because Geroge is gay.....<------see story on the side bar...just kidding folks....

Meredith/McDreamy/Finn/Addison was getting old last season and I was happy that they had more on Miranda/Burke/Christina/even Alex.

I thought George was growing last year big time where I could see him being a surgeon...now? I agree...no way....

Izzy's storyline is in the crapper and so is the Chief's....the man is getting divorced and they don't even say anything about it....Burke's was shot, in rehab, and now doing surgury in what seem like days but he's said a few time it's been months but the M&M reviews deaths from the month before.....How long was Izzy out? It seems like a few days but they act like its been longer at times but shorter at other times...

They've got a big timeline issues and I think that's what really messing up the show right now.

I still like it but if this keeps up soon its not going to be a sit down and watch it but a Tivo watch when I get time.

Come on.......there were some pretty classic lines and things on the show!!!

Only Christine would bring snacks to a M&M meeting!

Izzie and Burke had a recogning.

Christine during the separation of the couple, "I think he's c..., I mean going!"

I agree, the check thing got a little old. And, no, it wouldn't be enough to even buy a rurul hospital.

McSteamy and Callie, and then McSteamy and Montgomery......I swear Meredith will be with him by the end of next season.
