Wow, that was really actually very good. I was entertained for just about all of it and I'm looking forward to next week. I thought it would be a lot cheesier than it ended up being.

And talk about some seasoned yet under-known actors. IMBD has a whack of projects for all of them except the painter.

Anyone see it - thoughts?

So far this has been my favorite new show. This was great.

So many Lost elements.

It is very rare that I feel suprised by an ending or "twist" but the end of this episode knocked my socks off!

Excellent show. A bit confusing at times, but good. I hope the previews didn't give away too much.

NBC is showing an encore tonight. Not sure about the time, although it is probably 8:00 EDT.

"Eepisode 1 delivers good ratings, wins time period"
Posted by SurvivorBlows on 09-26-06 at 02:23 PM
According to the preliminary fast antional ratings, "Heroes" premiered pretty big, averaging about 14.2 million viewers and winning the 9PM hour in viewers and just about every single demographic (Two and a Half Men draw more viewers from 9-9:30PM, but Heroes still won every demo but Women 25-54 during the half hour and then won both viewers and every single demo during its second half hour.)

It looks like NBC has a hit on its hands.

The news wasn't as good for fans of "Vanished" -- it only averaged about 6.4 million viewers and finished fourth in its time period among viewers, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34. Now that all the other networks are starting their fall schedules, "Prison Break" also seems to be faltering some

I'm glad!! I was hoping it got a good first show audience. I first saw the promo trailer when I saw POTC at movie theater this July.. I thought it looked corny, but then I read about it and it seemed interesting..I'm glad I watched it. It def. has a Lost feel to it, but it's not quite so sinister and so mysterious in the Lost way..in it's own way... and there is so much more potential bc they have the whole world not just a little island

I really like M. Saresh, he's pretty hot too!

I really did not get the feel that the nurse was going to be a villain and nor did I think the single mom was one, I think "her mirror image" did what she had to do.

So who is the cheerleader's real parents? I thought her continually hurting herself was great...esp her hand in the garbage disposal!

And the Japanese guy with all his Star Trek references is great...the writers said they added him as comic relief.

And I too was completely blown away by end!! I can't wait til next week!

What happens when it goes up against 24 in January??

I could only catch bits and pieces of it. But, from what I was able to watch. I liked it alot. It had an X-Men meets Unbreakable feel to it. I'm gonna definitely catch the encore tonight so I can see what I missed. And I agree, last night's ending was a jaw-dropper!! I can't wait to see the villians!!

Also, can anyone remember in recent memory if there's ever been a season with so many good shows on? In other words....it really sucks not to have a Tivo right about now (I'm looking at me).

I liked it well enough. I though that it had an interesting enough premise that we didn't need quite so much Mustang Sally internet porn so early on in the episode. I don't think that I'm a prude, but that felt more than a little gratuitous to me. I'm glad I stuck around so the rest of the program could redeem itself.

Okay, I had a chance to watch the encore and this is what I came up with:

1) The cheeleader's dad is the head villian.

2) The Indian man is the head hero.

3) Someone is planning on dropping a nuke on New York.

So far I think we've only seen two villians: The cheerleader's dad and the single mom. There was alot I missed the first time, but last night after I saw how she messed those two hoodlums up? I thought to myself, "Daaaamn! Heroes don't do that!"

So here's where we're at (sorry I don't recall any names):

"The Indian Guy" ~ Leader of the Heroes

"The Cheerleader's Dad" ~ Leader of the Bad Guys.

"The Cheerleader" ~ Rapid Cellular Regeneration.

"Japanese Guy" ~ Teleportation.

"Painter Guy" ~ See the future.

"Single Mom" ~ Incredible Hulk-esque. (Possible villian)

"Smarmy Politician Guy" ~ Flight. (Possible villian)

"Smarmy Politician Guy's Brother" ~ Flight (possibly). If his brother is not a villian than he is.

Can't wait until next week!

I think you and I noticed a lot of the same things in the encore. I'm glad for the encore. I thought Cheerleader's Dad was the guy in the cab, but I wasn't sure till I saw it again. I wonder if he knows anything about his daughter or suspects her in any way.

I do wonder how involved some of the "normals" we saw last night will be involved. I'm particularly interested in if we'll see more of Japanese guy's friend and painter's girlfriend. I wonder if we'll ever see Indian geneticist's Dad (flashbacks, etc.)

"Smarmy Politician Guy's Brother" ~ Flight (possibly). If his brother is not a villian than he is.
Well, he did say something about no longer living for other people, didn't he? Wouldn't that be a twist if the supposedly mild-mannered 'good son' turned out to be a villian and the 'politician' turned out to be a good guy, albeit(sp?) unwillingly.

That's almost a given.

Wouldn't that be a twist if the supposedly mild-mannered 'good son' turned out to be a villian and the 'politician' turned out to be a good guy, albeit(sp?) unwillingly.

I'm thinking the same thing. Making the politician the villian is waaay too predictable. He doesn't care about anybody but himself, including his own family. While, his younger brother is a nurse. I see it playing out like this: They start out on the "hero" side, but the older brother wants all the glory because, after all, he learned how to fly first. The younger brother gets fed up with "living in his older brother's shadow" and takes off. Later he runs into Glasses Guy who goes off on a Magneto-esque "You're a giant among insects" monologue and convinces him to join the Legion of Doom.

If Mustang Sally is a villain, I think that she turns out to be an unwilling villain, somebody being controlled by people or forces beyond her control. Glasses Guy, on the other hand, seems to be a willing villain.

"RE: Heroes"
Posted by Captain_Savem on 09-27-06 at 03:36 PM
Didn't it seem to you like Glasses Guy (aka Cheeleader's Dad) was way ahead of everyone else? I'm thinking Glasses Guy is a geneticist as well (remember he knew Indian Guy's Dad's work). I'm also willing to bet he had a hand in Indian Guy's Dad's murder. If you recall, Indian Guy told his friend that his dad mentioned someone was following him in the days preceding his death. Indian Guy thought his dad died because of his research. I'm guessing pop's research revealed exactly what's happening now with the mutations, and Glasses Guy killed him so the world wouldn't find out.

and it may even be corrected in the next couple episodes. Why only one foreign 'hero'? Cheerleader, the Hulkstress, the Flying Sons, and the Starving Visionist are all American. Only the comic relief (which I think is gonna be great) is not American. This doesn't make sense to me.

Anybody else notice this?

I bet that will be explained. My guess, most of these kids were exposed to or injected with something or other to get the mutant genes going as babies and have been watched ever since, hence the cheerleader with creepy mean guy dad asking about her real parents. But there are a few who did the mutant gene thing on their own, maybe, like adorable Hiro in Japan.

And that big map that the hot Indian guy was looking at had pins all over the world, right?

Love this show . . . the cast is my second fave since Lost -- great actors. There was so much going on in the first episode that I think it will take a couple more to get everything figured out.

Cheerleader's dad is definitely the baddy, but is he part of what started this genetic mutation/evolution thing or is he just part of a group trying to figure out how & why?

I don't think single stripper mom is going to be bad, but what is her power/gift? It killed those guys to protect her. Does her reflection come out of the mirror or something?

The ending was great with the politician brother flying up to grab the younger brother. How long has he had his power and kept it hidden? He seems somewhat smarmy, but I'm not sure if he'll turn out to be a bad guy.

And my oh my, yes the main Indian guy is H.O.T.T.!!!! Puts Sayid to shame . . .

I was so pissed when I realized this had been erased on my DVR before I watched the whole thing. Glad I remembered that NBC has the episode online.

Lvoed it. I will definitely be tuning in next week...And add me to the list that think the Indian guy is hot.

We've still got more folks to see. Greg Grunberg is in the next ep. Lost fans remember him as the pilot of flight 815, and Alias fans fondly remember him as Weiss.

2. both brothers can fly

3. there's a really nasty murderer out there that freezes people and takes their brains? ewww.

5. and if Indian guy gets any hotter he's going to poof into a puff of smoke.

Me and Dbf were debating this topic last nite...We think the coolest one would be the cheerleader's power. We both said we'd walk around cutting off like fingers and stuff (get you minds out of the proverbial gutter) to gross people out... That neck thing last nite was COOL!

Although the mind reader would be very interesting and you could use that in SO MANY WAYS!!

Although I think I would have to go with teleporting and time travel...that would be just too AWESOME!

I would hate to be a mind reader - althought that would really come in handy in my line of work, but there is no power better than the ability to manipulate time and space. Holy cow, it's practically a limitless power! Aside from the really cool "Back to the Future" betting things, the ability to freeze and reverse any set-back, disaster or problem would basically change your entire life.

But, the four of us had a great time.

Wow! Does this show know how to leave a cliffhanger or what?! Another awesome ending to a great episode!

What We Know:

1) The heroes have 5 weeks to stop the nuke attack on New York City. (Poor New Yorkers, they just can't catch a break can they?)

2) Evil Dad knows about Claire's (cheerleader) gift. She's definitely a hero. So what's an evil dad to do when his child just doesn't live up to expectations?

3) Siler is the name of one of the evil-doers.

4) The cop can hear people's thoughts. My money is on he's a hero.

Questions:

1) Who was the dead guy Hiro found in the apartment? Was it Painter Guy? It didn't look like him.

2) Why didn't Hiro just teleport himself out of the police car OR out of the apartment when the police arrived? I would have.

3) Why didn't Creepy Plumber Guy kill Mohinder?

4) Why didn't Claire step forward and admit she's the one who saved that dude in the fire?

5) I wonder if Hiro is going to take his friend with him when he goes back to New York?

What I'm thinking:

1) Siler is the one helping the Stripping Mom. The two murder scenes looked similar to me. Siler has been watching Stripper Mom all this time and he is the one that killed those two thugs. He got her a new car and now he's helping her dispose of the bodies.

2) I figured out why the comic was made. Hiro knew when and where he would be in New York. Painter Guy created the comic book so Hiro would find it and go to his apartment. Thus, coming across the dead guy in the apartment and the police who would take him back to the station and tell him what the date is before he teleported back. Also, Hiro knows exactly where to go when he teleports back to New York.

3) The evil-doers didn't kill Mohinder because he hadn't found what they were looking for (the location of the other mutants). But now he's found it. Only, Mohinder doesn't know that these mutants actually exist yet. He still thinks it's just research.

Staying tuned...

I'm still confused too!

Also, Sylar is "Patient Zero", the guy we heard on the answering machine talking to Mohinder's father. So Mohinder's dad was probably working with "Patient Zero" during his research until "Patient Zero" started going bat shat crazy and loping people's head's off and eating their brains.

And, we know the heroes have five weeks to stop the bomb. But if they fail can't Hiro just time travel back a few weeks and start over? And if so, then there's no real sense of urgency is there?

I thought it was the Painter Guy.

Well, she's not been wanting to draw attention to herself so it makes sense she would want to now. She probably wants to figure out what the heck is going on before other people realize something weird is happening, or maybe it's just her spidey-sense telling her to keep quiet.

I disagree with you on this one. I think it's all her, but how and what I have no idea. I don't think anyone has interacted with anyone else yet. Except Syler and Mohinder's dad.
But I still think she's not going to be a villian. She's only killed bad guys so far.

Good thought, though I'm not sure Painter Guy is doing much except doing what he sees. Although, it is 5 weeks later, wait is it, was it 5 weeks later for everyone? See, now I'm confused. Errr, that whole time/space paradox!

Yeah, at first that was my thinking too. But I just don't see how she could have acquired the car complete with registration, put the dead bodies in the trunk, and got a map showing where to dispose of the bodies. How could she not remember doing any of that? You know what? Disregard that question, I just remembered that she blacked-out for four hours. Okay, I change my mind, it's her.

"Although, it is 5 weeks later, wait is it, was it 5 weeks later for everyone? See, now I'm confused. Errr, that whole time/space paradox!"

This one almost had me twisted as well, but I don't think it was 5 weeks later for everyone else, just Hiro. Let's break it down real quick:

So far there have only been two episodes. Hiro teleported to New York at the end of the first episode (or the beginning of the second). Let's assume that when Hiro traveled forward in time, everything else was happening real time (at the exact same moment as Hiro). This would mean that all the events in the second episode occurred 5 weeks after the events in the first episode. This would mean that the guy with power of flight was in the hospital for 5 weeks. Or that when Nikki (Stripper Mom) dropped her son off at her friend's and said she'd be gone for only a couple hours, she in fact left him there for 5 weeks!

I think that's a little far fetched...

That's true and makes sense when you put it like that. But the first episode could have had Hiro 5 weeks Before the others and he could have jump into the USA's heroes present. Need asprin yet?

Not yet, and here's why:

But the first episode could have had Hiro 5 weeks Before the others and he could have jump into the USA's heroes present.

Assuming that's true, it's still a moot point. Hiro's clock is at T minus 5 weeks. Now whether that 5 weeks brings us to present day or puts us 5 weeks into the future, I think is irrelevant. Maybe except for the fact that Mohinder's father would still be alive. Regardless, I don't think it matters much because now that Hiro can travel through time and space (which I'm sure we'll see him do quite often), the concepts of past, present, and future are all kinda blurred together.

Long time lurker here (be kind to first time posters!!)

Anyway, did anyone notice the elongated S-shaped symbol shown several times in this week's episode? Imagine an elongated 'S' with one 'bar' on one side and two on the other.

The first time I noticed it, and there may have been previous references, was when Hiro was in Isaac's gallery . . . there was a painting of it in a vertical orientation.

The second when was Mohinder was looking at the data/code on the portable hard drive -- as the symbols/text were scrolling across, the characters and their spacing made that symbol (this time in a horizontal position).

Then, in what I think was the next scene, it was a shot of the outside of the house where the police were investigating the murders. The hose from the cleaner in the pool made the same shape.

My initial thought was that this could represent 'mutant' DNA as it resembles a picture of a DNA strand (the double-helix configuration) split length-wise.

Anyone else notice this??

First, Welcome to the boards! Kick off yer shoes and set a spell.

Second, Good catch! I didn't notice the symbol throughout but I did notice the pattern when sexy Mohinder was scrolling through the data and my first thought was "I bet that pattern is significant."

I've been hanging around you people too much.

That was A GREAT EPISODE!!

I loved the ending...Claire is my fave gal on the show. the last scene was great...I can't wait to see how she gets off the slab and into the car crashing with her rapist/killer. Will she have to go underground..bc everyone thinks she's dead? How will her "dad" be involved?

Hiro is my fave character overall he is so funny. I'm glad his friend is on board. And you all noticed that he has the blond girl's website up on his computer 2 diff times..I'm still not sure about her..I like her son and her mother in law seems like a tough lady.

The Congressman I like, his brother, meh...I don't like his new chicky much either..she left that artist for that geek

Mohinder still hot, very very hot...my dbf thinks the neighbor chick is a mole for the evil ones.

Syler is def patient zero..he seems to have all the powers...he popped up like Claire after Matt shot him and he controls other people's actions (fbi agent gun to her own head). The black dude who is seen with Syler in the previews for next week also is a bad dude...he stopped Matt from reading his mind and then flattened him at the bar. I really don't think I could handle hearing everyone's thoughts like that!!

I need a Heroes Siggie!!

I agree with emy 100%! Great episode! Hiro is my favorite so far too! Him and his friend are a barrel of laughs! Especially cuz his friend always has a video of Nikki wherever he is! LOL! I cracked up when he was watching it on his ipod! Too funny! I can't wait until he meets her in real life. Did you see the look on his face when Hiro told him they were headed to Vegas? I forgot what he said but it was classic!

That black dude in the bar creeped me out! At first I didn't know what to think. I thought maybe he just didn't have any thoughts in his head. And I thought the reason the cop passed out was because his mind was being overloaded with hearing everyone's thoughts who were in the bar. I think you're right though. The bald, black dude is the cause.

So it seams Sylar is this show's Jean Grey or more accurately, Phoenix. That's one bad mofo I'll tell you that! His apartment was freaky!

And Claire, poor Claire. She has got to have the worst luck! First she gets ran over by a football player at practice and breaks her neck. Then, the same football guy, tries to rape her and ends up killing her again?! Now, I'm no Dr. Phil, but if I guy you like winds up killing you not once but twice? That's prolly not a relationship you wanna be in, but what do I know? And I'm pretty sure her dad was the one who pulled the stake out of her head. Very freaky! And what kinda coroner do they have running the place? You tryna tell me the coroner doesn't know how to do a proper Y-incision? Her rib cage was completely intact!! Come on man, that's a little far-fetched. At least keep it real. That's where I have to draw the line.

I still don't know what is up with Nikki. She doesn't know what she wants to do. And why did I have the feeling that the black dude in the bar was her husband? Prolly because he was just as creepy as grandma. That lady's got a few screws loose.

And poor Painter Dude! Not only does your hot girlfriend leave you, but you have to draw a picture of her hooking up with the Not-So-Greatest American Hero. What a dweeb! And his brother isn't much better! What a low life.

To be continued...

I had the feeling that the coroner had just started the autopsy. Ergo, the rib cage would not have been cut yet. And, it seems that one of the first things the coroner would have done was take out the stake. I found it very funny that she woke up and realized that she was in the middle of an autopsy. Brilliant! Obviously, the stake was keeping her dead and when it was pulled she started to heal up again. I wonder what would kill someone who healed spontaneously?

I stand corrected. It was indeed a Y-incision. The editing faked me out. It looked like that as soon as the stake was pulled out she woke up. Tonight they showed us the whole thing as it played out....

My question is:

Does the end of the season climax with the nuke attack?

OR

Do the heroes go from season to season trying to find out who's behind it all? (I doubt this one, at least I hope not)

And if so, then what?

Someone mentioned it above and how it looked like a piece of DNA. DH and I were saying exactly the same thing and were trying to find it throughout the most recent episode. We noticed it:

*On the cover of Papa Suresh's book.
*Written on the bottom of one of Claire's textbooks as she pulled it out of her locker.
*Written across several of the heros' photos in Syler's apartment.
*As a necklace charm on the guy in the bar who was able to block Matt from reading his mind.

Anybody notice it anywhere else?

DH and I are getting more and more into this show each week. This most recent episode was good enough to warrent a season pass on the Tivo.

I like to show but we really need a little bit more tension and plot development. To that end, I am definitely liking the "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" mantra.

And I think that they take the girl, not the brother in Vegas. Did they make that clear and I missed it?

But, the four of us had a great time.

I'm with you Hobbs. Once again this show leaves me on the edge of my seat and jonesing for another hit. I find myself constently saying "Come on!! Get moving!!" LOL! It's slow at times, sometimes excruciatingly so....but they give you just enough to make you come back for more...

Hiro as a flipping "bad ass" complete in all black with samuri sword!! Loved it. At first I thought they were in deep doodoo because that would've meant an evil dood had the ability to stop time too! At first I didn't realize it was Hiro! Then I saw a closeup of his face and knew it was him. Thank goodness. LOL!!

It's about time they showed these people in the moment of there "hero" moments. I'm talking about Nikki and Isaac. Isaac looked freaky, but very cool.

Claire's gotta a little bit of her dad in her. She takes no crap from no one. I'm hoping she doesn't jump to the bad side. I don't think she will....but who knows.

Nikki's character is more like a schizo than an actual hero. You slap her around a little bit and she goes completely bonkers *yawn*.

The congressman dood is still a scumbag, imagine that. I'm starting to doubt he is gonna be one of the good guys.

I guess the cop dood was just a cameo. Too bad. I would've liked to see what he could do.

That bald, black dood really, really, really scares me. Which is wierd cuz I'm bald and black. But this cat has some freaky voodoo type stuff happening. I think his power is to drain others of their powers when they're near him. A slight variation on Rogue. That could present a little problem. Me no likey.

I can't wait until next week!!

Could the black dude be Micah's dad?

Did you catch Hiro's soul patch too...he sure did learn English fast...or maybe he came from farther ahead than 5 weeks in the future.... I knew it was him as soon as I saw him...I think I may like him both ways!! I would miss his geekiness. That RainMan rip off was hilarious!

I still think that Nikki's dual personality only comes out when a mirror is around...like her mirror image is doing it...could we determine if things (like rings etc) our on the other hand, etc. when she's a bad a$$?? Did you catch the tattoo on her back?

And Nate, talk about stupid...you go to Vegas for $$ and hook up with a woman 5 weeks b4 election day...oy vey! GEt a CLUE!

Another ?--why isn't Claire healed next week? She was all banged up on her face and in a hospital bed when her dad is talking to her. Maybe if she uses her spontaneous regeneration in "evil" ways like the car crash that stops her from being able to fix herself?

DW pointed out something I hadn't noticed. Does the congressman's brother somehow absorb the power of those around him? He has only flown around his brother, he drew the future after visiting Isaac, and now he can see time stop with the Japanese guy. Anyone else buying this?

You must have missed that part. When Peter and Mohinder are having discussion at the apartment, Peter speculates that his power only happens when he's around other people with powers.

That's why they were going to see Isaac, since his brother (the only other guy he knows with powers) was in Vegas.

I feel guilty for saying this, but Heros has just knocked Lost out of my #1 drama spot. It just gets better and better with every episode.

First of all, I have to agree that the bald black guy is the creepiest guy on TV right now. His stare in the bar gave me chills. Right now, I am thinking he is Silar. How can anyone else top this guy for creepiness -- he has to be Silar.

I actually thought the "one" they were taking between Congressman & Nikki would be the Congressman since Silar knows he is one of them. I'm thinking they don't know about Nikki yet, but I could be wrong. Since Nikki's alter ego went back to the congressman, I'm convinced Congressman is definitely going to be a bad guy.

Hiro visiting Peter on the train in his "Ninja" mode was great. He says he's from the future, so he must be from the future where they save the world in 5 days or however many days are left until the bomb in NYC.

..yeah, you're wrong. Dad even said, "only take this/that one" which I took to obviously mean that they knew that both of them had powers.

Also, just a comment, some have already mentioned this, but the show really needs to improve its pacing. It moves way too slow. They could learn a lesson from Lost. Even though Lost leaves you with more questions than answers each episode, they always manage to have at least one WOW moment as well as give you at least one huge answer each episode, whether it be about teh island or one of the characters. Heroes fails in that regard. We are 3 shows in and it still feels like the premiere.

Shakes, point taken--but I think last night's ep title Collision starts the ball rolling with them all "colliding." I really like this show and think it has more possibilities than Lost which is limited by the fact that they are on an island away from society. It too has replaced Lost as my fave drama but I still like Lost when they don't focus on Just Jack all the time

I read it at superhiro.org. It makes complete sense. This is what I think happened:

Dr. Suresh tells Sylar to kick rocks because he's gone off the reservation. Dr. Bennett, who has been following Suresh's research finds Sylar, tells him he's a giant among insects, and they kill Dr. Suresh. It kinda explains why they didn't kill Mohinder, I think.

ETA: Possible spoiler below highlight to read.

Okay, I've been able to watch the previews for next week show and this is what I've been able to get from it (consider this a broke version of SOTS, except without all the cool pictures, and witty writing and stuff)

1) Hiro's hair is in a pony tail. And it's pretty freaking long. That would suggest that he's from further than 5 weeks into the future. Which also explains why is english is so good. But then, this opens up a whole nother can of questions that I don't wanna get into right now.

2) Nikki is seen walking down the hallway of some house or apartment. Wherever she is it's clearly not the hotel room. Nathan (smarmy politician) is shown running from Dr. Bennett wielding a gun with a man who I assume is Sylar. So this means they take Nathan and not Nikki. Later Nathan stops running, Dr. Bennett points the gun at him, and Nathan shoots up into the sky. This leads me to believe that Nathan is not a bad guy...at least not yet. This also shoots down my theory that Skylar has the ability to drain heros' powers.

3) Claire is laying in one of those hospital beds with the gown on. Her dad (Dr. Bennett) tells her "Claire, you got to start trusting me". Later on in the clip they show her in her chearleading outfit all bloody and such laying in the same type of hospital bed. This leads me to believe that after the "accident" Claire's dad found her.....and now she knows that he knows. Also later, Claire is shown standing in front of someone in a hospital bed. Maybe the raper football player didn't die? This should be interesting.

4) Peter (smarmy politician's brother) finally hooks up with Isaac.

That's all I got for now...

Maybe. Maybe not. The actions that Hiro and others take to prevent the explosion in five weeks could change that. On that timeline, Peter and Hiro weren't meant to meet yet, but based on different choices and actions, their paths could cross sooner.

From heroes-tv.com

Interview With Leonard Roberts
Pssst - he's the hunky bald black guy

Way back in February, when University City's Leonard Roberts landed a role in a new NBC drama called "Heroes," his friends and family were excited for him.

Finally, in September, the show premièred and quickly became a sensation, setting the Internet abuzz, drawing 13 million viewers a week and earning a full-season pickup after just two outings.

Now, what Roberts' friends and family want to know is this: Where is he?

"They've been watching to see me," Roberts said last week from his home in Los Angeles. "They call and say, 'We didn't see you again.' But it's the best testament that they also say now it's their favorite show."

The game of "where's Leonard?" is almost over. Roberts, playing D.L. Hawkins, a prison inmate and husband of Niki Sanders (Ali Larter), makes his first, brief appearance tonight when he (spoiler-highlight to read) turns up at Niki's house on the run.(end spoiler) Oct. 30, he says, "is my first big episode."

"Heroes" is the story of ordinary people who begin to discover that they possess special powers. Eventually, they'll be called on to put their powers to work to save the world.

Hawkins has powers, too, Roberts is pleased to report, although he's necessarily cagey about his story line except to say that he interacts a lot with young Noah Gray-Cabey as his son Micah.

"My power is (spoiler-highlight to read) phasing," Roberts says. "That means I can manipulate matter, organic and inorganic."
In other words, walls can't stop him, and prison bars can't hold him.(end spoiler)

Aha. So then he's evil?

"It's complicated," Roberts says. "I don't know if I'd really say he's evil. It's all about perception. Anything's possible."

Hadn't watched it from the beginning, but caught the marathon recently. Really well done show.

However, I might STOP watching it. This is precisecly the type of running storyline that drives you crazy when each episode is over and you can't wait for the next one.

Soooo, maybe I'll just force myself to wait for the DVD and be able to watch it on my own terms! Have you ever done that??

In case no one knows yet, as listed on Imdb, the actor who will be playing the part of Paul Sylar is....

Sean Bean! That's a HUGE get by Tim Kring.

Also, it looks like Chandra Suresh will be making an appearance in a couple episodes.

wow, that is huge. I can't believe they got someone that well known given the relative obscurity of the rest of the cast. I guess we can officially put to rest the "sylar is black" theory, not that I ever subscribed to it myself.

This is huge! Great job casting Sylar!! I can't wait for his first episode. This must have just happened because I didn't recognize Sylar's voice on Prof. Suresh's answering machine as that of Sean Bean's.
