Apparently NBC would like to give us our Heroes fix during off weeks, and capitalize on the success of the show. A six-episode serial called Heroes: Origins will be airing before next season and it will introduce 6 new heroes. Allegedly the bet hero, as voted by the shows fans, will be added to the show.Seems like that will make the writers job harder, but I will be by the channel. Wish they could get this started up in time for the summer slump.

This is a neat concept. I'll give them that. I'm just really getting more and more concerned about the possibility of Heroes becoming all convoluted and losing it's direction like Lost has.

The great benefit Heroes has is that you aren't stuck on an island, so you can kill off characters, bring in new ones and get new, interesting story lines. If you follow the comic book Hero model, there's plenty of room for new villians and good guys.
