LAST EDITED ON 11-14-06 AT 04:42 AM (EST)^^ Supposed to be "11/13 Episode"
Just me, or did that rock?
What caught your attention most?
Sylar's purpose is to kill heroes? (Was that known? I didn't know it.)
Big-eyes has powers gots skeels. Mind control?
Hiro did get to the waitress, but 6 months earlier...and his picture was already pinned up? But she didn't recognize him in the diner? WTH? Or did the picture show up on the bulletin board after he beamed himself byebye?

I very much enjoyed it as well Jimbo. I love the whole time/space conundrum. I belive before Hiro went back, they showed a pick of the waitress with her birthday hat on, by herself. Was the pic with Hiro and her a replacement of that one?And does Mohinder have powers? Or was someone getting into his dreams to make him find that folder?
At least now we know more about HRG guy.
One hour a week is not enough of this show for me.
Go Pack!

Yep the pic of the waitress changed after Hiro went back to save her.Who's the kid in the pic in the folder? Cause it's the same one that keeps controlling Mohinder's dreams.
A agree last night's episode was too short. And I can't wait until the Homecoming game next week! Can't wait!

SANTOG, Iyler was the name on the outside of the folder Siyler??? I have no idea but I immediately saw that and said hmmmmmmm......
I think the boy might be Mohinder as a child. Could his parents have adopted him after their daughter died? Akin to Claire after Claire's dad "had to kill" her parents?
Or if not, did his real sister have powers too?
The folder talked about sleep research and we saw Mohinder can see the past in his dreams? like Isaac can see the future
And PRE, I agree, Claire's dad is not pure evil that is Syler's role. His and Mohinder's characters just got REALLY REALLY interesting last nite. They are the guides to the Heroes and pivotal to the story.
Next week's ep looks amazing!!

I didn't catch the name on the folder, so thanks. But Mohinder can't be Syler, that would just be wrong.

The watch is the major clue on who is Syler. I've been going over the comics online looking for someone that has that watch....no luck yet but I think it's there.

No, I'm not saying he's Sylar but maybe Mohinder's dad "named" Syler based on this boy's name; we know that the actor playing Sylar is white. and thanks PRE..I didn't think about the fact that he would recognize himself at an earlier age DOH...unless somehow he can't now ...you never know with this show; but most likely not him as child
Maybe the boy was the first "hero" that Mohinder's dad found and started the research years ago
The fact that newspaper clippings about sleep research were in the folder and Mohinder was able to see the past in his dreams makes we really wonder...oh and remember Peter's dream in 11/6 ep.

My thought was that the kids power was dream manipulation with the effect that it can actually impact reality. I agree that he was an early patient and his ability to 'prove' his own existence using his powers is going to start on convincing Mohinder that he is not wasting his time following in dad's footsteps.

LAST EDITED ON 11-14-06 AT 03:03 PM (EST)I thought his was dreams of the past.....Isaac can paint/see the future and our little hottie hitting on Mohinder has the power of suggestion since she said Dad was not going to make her do that again and talked Isaac into taking drugs again.
I wonder why Isaac did not mention Peter when he could not do the painting?
Also, is Sylar the only one we've seen with two or more abilities? He can fly, mind control, strength (rip brains out), stealth, and move items.....or do all our hero's have more but just have not developed more yet?

the name on folder isSANJOG, Iyer
I watched that part again after dbf said there was no L.. We both think it's patient zero. I think it could be a girl too.

Good catch on the Siyler thing! I thought it said Tyler, so that never occured to me. Interesting theory. I had thought about it being Mohinder as a child as well, but I thought that he would probably have recognized himself.

I'm pretty sure the child in Mohinder's dream is his sister Shanti. I know everyone thinks the child is a boy but I remember his mother saying that his father thought she was very special and his mother then said she was special, i.e., that she had special powers too. I think she was guiding Mohinder in the dream leading him to discover the folder with her picture in it with the soccer ball.

I watched the last five minutes....ok....Hiro went back and was there...but where is he now and if he saved the waitress why all the cops and people in the diner are still there as nothing has changed?

Probably because the results of Hiro's actions hadn't caught up to present time. Kind of like in the X-men cartoons with Bishop and Cable when they did a bunch of time travel and their actions that changed the relative past did not immediately affect the future.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Yeah, little people do all the work and a fat, bald guy takes all the credit.

My new DVR cut out 5 minutes short so I'll be back once I see the last five minutes....But I got home at 10:45 and had to watch it before I went to bed....
I love it....and we know Sylar killed Molders dad so I wonder if he had powers too?
The waitress said her powers just started 2 weeks ago....I think that is a major clue.

"Claire's Dad"
Posted by PagongRatEater on 11-14-06 at 10:21 AM
That was a GREAT episode last night. This show started kinda slow, but it is rolling along like a frieght train now.The thing that I found most interesting about last nights episode was Claire's Dad. It is getting harder to pigeon-hole him into the bad guy role. Although they continue to refer to him in the 'previously' portion as the face of evil, I'm starting to think that is a red herring. Perhaps he is some kind of Doctor Xavier, rounding up the mutants and giving them purpose and control. I'm very interested to see what direction this goes.

"RE: Claire's Dad"

He is the "face" of evil right now, because we haven't seen Syler's face. He's been targeting the heros, for his own use instead of the good of the whole. (Granted Save the Cheerleader, Save the World would be good for the whole. But does he know it's that big?) So in that regards he's evil? Just thinking outloud...

I've been thinking the "face of evil" was a red herring for weeks now. Editing can be very misleading, and editing previews are sometimes even worse. Just because the voice-over mentioned "the face of evil" as HRG was on the screen does not necessarily mean that they were referring to HRG. We got deeked!!

Awesome episode.I too thought of Sylar when Mohinder found the file. I'm also not sure if the child in the dream is male or female.
I lvoe this show and can't wait for next week.
Tummy
a beautiful kyngsladye original
You know, Mohinder makes me think of hot, dark, expensive chocolate mixed with cream. And I want to be a cat (that chocolate doesn't make sick and with a smooth tongue, don't want to give him a rash
) and I get to lick the saucer clean.

Loved the episode!Although I was a bit disappointed that they completely ignored a few characters (Niki, Petrelli's, and (somewhat) Claire), but the episode was so good it didn't really matter in the end. haha
My only two questions are these:
(1) What exactly is Sylar's power? Telekinesis? Or is he just a skullcap-removing maniac? I think I remember something about someone saying he was like the "prototype" in the premiere...??? I'm clueless.
(2) Is next week the finale? I don't see how they could continue on if all they've been working toward happens in the next episode.

das.

I've been working off the impression the Sylar consumes another's power by eating their brains, like how mad cow disease is transfered to people. Kinda like Peter, but more permanent. That's why he has Telekinesis (diner) Regeneration and Flight (after being shot by the Telepathic cop). That also explains why it would take multiple heroes to defeat him. The fight will probably end up being Sylar vs. Peter, so Peter will need the Cheerleader's power to have a chance.

Mohinder is cute. And his voice just makes me crazy. Just sayin'.
So we're back to the original Mohinder's daddy again? After a different picture of him appeared on the back of the book in one episode?

I think it was 3 episodes ago, maybe. They showed the back of Chandra Suresh's book and instead of the bald goateed guy we've seen in every other episode, the picture was of a fully bearded guy in a turban. It was a blink and you miss it type thing, but when you're describing the action for the blind, you try to catch little things like that. Especially in a show like this, where everything, down to the shape of the floater in the pool, could mean something.
Hmm... I think I need a Mohinder siggy...
